Signs all over say “no overnight parking”. There were several campers there when we arrived and it’s a beautiful spot, but they told us don’t stay the night as the police will probably move you on. We went back over the bridge and stayed at Cracker Barrel instead. Shame, it’s a nice place :(

It’s a paid parking lot, lit and exposed to nearby traffic. Did not feel comfortable staying the night here and would not recommend.

Flat area that is part of the Brown Brothers Winery. Toilets can be used across the street next to the Celar door. There is also a restaurant there.

I would definitely call this closed. Almost stayed the night here with at least six other vans and an rv- cops showed up around 11pm banging on doors saying that there’s no overnight camping allowed anywhere in the town of Frisco including the nearby Walmart.

We had to drive back to a rest stop that we stayed at the previous night off 70.

Closed and gated in the winter. Don’t bother trying if there’s any snow around.

Great spot to car camp for the night with amazing view of the city. We cooked and had dinner in the tailgate. Lots of visitors even late at night so park on the side of the restrooms if you don’t want to be disturbed by talking and cars. 24 hour restrooms a bit grim but better than nothing.

A great spot if you are looking for a spot to conduct a “spring clean” of your vehicle, each site has a big clean paved area and grass in front of you onto which you can unpack plus you can use the washing machine (4kg load) at R30 per hour (incl soap etc). There is also a swimming pool. Layout of sites is a bit institutional like and apart from above not much to do.

Laundry priced by the bag. Machine washed, dried and folded (not ironed).
A good sized bag is 20,000 UGX.

At the location is a house with green gate with an IAA sign. Ring the bell and Marget will attend to you. There is no sign. The location marked on Google Maps is about 200m wrong.

Place is very rundown with over grown grass and bushes. Pool is nice green color 😉 We did not stay since it was not looking safe or appealing.

We where the only one- big place next the river. (Mosquitos too) Lots of trees. Friendly guy. Good place to stay safety if you want to visit Valparaiso. 5 min walk to the busstation ( Nr 520, every 30 min)

Just near the sand track, there is an alone tree, a mopane with shade. There is a fire pit but no firewood. A lot of flies during the day but not at the night. We don't see animal. We did not see anybody on this track.

Yeah this place stinks. They only have non potable water, and nobody wears a mask.

The road here is closed right after you enter public land and turn left as of March 3, 2021. There is a gate blocking entrance as well as a road closed sign.

We had to stop here for the night because the state park down the road was full (and this is almost full too). $50 for full hook up site.

Beautiful spot! There are two spots pretty close together and I stayed in the “second” one. Quiet after dark.

$35 for van site. No longer will participate in Good Sam program. Check in process was very easy. The park is very organized and clean.

Arguably the best overnight spot in the area, especially if skiing Vail. Real bathrooms too if you need it. So many towns around here don’t allow any overnighters.

For free Vail parking, leave the rest stop early and park on the street by West Vail Mall bus stop at 7am for a spot. Free buses come frequently to give you a ride to Vail Resort + Village.

Higher ground.

Rolled into Key West about 9pm. Parked up at the Winn Dixie and was able to sleep all night uninterrupted.

Right off the highway. Look for the big green water tank on the left. During the muddy season, this was the driest of the three options right in this area. We stayed at the first level site on the right but saw other folks farther back. After some rain, the ground was sandy but not muddy. Can hear highway noise but it’s a quiet road, particularly after dark. AT&T - occasionally got one bar of service. Not the most scenic spot of all but serviceable. Great for heading into Taos the next day. 64 was a beautiful drive!!

First eastbound rest area in Idaho after Oregon. Mild noise from highway. Max stay 10 hours. Porta Potties outside. Nice view of Snake River.

Lots of little spots to pull over. Rougher road , no complaints. People kept to themselves. Relatively quiet easy on off road to highway. River was low. Ok views there.

Nice spot but we were woken up by loud jets all morning from the Navy base. Pit toilet was fine, no worse than most and better than many. Tmobile service would flip between Edge and LTE (maybe between two towers?)

A fantastic spot! If you're fine with roadside camping, this can't be beat. As mentioned, it is a bit off the road and safer than the other pull outs nearby. There were only 10-15 cars overnight and the views and beach can't be beat. Thanks for the spot. No Verizon service.

Small lot on a hill in a neighborhood. there are some houses nearby but not directly in veiw. 2 signs saying No Overnight Camping but I showed up after dark and I'm going to try anyway.

Nice camp on top of a hill with a great view of the old main-caldera.Toilet, Shower (with donkey for hot water) dish basin, two shades to sit under (both with tables and benches), sitting areas to watch the water hole, Wood Oven for cooking, big braai area with free wood, one small movable braai. They also sell excellent Rauchfleisch (smoked and dryed meat). No mobile reception but a million stars to watch at night N$ 150 ppn

Have spent many nights here on and off over the past couple of months, even a few days in a row a couple times. Never have had an issue, have seen other campers and RVs here aswell. Just park in the side lot

As described in last post. 5000colones. One of the nicer campsites we have been on. Just traveling trough so only spend one night. Added some updated photos. We stayed with a 4x4 with rooftop tent. Met another traveling german couple and it was very nice!
