there is wifi and it works well (2 day avg: 63ms, 1% loss, 14Mb/s). no kitchen but you can use hot water and some cutlery, perhaps also fridge but i didn't ask. breakfast included but very basic - coffee / tea, one bread roll, cheese or marmalade. parking. private bathroom, good shower. the best value for price i was able to find in this town and I've tried almost all places. 20k CLP for single room with double bed.

Really great place to stay! Very friendly! Awesome beach town, a lot of retirees. Short walk or bike ride to town. Very safe. We have a travel trailer so didn’t need to stay in a cabaña but they were really nice and clean. Bathrooms and shower were very very clean.
Only warning we have is take the ferry roads!!! My bf thought he’d be smarter then google maps and went the long way around, it said only 30 mins more, we weren’t sure if we could fit on the ferry, but turns out the roads hadn’t been ground up yet and it was miserable trying to drive over all the pot holes. We went 10 miles an hour and a 2 hour drive turned into a 4 hour drive. Turns out if you are as big or smaller then a school bus you can ride the ferry. Otherwise this place was ssoooo worth it!

Incredible place to stay. We loved it so much we stayed a whole week. Why?
- the sunsets, and the parking spot under the palm trees 🌴
- the hospitality of Melba and Jacques
- the little store they have (including ice creams and beers)
- the fast Internet
- the surf lessons Jacques recommended us
- the washing machine (one load S./ 6)
- the “menu del día” or breakfast ; freshly prepared food every day (S./ 15) if you are lazy to cook 😉.
- the clean toilets & hot showers
- much more!!

Some people found it a bit expensive, went to the other place on iOverlander, and came back because Swiss Wassi was so much better.

Very recommendable !!

3,500 for a quarter chicken and fries.
There was four of us and we got a whole chicken and the largest platter of fries and it was 9,500. Good chicken and the cheapest food we found in San Pedro.

Campsite was quite nice and with 200pp per night fair! (2persons/1tent)

Facilities were all opened and nice staff! The swimming pool is really nice and 2 out of 3 washing toilet buildings are good! A super market/ a restaurant is available! All over the property is a quite good WiFi connection!

20 minutes walk to two different beaches is possible!

Only road noise was a negative issue...

Friendly guesthouse with simple but nice bamboo huts overlooking the mekong. Interesting place with a home made bridge to the huts. They also have more luxury concrete bungalows with aircon in the garden, but they don't have the beautiful view.. Simple huts cost 300 baht and concrete bungalows 500 baht. They have a restaurant but we didn't try it because there is a very good and super friendly restaurant on the main road!

Large camping with some specific camper and big rig spaces (water, electric and dump stations at space). Some shade. Large communal kitchen with bbq area. Bathrooms with hot water. Very clean when we were there. WiFi, but that was a bit hot and miss fire me. R$45 pppn plus R$30 pn for rig if you connect for a/c, dump station etc., which we didn't. Right opposite beach and small food and drinks bar. It's about 500m before where it shows up on Google maps.

Very nice newly opened Hostel - probably the nicest hostel I've been to. Amazing place with great design and very friendly owner Omid - who's an architect which you clearly see in this place. Clean, restaurant/cafe included which is also visited by young locals. Washing for free. The place is like an oasis in the city with an amazing style, great balcony and terrace and very helpful and friendly staff. They have 2 dorms, beds are comfortable and covered with curtains.
They have no parking for cars but we parked in the alley which looks totally safe as it is a good area of the city.
breakfast included, about 6€ p.p. pet night.

Here we have been given a "license" to leave our Bus temporarily (two months) in Iran, and to pick it up later. So in the meantime we can fly to India and come back to Iran. We can park our bus anywhere, doesn’t need to be customs. We thought that this would not be possible because of the 'Carnet de Passage'. But here they just do it. Very kind and helpful people. They wrote a request letter on behalf of me, in Persian. dictated by the deputy general himself. After that it takes about one and a half hour to get everthing done: the entry borderpost (bazargan in our case) must agree. The chassis number was checked. everything is processed in the system. and they print the confirmation of this for you. all items were delivered in the bus! total time from start to finish: 2.5 hours. Cost: nothing! and there is a little shop on the premises, that maken delicious hamburgers. Best customs experience ever!!!

Surinam is defenitely not the place to ship from - as we had to find out. Customs in completely useless! They are cancelling every appointment and don"t give a sh.... if you are missing the cut off for the loading. Because of them we missed two ships and finnaly it took over three weeks until the car could be loaded in the container and finnally on a ship.It was a nightmare for our agent - which we could really recommend. Very professional agency for shipping the car. Juan Scheuerman ([email protected], Phone +597-427690 ext 447, Mob +597-8656098 ) handled the whole process! We shipped from Surinam to Veracruze, Mexico. Ships from Surinam leave every week. Costs for port, custom etc. see photo.
