A corner parking area with 2 picnic ramadas with tables and garbage bins just off the highway exit ramp. A little quieter than the truck stop right across the interstate. Plenty of space for a large rig or 2 along the outside and 3 or 4 shaded parking spots on the inner side but with very low hanging branches, would be great for a car to get a break from the Texas sun but wouldn't even try cramming my 8 foot tall van in there. Not another soul during our overnight there, trucks seem to use the Valero across the interstate which by the way had really good breakfast burritos and decent coffee. Definitely still have highway noise over here but otherwise extremely peaceful and got a great night's rest here.

Rest stop a few miles east of Des Moines. Clean, bathrooms, picnic tables, wifi, vending machines, lawn for pets.

Public free parking connected to a walking route with scenic view of the Atlantic. Garbage disposal, concrete table and possibility to park rv for the night (we did) and camping on grass. Small wall towards the road so traffic noise isn't a problem.

Big sandy parking lot. Seems private property, but no signs forbidding overnight stays, and locals seem to be OK with our presence. We were 6 vehicules and still room to spare. Close to road and small shops. Great view of the river, nice sunrise.

Wild camping on top of a plateau with before views. Donated public land with several unmarked established places to camp. Flat for all types of camping, roads may be rough for some vehicles as they are not paved. Very quiet. We spent 2 nights and saw no one. Can be a bit windy and dusty at times.

Traditional small Restaurant. I just asked if its possible do stay for the night - no problem and for free. Of course we went there for dinner. Normal local food, very basic. I also got electricity, the tip before was 5 €. Toiletts in the restaurant. Pleas not the parking lot is not even, drive-up wedges are a must.

We were a bit desperate and find this little pull off next to the highway. It's a little bit hidden. Ok if your in a pickle.

Parfait comme endroit pour une nuitée de passage tranquille. Table à pinic, poubelle. Se stationner sous les arbres près du parc. Pas de soleil plombant le matin. Enjoy

Huge parking lot for the municipal boat ramp.
be prepared for a lot of activity in the morning in summer when the weather for boating is good.
The lot is right adjacent to the town's sewage treatment plant! As long as the wind is from any direction other than east, you're good.

RV type campground at the end of the road, a bit of noise, but overall quiet. Bathrooms locked when checking in after hours. Cost is pricey at $45 for a hook up and $40 for just tent. Could just as easily park on road (saw another van doing this).

Lugar de comida caseira de excelente qualidade, bastante variedade e o preço é muito acessível. No prato de filé de peixe com molho de camarão, batata frita, salada... paguei 15,00 apenas e vem bastante comida.
Tem banheiro, água, wifi e um atendimento muito bom.

Place of homemade food of excellent quality, plenty of variety and the price is very affordable. In the dish of fish fillet with shrimp sauce, fries, salad ... I only paid 15.00 and a lot of food comes. It has a bathroom, water, wi-fi and a very good service.

No signage Got woken up at midnight by park police - it's considered public property and therefore no overnight parking. went to Walmart. it was dark, and somewhat private. You could probably park here during day and bike to beach etc.

Still there and working fine. Free. Nothing else to ad.

Decent spot in a pinch. Lots of teens come up here and smoke around sunset. Besides that no complaints. Was other campers there as well. Not really any privacy so bring window shades

Thought this would be a nice spot to camp on the lake but it's really not. Pulled in and out straight away.

It's a really small batch of grass near mountain road that isn't fully level. The road to the place is good, but access to the grass pitch is a bit steep, not great for standard 2wd cars. It's also hard to turn around the car there because of little space and tire spins on grass and sand.
It's clean, but bushes hide the views. Lakeside spots are better.

Beau spot près du fleuve. Pleins de campers y était, belles rencontres et beaucoup de plaisir dans ce stationnement. Des toilettes publiques propres sont à disposition près de la gare de train. Bruyant jusqu'à 22h, après très bien.

Lovely owner. Lovely spot (33) right by the river. Surprisingly no mosquitos at all! 🎉

Large parking lot with many flat spots - solid as far as rest stops go. No "no overnight parking" signs. pet relief area on car side. we stayed 1 night en route to Chicago. can hear the road noises so bring ear plugs!

good Verizon LTE and welcome center has free (but slowish) wifi.

service plaza has dairy queen, Panera, and pizza spot as well, including a 7-eleven.

Nice leveled gravellot close to the NF road. Easy access also for 2wd or bigger rigs. Near a little creek and has a stony firepit. It is covered by big trees. For us the nicest spot in this area where you can find some other places to camp. Bring Mosquitospray!
We have had Internet from GoogleFi but we have a LTE booster.

This is a wonderful campground that offers good privacy in a very beautiful setting. Bathrooms are what you should expect for a rural setting. We stayed on a Friday night and there was only one other camper there. It's also only 20 minute from Max Patch so make sure you stop by and see it.

Super spot pour dormir tranquille sans bruit. Possible avec tente! Douche et jacuzzi disponible pour un tarif raisonnable.

Fantastic location. Room for two vans. Some traffic but minimal.

$18/night. MOST Of the campground is by reservation but there are quite a few FCFS spots in the middle and back of campground, which are usually all full by mid-Friday morning. 2-3 boat ramps with access to East Lake. Numerous pit toilets and potable water stations. No cell service. Camp hosts sell firewood for $6/bundle. You can buy showers down the road at East Lake RV Resort.

Amazing view straight out of bed. The site is right on the road, but has almost no traffic at night. Outhouse and table. Great to go to hike on the Heritage Trail down to Dawson.
