We couldn’t find it, only restaurants around. Maybe it’s super hidden or it doesn’t exist anymore.

Well, obviously not a free shower as it is part of the camping which you have to pay... I suppose the previous comment was posted by one of those guys who always try to cheat everywhere. Sad.

Very windy and pretty cold, stayed there for one night in our car. Could use toilet, ate pretty good dinner and breakfast.
It's olay for a stopover when you come from San Pedro/Chile and want to go to Salta or similiar.

Beautiful camping near Alcohuaz. There is swimmingpool, river, hot shower and small bar. The places are amazing and all have water and electricity. 10.000 p/p

parking lot is a small dirt lot, probably too small for a large rig. there was flush toilets and showers(with a knob for hot water...take that as you will). there was Wi-Fi in the parking lot. They asked for 100 pesos to park for the night.

Porton cerrado. Nadie en el sitio. Hablé con Sr. Klaus por teléfono. Solo es posible acampar con una previa reservación. Poco amable, lamentablemente.

ery nice campsite. Arrived in pouring rain and found the biggest a d very modern common room on the Carreterra where we could get warm near the fireplace and cook a meal in the adjoining kitchen. Nice hot showers, breakfast/lunch/dinner can be bought at extra charge from very friendly elderly couple. Possibility of buying vegetables from their green house.

Fantastic laundry service. Drop off at 9.30 am ready at 12.30 pm. Super clean, even handled two special requests perfectly ( Goretex jacket and wool vest) 350 pesos per basket. One of the best lavanderias on our trip.

This place is still open. It is just a large yard behind the small restaurant where you park beside the old junk cars and rubbish so not exactly an RV park but plenty of space for big RVs. There are toilets which we didn't use as we are self contained, didn't see any showers. Few nice dogs still running around. The lady corrected the gentleman's price of 100mxp up to 150mxp. A little expensive for only parking but didnt try to negotiate, happy to pay as I don't expect many people stop somewhere like this. Owner and locals friendly enough although we didn't chat as much as some other comments would suggest. Good for a stop over one night, beautiful drive to get here coming from the West over to Bahia de Los Angeles.

This place is a gem! Stopped for a night, stayed for a week in our mini 2wd camper truck. Fishing was AMAZING. Sand was not a problem, pit toilets are rugged, friendly staff, good restaurant. Slow wifi. 100mx per vehicle. Food, water, beer, gas and faster wifi down the road at the rancho grande market

Fernando and Juliana are such a nice couple. They have 4 apartments in Manga, with are all super comfortable. In Almendros you even can park your car infront of the house.
All the flats having dopplerooms, common areas, kitchen fully equipped. For 15k you can use the washing machine. And we even liked the Part Manga a lot. It is super safe, you can walk to anytime around. Its 20 minutes walking distance to the historic center.

We highly recommend this place.

We completed the track with a 2FWD Fiat Ducato. In retrospect, the track in dry conditions can be done with any car that has a certain ground clearance. There are a few key sections that can be mastered without any problems with a little off-road experience. As always in life, common sense is not harmful. 😁 Contrary to our expectations, sand was not a problem at all, although it was super dry. Basically, there is always a main lane that you can follow. Otherwise drive slowly (everything is completely offroad) and enjoy the view. 👍

We drove from La Pasarela with the help of maps.me directly to the volcano. No gate, no sign saying it is forbidden to drive. It‘s 42km from the ruta 40 to the crater. It‘s essential to have high clearance and 4x4 as it is very sandy at times and some very steep parts. It was absolutely magical for us to drive on black lava sand right up to the crater and enjoy the amazing views of that scenery.

There are 2 family indoor showers that weren't warm, at least when I used them. Same temperature than the outdoor ones but if you need privacy and want to shower and not just rinse it's an option.

Super location near to the river. We didn’t have any wind but there is a hill if there is some. It was really quiet during the night.

What a great stay! It was a horrible windy bike ride up to here, but we are glad we made it. Beautifully renovated railway building and comfortable rooms. Unfortunately the museum wasn't open when we were there.

Booked via booking.com in advance (not they ask for a 50% deposit ahead of time, but we weren't able to do that and they were understanding). I would book directly by WhatsApp next time. Cost about 2300 pesos for 2; it was worth it to escape the wind.

The kitchen useful, fridge, microwave, stovetop. There's nothing around so bring your food; they have some expensive drinks and snacks available.

Wifi in common area, which also reaches some rooms.

Las Palmas had an excellent restaurant, a nice pool, and excellent service. The sites had 15 amp plugs, sewer, and water. The RV parking area is towards the back of the. hotel and there was a large fifth wheel there as well. We are in a group of 3 class C RVs and all ran our Air Conditioners at the same time with no issues. The local police were super helpful as we missed the turn and GPS wanted us to go under a Like 7 foot tall tunnel. So we had to disconnect our towed vehicles so we could back up. The local police blocked traffic and then had us follow them to the hotel to make sure we made it safely. There's a large grocery store and even a Walmart very close. All and all a great spot to rest after a long drive from Lardeo. Plus it was not a bad drive to Real De Catorce from there. Also okay cell signal, not amzing (we have T-Mobile which uses TELCEL with a booster) also the wifi barely reaches to the RV area and is slow.

We stayed here for two nights before moving on to Crystal Beach. There was a lot of garbage on the beach. FYI when we were there the Big Store had permits all week long so I'm not sure why the previous poster said it was only Thur-Sun.

Easy to find. You can be seen from the road although no one bothered us.
In the morning there is an old and very loud train that comes every hour.

Enriques place is perfect for visiting Altun Ha. He proudly gave us a tour of his property and gave us information on the local plants that he is cultivating. He told us that wifi should be available soon , in the mean time you can connect in the shop he runs at the ruins entrance. I would guess there is room for two vans / suv with rtt. Big rigs / RVs will not fit. There is electricity to charge your devices in the palappa. Would definitely stay again.
