On Saturday they close now at 1:30pm. We got there at 2pm and no one would fill up our propane tank anymore.
We came back on a Wednesday afternoon before 4pm and they filled up our U.S. 15lbs propane tank, it only cost $4!

Nice big flat car park, tends to get busy at the weekend as there are some great hiking trails. Stayed 2 nights with no problems.

I paid 170 dalasi to cross on my foreign motorbike. I waited about 3 hours for the ferry to come. they opened ticket sales like one hour before the boat arrived, so just waited at a shop across the street for the first 2 hours. once I had my ticket, they let me drive through another gate and I could wait a bit closer in a less crowded area. to buy the ticket they will open a gate on your right side and then you can walk up to a window to pay. wild ride on the boat lol

Stopped a couple of nights while visiting Craters of the Moon as their campground was closed for the winter.

Nice quiet location and we even saw an Otter.

Lugar tranquilo, ficamos bem próximo a guarita do Salva vidas, em frente a praia, não tivemos nenhum problema, tá bem iluminado e próximo ao centrinho. Passei uma noite bem sossegada.

500 pesos per vehicle per night. It was extremely windy when we were there. The little beach off to the right had zero wind protection. Lots of trash and fish remains all over our palapa. A lot of potential with the amenities offered we just got bad weather and were unable to enjoy it.

Not suitable for heavier vehicles. Very soft sand. Had to dig our truck out when we got to the beach. Beautiful spot! Clear water. Ton of shells.

Such a welcoming village. We were given a huge bag of potatoes and the gentleman refused any money.
Great walks up the local hills.

Water bottle filtered fill station with bathrooms and trash cans. Will fit one gallon jugs.
Good place to chill during the day if you’re staying the night at Cracker Barrel.
I like this park because you can walk around on the paved path and still have eyes on your van. There is also a charging port next to the fill station you could charge a jackery at.

Big Scam! Manipulated Pumps!
We payed with card, the first cardreader said "declined", so she got another one that worked on our card. Now we have 2 bookings on the card from different companies with the same amount. Trying to get it back but probably we'll have no luck on that. Don't fill here!
If the reader says declined, let them give you the receipt that says declined...

There are 3 sort of places to stay near the end of paved spur Rd 406 and 3 pins on the map, but there seems to be some confusion about what is or isn't free.

1. The northernmost location is the obvious NRA pay campground with picnic structures, grills and pit toilets. Appear to be 5 sites with pay station. $6/night
2. The middle location is down the dirt road on the left after the last site and privy. There are carsonite posts designating the area for camping. According to the sign at the pay station, this is the primitive camp area and is still $6/night. There are about 3 or 4 unmarked spots.
3. The southernmost area is a small pulloff near the literal end of the road by the lake. According to the sign at the pay station, camping is only allowed in designated areas within Amistad NRA.

From other comments, there seems to be minimal/sporadic enforcement. You be the judge.

It is truly a place with a lot of wild animals. We saw a lot of fresh Lion footprints in the area were warned by locals against camping there. We traveled by bicycle. I would recommend staying cautious.

Nice hotel for 60 soles for a matrimonial room. The bed is confortable, the shower is hot if you ask them before, the room is spacious and the building safe. It is well located in front of restaurant and coffee shop. I totally recommend. The noise of the street stops early in the night and starts back in the morning. Good place to rest. Good WiFi.

We came here to get water, but the rest area was so beautiful that we stayed for the night. We parked in the car area, but this is a very busy truck rest stop, so they have to park in the car area too. Nevertheless, it was fairly quiet and the overhead lights don’t shine brightly in the car area, so we had a good night’s sleep.

Stayed here for two nights during the snowstorm this weekend. 24 hour limit so you need to leave during the day but I had no issues. Signs said no camping, I saw people with rooftop tents and even normal camping tents set up in the parking lot. I probably wouldn't recommend that but 100% no issues with vans/'stealth camping'. No bathrooms, full 5G service with Verizon

Superbe spot. Piste accessible sans 4x4 assez facilement (nous avons un van avec une bonne garde au sol). Si pas de 4x4, se stationner près de la plage qui se trouve à 200m vers le Sud. Il y a une bifurcation à 150m du point final (prendre à gauche).
Superb spot. Track accessible without 4x4 quite easily (we have a van with good ground clearance). If you don't have a 4x4, park near the beach which is 200m to the south. There is a junction 150m from the end point (turn left).

This road is closed. There's a rancher that has built a horse pen across the road. We drove a long way to get there just to have to turn around. However, we went back and camped and Alstrom Point and was not disappointed.

Here lives Hubert, a really nice German expat. He has a small house and a beautiful garden with fresh Mangos, Papayas and ocean view. I met him on the pirouge and he invited me to camp with my tent in his garden.

For 5000CFA he will let you camp there also. You can find his contact data on the ‘Contact’-site of www.bijagos.de

Take a look at the weather forecast before planning to stay up here. The weather can be pretty intense. A 20% chance of rain down below in Tucson turned into 4” of snow and blizzard winds up here. It was a wild night.
