Probably one of the nicest "caribe style" beaches in Crete. Similar to Balos. I managed to camp here during lockdown but i believe even during low season could be possible.
there are toilets but those were locked.
there are showers but not sure if water is drinkable

This local social enterprise trains Ugandan youths from around the country in self sustainable farming practices and trades of sorts for further local training and impact in their own communities. Camping at UGX 55 000 per night per spot for two people, self catering accommodation UGX 80 000 pppn half board or UGX 120 000 pppn full board. Wifi is at a cost. Meals at UGX 30 000 pp. Peaceful and close enough yet far enough away from the busyness of Kampala. All proceeds go towards supporting the work this enterprise does. Several camp spots next to the river at both sides of the bridge. Some of them tent friendly

Between the fields, rest in front of the city.
In the morning and evening, a few farmers come over, all of them are friendly greeting.
We are here on a mown meadow, this is an agriculturally intensely used area, it can be, that next year this place is planted with fruits. Changing crop rotation.

you can get a small studio or apt for that price, if you stay outside the center.

Large rest area right off of 40. Lots of truckers but plenty of spaces to park. Huge grassy area for kids/dogs to stretch their legs. Got a good night's rest here

Established campsite with lake access and day-use picnic area. Two loops with plenty of multi-vehicle campsites. Fee is $8/day, $3/day per additional vehicle. Dogs must be leashed.

Garbage cans throughout, but a no services sign asking that garbage be packed out.

Really nice place by the river. Just next to the road, but not that much people passing.
We can dip un the water under the bridge for those who like cold water.
Place would be better without people's trash and cigarettes on the ground... just saying...

Easy renewal of vehicle import. Due to Pandemic border closures, this is my 3rd renewal. They are very friendly and helpful here.

1) I go straight to DGA first, take a number for the secretaries to the left. (wait less that 5 min)

2) Tell them you are renewing. They give you a slip of paper for the bank next door.

3) In the bank go straight to the secretary desks on the right, find the computer pad to input your name. Wait to be called (less than 5 min) get insurance HERE. They need your ownership, passport and your old insurance slip. Pay at the teller for insurance and provide the slip of paper from the DGA, pay your 30 renewal.

4) Return to DGA, take a number for the Caja and wait to be called. Hand in old permit, copy of passport, a letter in Spanish stating reason for extension. They provide a long receipt printout.

5) All times I have had to return the next business day after 11am to get the permit. Hand in the printed slip and sometimes the passport. They give the permit.

And just states that I entered into the country with my vehicle and I cannot exit due to the border closures. I used Google translate, it seemed to work alright. I made a copy of the original letter and just keep changing the date.

Vet is usually there Monday Wednesday and Friday. I found him there on a Tuesday. He is great and thorough. Good prices. Xrays, polls and a shot. Has rattlesnake venom.

Great spot near the launch ramp. Pit Toilet, a few fire rings and picknick tables. Plenty of shade and easy lake access. Larger rugs can park close by in the boat trailer area. we found this spot on a tip from the Rose Lake General store at Hwy 90, they have great homemade cookies that are worth the stop by themselves.

As described. Dump station works very well and easy. We spend one night. Close roads but ok.

Nice destination, great view of the San Juan River as it meanders through. Very close to Valley of the Gods to do a road trip, and also check out Sand Island petroglyphs down 163. Can get windy, yesterday around 8 and blew 30 mph gust for about 30 minutes and was done. Today about 10 mph gust but comfortable. Worth a visit very quite spot. You could here the river below in the early morning.

A very large area for dispersed camping. There are probably 50 different places to camp up here. It’s all free but you get the weirdos as a result. We were here during the pandemic on a Tuesday and it was busy but not crowded. There is ample evidence that it gets crazy at the weekend.

Verizon and att had some limited service

There’s a little pond that’s accessible with a 2 Wheel Dr. vehicle just off the main gravel road it looks like it’s used often it does have LTE service. Secluded with sounds and nature about an hour away from Medford. No services.

Okay for overnight stop. Hot Springs nearby (warmish water) Constant breeze stop hill above pit toilet area.

Had trouble find a place to drop our recycling in town so stopped here. Attendee was very friendly and helpful. Free. There is a donation box.

Rest area for cars, trucks, RVs with onsite bathrooms

We had time to spend a night au the spot where there is no forbidden sign but early in the morning a man from the city came to see us and told us we were not allowed to park here. We left. Too bad the view was great.

Great place just near the lake beach. There is a bar and a bathroom service. You need to pay a local tax to stay on the site.
