Is the only place in the city, (or country) for Toyota, where they really have an idea what they're doing. for service, spare parts and what else you need. they have lifts, and work, only mecanic that looks like in europe. we made a small service on our hzj78 landcruiser, liquids and greases. and they're really frirndly, helpful, uncomplicated and fast. totally recommended

There is a sign at the entrance that says no camping within 1/4 mile of the highway, not 1 mile or so like others have said. The spots within this 1/4 mile also have signs that say no camping. After that, there are tons of spots to choose from that accommodate rigs of varying sizes. The main road is decent. The side roads get really nasty after rain.

10 soles for a menu with vegetable soup and a main. It was very tasty and nice to finally eat some vegetables in Peru! They also serve fresh juices, yogurt and fruit salad

I’ll bet this is a destination stop for Argentinians. They don’t mess around with meat here; lots of it and very, very good!

Fresh salad to make you feel good about yourself.

Came from Chile and boy is it good to be back in Argentina!

Right next to the river with very clear water there is a rock plateau to park your van. The view of the mountain ridge behind it is amazing. The water is perfect to dip in on a hot day, many fish swim here. No cell service.

Great Kayak Tour with Esteban! We did a tour at 8 a.m. and enjoyed a calm lake with stunning views. Esteban is a lovely guy and passionate guide. He allows you as much time as needed to explore the caves. Good equipment. Highly recommended!

Very nice food here. My partner ate 'Carne mechada' it is pulled cow. I normally rarely eat meat but this was amazing (with rustic potatoes and salad!! The mint and ginger lemonade is nice and refreshing. Don't forget to try the 'maqui sour' it is like pisco sour but made with a local berry. I normally also don't drink alcohol but I couldn't resist this flavour. Damn, what this restaurant makes me do. Enjoy.

Petroperú in San Luis has two taps with potable water. Good water pressure.
If you have a pre filter, I'd recommend to use it as there's quite some sediment in the water.

This is the terminal of Ferries del Caribe that goes to the Dominican Republic three times a week. 120$ per person with additional costs for a bed/room, meals and vehicles. bicycles can be brought on for 20$ and gets a non specific spot in one of the three huge garage floors. I could lead my bicycle all the way to this spot and didn't need to go through my bags at check in. The process to bring it on is very easy and you can pay for the bicycle in advance(but not directly at their website) or at check in. They advertise to check in between 1-4pm for people without vehicles and you can easily come 3:45pm as there's no stress throughout the process as long as you've paid for everything already and no information needs to be changed on the papers (if you're unsure then coming early is definitely recommended).

The ferry is in many ways a toned down Caribbean cruise (or a typical long haul ferry if you've done that). you'll have live music, a bar, gaming zone, a a la carte and a buffet restaurant and plenty of places to sit down.

I haven't found any WiFi yet.

if you've been to the US you'll be able to use the same SIM card as before. if not let me recommend you to not get a physical SIM card if you only need data. finding a shop selling one can take time and the internet deals are poor. You're much better getting an E-sim that should get you deals where 1GB=1$. Mint Mobile has 20GB for 15$ right now and other eSim might have similar deals. as long as you're phone can handle eSims this is by far the best deals for a visit in Puerto Rico and saves you plenty of time as they are activated in minutes after purchased online.

the WiFi at the airport is good so if you haven't purchased the SIM already you should be able to do it whilst there

We got the option to sleep in a room with double bed (10k) or in a room with single bed (7k). He also offers us to sleep outside. There is an area for tents on a flat sandy place and he said it is 3k a night.
Our room (double bed) had a mosquito net.
It is still bucket shower and toilet.

Yummy, inexpensive shawarma restaurant. We got a huge plate for 2 people, 2 drinks, baclava and a coffee for about $15. The chicken was better than the carne. Plate came with pickles, salad, coleslaw, chips. Yum, nice change!

This place is not closed. There are poles so people do not drive vehicles out on the playa. Lots of palapas on both sides of the Las Glorias sign. Plenty of dirt lot camping space for overlanders on inland side of polls. I’m currently camping a little south of this location. Just walked the playa to check it out. I don’t see anyone taking money to camp. Locals enjoying area as they get ready for Semana Santa next week.

Nice spot with pretty views of the surrounding mountains! The road up here has a few new developments but most up top seem to still be in the building phase so no occupants. One other truck camper here overnight. I think a few ski resort employees park here in the morning.

There is a water tap in the Walmart supermarket car park. There are several security guards, ask one of them before using it. We fill our tank without problems. They told us it is drinking water.
