Great place...clean and not expensive...

We stayed 2 days there with our 33f rv. Very quiet place, next to the forest and on the bike path.

Cute little restaurant, especially for take-away. With coffee, ice cream and cake, but also nice lunch-bites. They sell fajita and quesedilla, with chicken or vegetarian. Not expensive: a fajita or quesedilla is about 1.500 pesos.

This was so clutch. We were able to get a good amount of water.. good water at that. We tried to be nice and purchase something first, but they were already closed unfortunately.

Place next to the beginning of the 40 Mile Desert. Can be reached from the North access road with any Car even with Trailer. But no Big Rigs. South access road only for 4x4 with high clearance because of some wash outs. Very quiet, good for stargazing.

Very nice gentlemen, just asked if we were getting fuel which we were so he had no problem with us filling up. Even have a new handle on it!

NF camp with pit toilets, picnic tables, fire pits. Some sites close to the lake. Very clean, great cell coverage.

Quiet little CG just off the highway. Clean and quiet.

This is a parking area for the canal trail. We picked up take out from the nearby George's restaurant and parked with a decent view near the road.

A clearing on the forest car off the road. Very quiet, no traffic, and cars can't see you from the road. There is an bit of rubbish scattered around but but too bad. Decent mobile signal on PublicMobile.

Take the Fork in the road south of the main road (just before or after the rock formation mountain). No signs! One hot and one tepid pool. Bathroom and trash pickup are closed due to Covid. 3 bar cell service.

Lots of homeless in the parking lot. Stayed here for a night but wouldn’t do it again.

CRC4000 pp entry. Pretty steep uphills to walk. If you like jungle walks this is a pretty one. There are 3 kinds of walks: 15min, 2 hrs round trip or 4hrs round trip. You’ll see waterfalls, monkeys and birds. Wear good shoes and a stick would be good too (very steep). The road to it is doable for up to truck-camper size, no bigger. Not much parking

Very nice open space at the end of a sandy road, 4WD recomended. Couple of fire rings on spot. Nice view on the valley with few lights from Barstow in the back. Enough room for a couple of rigs. Very private and quite.

Didn’t stay in this exact spot, I stayed in the neighborhood nearby, along the street. It was really quiet and I felt safe. A lot of people out walking dogs late night and early morning but no one bothered me. I left early morning since I am car camping and not in a van with privacy. Would recommend though, it was quiet and safe.

Stayed overnight one night in the sprinter. No “NO” signs. Excellent breeze and incredible sunset. A slow two bars on T-mobile great spot for sunset/sunrise. Light sleepers beware there’s a bit of engine breaking around that S turn during all hours, commute sounds on a Tuesday started at 6am.

This is on the road that heads to Cave Lake State Park. The gravel pull off has room for 3 - 6 campers if they park in a way that is considerate of others. Not all areas of the gravel lot are level. There is a nearby spur road, but parking on it had a sign that says “no camping”. Quiet at night.

This is a secluded Forrest spot. One lane paved road with lots of pothole navigation. There a few pullouts to choose from. River access was overgrown alone most of the road. This spot lived up to it’s name- the overgrowth is all Devils Club. Lots on nickel sized mosquitos waiting for your arrival. But super beautiful moss growing on and hanging from the trees. I decided to pick a spot closer to the highway as I needed cell service. This would be a good spot to hunker down for a couple of rainy days, or a late night pull-in for unbothered sleep.

Unserviced sites. $25 per day. Some sites are open but there is many with trees privacy. The lake is a trout pond. Very beautiful with hiking trails all around the lake. The caretakers are friendly great people. Quiet with very little noise from highway 53
