Tried to spend the night behind the Canadian Tire, great view of the Gaspé marina. Asked permission at Canadian Tire, manager said the parking doesn’t belong to them, but that others had done it with no problems. At 20h15, two employees from the mall came to tell us we could not spend the night there and had to leave and find another spot for the night.

Perfect spot for the night. it was quite busy but there was enough room for everyone. I didn't see any big rigs, mainly vans and tents. Manoeuvring something large could be tricky.

This spot is above 299 and back far enough you don't hear to much road noise. The first hill on the dirt road is starting to get some drainage erosion so be careful if you are in a car. Decent place to sleep or take a nap where no one will bother you.

State Campground, $15 a night. Great campsites right along the river, trout fishing and swimming/tubing are great activities. Most campsites have their own private river access. Herds of Bighorn Sheep can be seen, and frequently wander in to camp to trim grass/shrubs at unused campsites. You can get within yards of the animals without them spooking.

Each of the 12+ sites has its own fire ring, and picnic table. Multiple Pit Toilets on site, exquisitely clean and illuminated at night. There is no water source other than the river. Several pull-through sites that could easily fit large trailers.

Ample shrubs/shade to pitch a tent under to avoid the sun. August temperatures of 105°F at the peak of the day, and 50°F in the middle of the night.

Absolutely zero cell reception, you are tucked in a valley. Approach from the West is in well kept gravel road for the last 8 miles. Approach from the East is a longer gravel road, also well maintained.

14 day limit. Some spots right along the Colorado river.

Rolled in pretty late. Found a first come first serve camp site no problem for $8. It’s dark and I don’t know where the pit toilet is. Interested to see what this place looks like come morning. Nic’s temperature outside. That is all.

This place is closed to overnight camping or parking. It is day use only. We were visited by Becker PD to let us know. They were very friendly but did tell us that overnight anything is not allowed.

Amazing campsites on the cliffs edge with stunning views over the valley and lake. Steep terrain but the campsites are relatively spacious; we managed to easily setup camp with offroad trailers. The new owners (Paul and Katlyn since March 2020) were great hosts and a visit to their permaculture gardens is a must! They also arrange guided walks to the nearby waterfalls. The Gorodi Pass from Chitemba up to Mushroom Farm is a stunning drive! A MUST visit!!!

We spend a night here, nice quiet place.
Some garbage around, but we cleaned up. Fire pit with firewood. Felt safe.

Great free spot for the night. Right on the water. A little noisy with toad traffic but we didn’t mind.

The local police told us trust is permitted to sleep hire

Amazing place by the sea, quiet and calm. Free camping for caravans and tends, but there are no facilities. It is possible to choose between flat rocks or flat ground to sleep on. There were lot of people sleeping here too, but the place is huge so it is not a problem.
There is a little van bar that opens in the morning.

Perfect spot for a night or a couple nights. Camping is permitted. There is plenty of room and a few firepits but no toilets. The view of the Lake is just incredible.

Great spot in town to lodge or camp. We did not camp here but we stopped for lunch. Great hamburgers!

This place is closed for overnight camping, it's patrolled by Rangers daily. Ranger stopped by at 9:30pm and told us there's no overnight camping. He also mentioned the Vista Point on 101S that's 10 miles North in Stafford.

Nice spot, road is accessible even for a normal car. we found a spot about 50 meters back on the same road. next to the river it was a bit wet. river has very crystal clear water.
