Great wild camping spot no amenities. Plenty of room for big rigs and rvs.

Freshly shucked oysters and other fresh seafood dishes. Located along side the road as you head towards the center of San Blas. The oysters are delicious- 120 pesos for a dozen oysters and they are huge oysters! A perfect place to stop for a beer and snack on a hot day!

Nice paved road leads all the way in from Hwy 14. Numerous campsites, with some easy to access right next to the paved road if you don’t mind a bit of road noise in the morning. I easily fit my truck and travel trailer at site 10A (on the right side just past original poster’s coordinates). Windy in January.

We stayed 2 nights on the beach. Bumpy road. Quiet dirty, windy but very close to Zona Franca. If You need wind protection and more quiet place we recomend Parque Chabunco near the airport.

This is the place if you have a small rig and would like to share your stay with loads of young and open-minded people. It is still work in progress in and around the house, but the there is a superhot shower and fast wifi. The hosts are extremely friendly and the price for a night is around 100 peso for two persons. Only disadvantage - it is twenty minutes away from the city centre. (by colectivo)

Great bakery. Good buns and the best sugar donut I think I’ve ever had. 11 am was when the fresh stuff came out. Went in the back and got it off the baking tray. Mmmmmm

Wow!! The honey is incredible. They have 4 types and will do a tasting, prices range from small to large jars, $4000-6500 pesos (may be a bit more for propolis). They’ll show you the bees, have you sample honey straight from the honeycomb, show you their chickens...just an awesome experience overall. What a family!

A great little 'hole in the wall' spot with authentic, delicious ceviche!! Presentation of the food was 10/10! Friendly staff and casual dining. Go during lunch hours as we tried to stop by the night before for dinner and they were closed.

Very shady and flat park area with playset and some buildings, bathrooms with running water and flush toliets close by. accommodating ticket booth attendant/cave tour guide allowed us to camp inside the grounds for the night and left bathroom open for us. also kindly offered room inside a building with fan and showed us how to undo some of the barb wire near locked entrance to get out in morning if we didnt want to wait for him to come open up at 10am next day. very nice! quiet, had it to our selves. theres a great little camping spot right next to playground to pitch a tent and hang a hammack, complete with fire pit. quiet at night except one of the 4 friendly dogs that hang out there started barking at something for a little bit in the middle of the night. you can park a rig overnight outside the gate to the entrance, closes at 5. quiet road with trees, plenty of room. or ask to park in the lot before closes up for the day. caves are 100 mx pesos/person. didnt charge anything to camp.

We drove in but would have missed it because co-ordinates are for the spot by the river rather than where you need to turn to get down to the river so we have corrected the coordinates.

hotel and restaurant. didnt stay but ate in the restaurant. food was very good, mostly typical yucatecan dishes. the space was very cool! gardens with birds and pools and ponds of fish everywhere. farm animals out back. definitely walk around the patio behind the first dining room. a little cafe with an impressive lineup of drinks front of house. menu featured a whole page of vegetarian options! very sweet waitress. hotel looks cool and well kept. artesanales available to buy too.

Boutique Inn just outside Santa Elena. Offers various casitas to rent spread throughout the gardens. small casitas cost $40USD. we asked to camp with our tent in the garden, they charged 200 pesos/person with full access to pool, bathrooms, showers and wifi. plenty of places throughout property to pitch a tent. very quiet and great bird watching. maybe a little expensive for camping admittedly, but we had a pleasant experience. they also set up a big campfire for the guests every night 🌙

To where the road ends

This was perfect for us with our rig at this time of year. Right at the end of a dead end Street. You can level off on the crest. Super quiet. Short walk back to beach access. Good for larger rigs that are self sufficient. There are free toilets along the beach during the day. No other facilities

Very narrow und challanging gravel road to the site. We could not make it with our 22“ RV with low undercarriage clearance. Had to turn around and that was not fun either. Beware! 4x4 or for vans only.
