One of several spots along this forest road. We're camped downhill but saw this on our walk, not as level as the spot we're in but still a good spot. No views unless you walk to get to them, very hazy here has been since we arrived 2 days ago, maybe distant wildfires, not sure.

level concrete flat for a van or two in something that looks like an ATV sand pit. very quiet and discrete. easy to reach.

Nice spot. Easily accessible from the road multiple sites didn’t catch any fish.

stayed here one night without any issues. its a little more private and off the main road than the pullout thats listed nearby. there are pit toilets here. no T-Mobile service

Loved it here but the bugs are terrible - so if you don't have a screened rig or enclosure you may be very uncomfortable.

There are actually multiple places to camp. The actual campground is in another location at 47.6699590, -112.0168446. It is a little closer to the highway but is surrounded by trees so it is more private. It is also closer to the boat launch. The kayaking in Davis Lake was great! You can also camp at one of the many parking lots around the lakes. Each has a pit toilet. Our favorite spot was at 47.6833977, -112.0452452. It is nestled between 3 of the lakes/ponds but the bugs seemed to be worse there.

Freezout Lake is a great area for birding and wildlife watching. Watch out for the snakes. We almost stepped on a couple.

We use Google Fi for our internet. Freezout Lake is the best data/phone reception we have had in Montana so far.

$4 fee unless you buy gas or something from the gas station for $10. They will give you a key.

A lot of great spots close to the river. Verizon service is good at times. Our 2wd Promaster has no problem getting in and out. Be careful though because a few people got stuck while we were there. Remember to pack it in and pack it out. There are no trash cans. Bears have been frequenting the area so please save a bear’s life and do not leave food outside. Remember to put out fires as well. Should be cool to the touch before leaving.

do not stay here in the summer unless you enjoy the smell of baking cow poop. also do not stay here if you have a dog because they may get smelly. hardly any shade. no real pull off for camping. not a fan. won’t be staying!

Rest stop as soon as you cross over from Wisconsin to Minnesota. Signs say 4 hour limit for cars and 10 hours for commercial vehicles. We are in a converted Sprinter van so are going to chance it with the semis.

Update: It was fine. Stayed longer than 10 hours, but so did several other vehicles.

Last rest stop in Missouri going south on 29; decent bathrooms. It’s a big stop for semi-trucks and it’s close to the highway.

Half the parking lot is lighted the other is dark, so there are options depending on what you prefer. There’s also public recycling in the northeast corner. Seems safe and mostly empty besides two others camping here.

Awesome location by Lake Superior. During our stay was quite busy but there are a lot of spots where to set-up. The two main areas have fire pits and the trail continues to couple more locations. Beware that after the last location the trail is a dead end and you will have to back up out of there.

Small lake in board road with a dark and cold water, there are so many little stores around it, at 12 km(10 miles) of the city center.
