Stayed near jackass creek and Sherman pass rd. Great spot! Quiet and felt safe. No signal, heard birds in the AM.

No problems staying here but it was super busy all night and very busy in the morning with people exercising from first light. We were in a RTT. So will be a different experience for big rigs and campers. There are multiple clean toilet blocks with some closing earlier than others.

Large quiet pull-off. Would easily fit several cars or a vehicle + small trailer. Road fine for 2WD. Two bars T-Mobile & one bar AT&T cell service.

Quiet rocky beach. Usually there are no people around and the sea is calm because it is well protected from north winds an waves.
Accessible by dirt road from the village of Emona. No 4wd needed in dry weather but the last 50m of the road may be a bit of a problem for vehicles higher than 2.20m.
It is not especially designated as a camping spot, but according to Bulgarian wall it is legal to camp here (as well as most of the country territory).
There is good mobile / 3g coverage.
Normally there is a lot of wood for fire.

Lovely small cafe with nice selection of cakes and savoury tarts. Good selection of meat and cheeses for sale, also vegetables. Nice setting with tables outside and a cacti garden. Parrot breeding farm.

Rate is still the same, at 180NAD pppn but self drive now for free in post-lockdown. Ablutions are excellent, huge camping spot with nice fire pits. We stayed at spot no 1, on the waterhole and were visited by a family of warthogs and jackalls in the night so lock up your food away. There is a nice swimming pool and public areas. As said before, it's run by very welcoming people. Wood available at 50NAD per massive bag but it's not good for making cooking coals.
We were sad to leave after 2 nights and will be back again.

Nice place next to the river close to a very quiet dirt road without any traffic. More than enough shadow, or sun if you like. There are nice places along the whole road, we chose this one.

According to me really not a good spot to spend the night. We checked and left. It was really muddy and it is on a forest road so there were working trucks parked in the pull out. Would not recommend it.

Suitable for small rig or 4×4 cars only !!! We tried to go there with our 24' motorhome but the access road is really narrow and very steep. Would not recommend it . That said the spot seems great if you manage to go down..

Lovely spot on the river. Quiet, with a bit of local traffic, possibly so quiet due to Covid. All good through night with a little street noise.

Absolutely beautiful. We underestimated the drive there so make sure you’re in a 4 wheel drive car. If so you will be treated with the most northern and one of the most beautiful spots to camp in the state. Sun doesn’t set till super late during the summer but that just adds to how cool it is. There are trash cans and loosely defined parking areas but other than than that it’s pretty scenic. 10/10 camping here again.

Far enough off the highway that the noise isn’t an issue. Certainly a good place to stop for the night, close to Fernie.
