From Moz to eSwatini:
Super easy, very fast border crossing with little traffic.
Hassle-free stamp out in Moz. Warm and efficient welcome in eSwatini. One thing to note is that you can pay the 100 Rand/E road tax with credit card.

Lovely campsite 10 minutes from an amazing beach. Extremely efficient check-in, nice pool, restaurant, & grocery on-site. Quiet woodsy sites with & without electric. Bathrooms weren’t the cleanest, very old & somewhat creepy but fine. Reasonable price for 2 adults w electric (20€), arrived around 7pm mid-week in April & plenty of spots available. In summer definitely not as easy.

This is an RV park vs a campground. I arrived at this park and learned that you must have an RV to stay there. No car sleeping allowed. Although there is a multi sectioned sports field parking lot right next door that I stayed at overnight with no problems. No sign, saying you cannot park overnight

Standing in front of the blue house (public bathrooms), to the left there is a small stream flowing into the bigger one. Water is very clear and potable, as confirmed with local people.

Far too expensive for what is offered. April 2024 we are two motorcycles and wanted a private room. Were charged R180 and got the keys to a room with one large bed and two bunk beds a mini fridge, shower and toilet. Toilet water preasure is bad, water stopped working all together in the morning but we were leaving so didn’t bother to ask or complain. Went to a hotel the next night, paid R117 for something twice as good.

The prices are still the same: USD 10 for single persons or USD 15 for the matrimonial rooms.
Our room and also the bathroom was very clean. Hot shower and Wifi worked well.
They let us park our motorcycles (F800GS) inside behind the house. As the steps to get the bikes inside are quite high you can use the big stones which are laying around to build your way!
Dinner and breakfast were excellent!
Just to know: the 'real' village Baeza is a little bit further away (like 10min walking).
This hostel is in the older/ original village location.

Very big and good spot for big camper trucks, motor homes or vans. A good place as well for tents. Lovely views, and not far from the town. We were there alone, and no one came. Very quiet and peaceful. Recommend it!

Un sitio muy grande para camiones camper, autocaravanas o furgonetas. Un buen sitio también para carpas. Bonitas vistas y no lejos del pueblo. Estuvimos allí solos, muy relajados y seguros. Muy recomendable!

Very nice fort with a great view over the city of Luanda. It also has an impressive military museum. We were surprised about the upkeep of the vehicles and equipment. Entrance is 264 pp. There’s also a restaurant with a nice view over the port and the CBD with specials for 7800

The police in Luanda is trying everything to get a bribe. We were stopped twice in one hour. We stayed calm and patient telling them we pay the fine with a receipt. They said it takes a lot time and we need to go to the police station. We were relaxed until they gave up and let us go. The next group even called their english speaking chief who asked me how much money I have (he wanted 50000). He also gave up in the end and told us not to come to the police station to pay but if we want we can give them the 5000 we have or just leave. The disappointment in their faces when we left without paying was hilarious, they spent 30 min with us :)

Didn’t see any actual camping spot except for a small pull off, and the dirt road gets pretty sketchy without high clearance/4WD. Didn’t seem worth going out of your way to. I moved on to somewhere else.

We stayed at this great spot two nights going to and from Nova Scotia. Nobody else here except a few cars visiting now and then. Lots of space and level for our truck and 5th wheel. Quiet.

We rolled in at 2 am, only two other vehicles here. Be sure not to miss the driveway to turn in on your right, it comes up fast after the bridge. We missed it and had to do a circle to get back to it. We were hoping for a boat but didn’t see any, it was a short stay. Good spot.

We are a bit surprised no one before mentioned issues with the dog. There are three big ones. They all seem friendly at first and are as long as you stay away from the house (where toilets and showers are in). The dark brown dog runs towards you when you walk to the toilets and barks. It blocked the way for me and made biting motions with its mouth. I turned back, did not dare to pass it. My boyfriend is more secure with dogs and walked to the toilet. The dog grabbed his pants from the back. Luckily did not bite. Once you are in the toilet it stops caring.
There was another guy in a tent who was constantly bothered by this dog when he walked somewhere as well. Annoying as I never managed to shower because of that dog…
No issues with the other two dogs however one of them walks around like a ghost dog. No normal dog behavior, we suspect sth terrible must have happened to it.

Owner are friendly, campspot is nice toilets very dirty with trash and Toiletpaper lying around on the floor.

Roadside restaurant. Good, filling food. Wifi.

I paid CLP$7000 for dinner, including soup, salad, main, and a coke.

Sign on the door says open from 7am until midnight.

The young man inside speaks a little English.

We spent a calm night on a grassy area at the black of the place, far from the road. We were warmly welcomed by the sympathetic owner for free. Mini-farm and outdoor games great for the kids. The restaurant is good and freshly pressed jugos de cana are incredibles !

Awesome spot! Near Sahalie and Koosah waterfalls. Quiet and hidden from road if you go in a bit. Very exposed with no shade in the summer so it might get pretty hot. Snow in the winter would also make this inaccessible.
Plenty of spots and easy to level as it's all loose lava rock.
Great T-Mobile signal here and along the highway. Seems very clean, almost no trash around. Keep it that way!
