This place is for locals, they will serve you last.. Took over half an hour just to have the menu... another 20 min to have our drinks and then two other tables of locals that arrived after us were served before ... another 30 hour to get our food... but there is a pool by the ocean!

(Fast) WIFI still the same. Toilets are o.k., not very clean (Women without running water on the tab). Toilets are closed for the night.
The place is perfect for one night, seems very quit.

Bought two meals, a pack of cigarettes and chocolates for 8$ and they let us camp. Bathrooms are clean and the owners were nice to us. The wifi works alright.

Well lit, and free WiFi if you park close to Coppel. Felt safe. No police patrolling but security at the Chedraui. The free Coppel wifi requires information (name, email, phone, etc) at first. Bathrooms inside the Chedraui (hours 7am-11pm). 3 of the 4 stalls in the women's were shut/out of order and no toilet paper. Better ones by the Cinepolis. A few movies in English at the Cinepolis which is around back. On Wednesdays tickets are $36p/pp!

you turn from the main road to a gravel road at forest, we stopped to cook something and there were no people around. Maybe it's also good place for wild camping because road goes into forest, we didn't check.

check point still here. we tried to pass it at night, hoping the guardian will be away are sleeping, but he was not. Told us we need a guide for security and other reasons, but he was not clear about the real reasons...

Washrooms and showers freshly renovated and good hot showers. Very clean. Price 8000 pp plus 7000 power and theoretically 7000 per tank full of water. Negotiable depending on the size of the tank. The other 2 campground in the vicinity are even more expensive and now ask 13000 and 15000 pp.

Nice camp in the campo of Genes !
He’s a fisherman and he’s the only one to live all year long at the cabo in front of the wreck.
He can tell you all the story of the island and more.
You can buy fresh fish with him even go with him to colect it !!
The camp is well protected from the wind, fire pits and wood.
Enjoy the place 😉

7000/person. The cheapest spots are run down, the little enclosed spots seem alright, their building what looks like "premium" camping at the front.
Location is good, down the hill by the beach is some food trucks, the one that sells coffee is great and the staff are super nice :)
I'd give this place 3/5:)

Perfect spot to spend the night. We asked the very friendly caretaker/nightwatchmen and he said no problem. Clean, even and paved ground (perfect if it is raining), some distance away from the road (not much traffic), windshelter. We had a safe and quiet night.

After 30km of good dry rippio from Angol on our way to the campsite (and Cañete tomorrow), we were stopped by the Conaf at the entrance of the park saying we could neither reach the campsite/trails nor Cañete with our 2wd campervan because of the rain of the past few days... So if it has rained, best to call about the road conditions before you head up...
PS, we took the norther road over El Manzano (advised by road signs) up and the southern road over El Rosario (advised by navigation) down to Angol. Both in good condition rippio. Would advise southern route.

KM 77...not 98. Perhaps restaurant at km98 does this as well? Really didn’t want to arrive in La Paz late. They said they usually visited by bikers who set up a tent. We ate dinner here and had a nice conversation with the woman during and after. They close their doors around 5-5:30 because it’s not safe. They let us sleep in the gate behind an open garage. Can take a short hike up the hill behind them or across the road to see sunset.

Truck traffic noise was pretty bad as they downshift going down the nearby hill...

As described. We took a room, which is 45 soles for a matrimonial now. Clean, comfortable and spacious room, no hot water when we tried. WiFi average. Night was not so quiet due to dogs barking, literally all night.
Food was good. Dinner à la carte, ranging from 10-20 soles (for the vegetarians they have a salad with rice and beans).
Breakfast was really good: we had coffee, fresh juices and sandwiches with cheese and tortilla. Paid 20 soles for 2 people.

A small shop, AV. Montt 1229. They converted a gas cable to an European output, so we can now fit Chilean gas bottle into our European van. Cheap, nice, fast, they do any kind of metal part, just come with the original piece. It is full of locals all day long which is a good sign.

Leaving from Peru going to Equador. Once more time we had some problems because the officers don’t no how to permite two vehicules (we have a moto inside the RV) by only one person. But before too much discussion they found a solucion, like happenned In some others borders. They didn’t check Nothing inside our RV. No insurance needed in Equador. To people from Brasil they check the certificate from “Yellow fever”.

Agreed, all very quick and easy.

Just one tip... the ladies toilets on the Namibia side are among the worst/dirtiest I have seen in 12 months of travel around Africa! Wait until you get to the SA side, much more pleasant!

Lovely little site, as already described.
We arrived at 6pm and the gate was closed, so the only way to get in was to call (might be tricky if you don't have access to a phone or SIM).

Wonderful camp but such a shame it's so close to the road - no good if you want a lie in! Noisy road really starts up from 5am, and on-site farm workers from 6am.
Wifi was fast and free. Camping price ZAR135 pppn.

Was not able to get cash with Revolut (either VISA or MasterCard). Fortunately was able to pay by card in la anonima supermarket (they do not process cash advances for other cards than theirs) and at the gas station.

This place is a large, sandy lot on the edge of town. An old side walk runs along a sea wall. When the tide goes out, the bottom is muddy, but it's pretty when the tide is in. There are street lights, but they did not come on at night, so it was nice and dark. The waterfront has spigots for water. The second last one works, so we did our dishes and some laundry, and also washed our hair. Several locals walked along the waterfront, and some of the youth were ripping around on their dirt bikes, but everyone waves and no one bothered us. One gentleman with his cute little boy approached us in the morning offering us a ride...perhaps on a boat, or perhaps he thought we needed help, but we couldn't understand him and were packing up to move on anyway. We recommend parking away from the greenery at the end of the lot, it's quite biggy over there, but if you park closer to town it was a little better. Over all, a really nice, quiet and dark night!

The hotel is part of a gated compound of private house. The hotel has no campground and this time of the year, also no restaurant. If you want to enter and park at the beach front, you have to pay 3S.

The walled-in space is shared between Don Victor and Cruz del Sur, an omnibus company. The facilities are strictly separate, although it's all open ground. Use the gate with the COCHERA sign, in the side street parallel to the main road. 10 Soles per night per motorhome (7m).
