Lakeside view. Cafe has a simple menu of sandwiches, soup or scrambled egg. I had a rather small portion of eggs and bacon for 5,000chp. WiFi not working. Don’t miss the walk to the miradors.

Awesome campground right at the beach. Friendly owner, very quiet and peaceful, many different birds. 8$ per person per night, but it’s worth it. Stayed five nights and met many other travellers. Wi-fi pretty good.

Tyre slashing again!
Be careful in Valpo,we enjoyed this bad experience in the day ; at 10.30 in the city and with trafic around 😤
Don t stop if it is happened, men could organize a car jacking...We found 2 men really nice to help us to change the tyre, that we could not repair in regards to the impact too large of the knife.
Unfortunately,Valpo is not safe and all Chilean people we met told us it is an unsafe and violent city. Be aware 🤗

Very beautiful location. The road in from La Paz was very good condition, had recently been graded. When using Google maps It tried to take us through a private section of road with a gate and security right after the pavement ends and they told us we had to turn right right when the pavement ends and take the dirt perimeter Road. The road to the beach from this perimeter road was good condition when dry with a few wash outs. Location was accurate. Had whole beach yo ourselves but the water wasn’t really appealing for swimming because of muck and rocks. We ventured further down the main road to see ‘Las dunas’ on our dirt bikes and it was very beautiful and worth the drive if capable vehicle, but the road gets nastier as you go. Only continue on if have high clearance and 4x4 and not and RV.

Wow great spot! Be aware you have a small river crossing, max 20cm deep. With a little clearance okay 2wd. But check out by foot beforehand. Once a day a car is passing.
That is a spot why we love overlanding.

Follow the dirt track across the deep ditch then go straight to firm packed spot for 2 vehicles or to the left and park along the wide spot in the track. (Sand is deep if you get off the track.) Beautiful views of the ocean and very quiet other than pounding waves.

Not the best YPF where we were for a night. Lot of mosquitos, noisy. But clean and good private hot shower with toilet for 40ARS (ca. 10min). Friendly people.

We really liked this campsite, especially its location as we did have a few water buffalo near our campsite and had hyenas come by our car in the night and the others who were camping near us said the day before they saw a large pack of wild dogs.

The abolutions were some if the cleanest we have seen in a very long time and the showers were hot with good pressure. We were also at campsite 6, which has a fire pit and a bbq along with a table, however it was partially broken.

One thing to be aware of is the baboons! In the morning we had a baboon steal a sealed tupperware out of one of our shelves in our gullwing with in seconds and I was standing literally right next to our car, so just stay alert.

Other than that great spot, but make sure you book ahead at their office in Maun, as we needed to show our booking to the gate.

We paid 520 pula for 2 of us for one night.

Buen lugar para pasar una noche, linda vista y fácil de encontrar, muy tranquilo y silencioso. No del todo plano pero se soluciona acomodando unas piedras.

Cheap rooms, with private or shared bathrooms and showers. Located in the main avenue of this small town. Pet friendly. This should be marked as a hotel, and not as an informal campground, there is height restriction on the entrance and the parking lot is small, trucks and vans fit perfectly. A good place to stay overnight between Cuenca and Baños.

Nice, clean and hot showers. For women it's free, for men it costs 20 pesos. I wouldn't recommend spending the night here because it's very busy and loud but there is a PUMA/Petrobras fuel station 400m down the road which is much better for spending the night. We had a shower at AXION and slept at PUMA

Simple restaurant with Parrilla and other things like pizza, reasonable prices. It's right next to the AXION fuel station and the waiter was very nice.
We had the parrilla combo for two (520 pesos). The portion was very big but the meat was greasy. WIFI didn't work.

Beautiful campground with pit toilets, fire rings and nice really big spots, we were the only ones there. The road there was not icy and we had no issues going there with our 27ft RV. Nice historic site of the town nearby.
