Crossed from MX to US as a citizen of neither. Bit of a weird system, paid the toll (28mx) then had to drive down the bridge and turn around to go get exit stamps at the offices. Not very well organised but it worked. For non US/MEX crossing is not 24hrs. We had to wait until 6am for the offices to open. Parked in town. Safe and quiet.

As a former client dorm for 40 soles (breakfast included) with very bread .. the best of all my Panamerican Roadtrip so far .

Great place to eat and you can camp in front of Coco’s right on the beach under the palms/trees. They have bathroom facilities for $1 USD. Good beach break surf spot.

originally parked there but we were unlicky as 3 guys in a taxi stayed until midnight to drink with super loud music. They left and came back thrice to get more booze and each time driving nearer our van swerving last minute. The local police came and spoke to them but they stayed and nothing happened. We moved 100 meters away from the parking lot under trees towards Jaguard Escudero and spent a good night. I think it is usually safe to stay here. We paid 850 for the lancha to the ruins for 2 adults and 2 kids, absolutely worth it!

Campground with few shade. Very clean ablutions cold shower. Acacia Bar may be used as a shelter for about 6 persons if it rains.

Big quad room fit all 10 of us nicely. Nice place. He gave us a deal on the room, he told us 1500 pesos. Ended up charging us 1100, without haggling. Yes probably the least expensive place in these parts, they wanted 1200 pesos just to camp down the street, and that was cutting us a deal. Quiet and clean.

It is a truckstop (autocamping) a little bit off the main road. Overnight parking 120 RUB, shower 120 RUB, drinking water free. They also have a laundry, we paid 400 RUB for a really big pack.

Eco camping with platforms for tents, good WiFi, and nice comedor inside for cooking. 5000pp.

Parking at the fort is 20 rupees. There's the main parking as you drive through the gate though you can follow it around the outside of the wall to a flat area. We visited the fort in the afternoon and then hung around to see if we were allowed to camp here. At first the security guards didn't want us to stay though we explained that we were just staying overnight and they were ok. Very quiet here at night and a great view of the fort.

Tiny rooms with bathroom 150birr. Clean, no hot water, electricity only at night. Friendly staff. Restaurant downstairs with good prices (draft beer 15birr). We were able to park bikes in a spare room and there if a rooftop or balcony you can cook on if you wish

Place is beautiful, but not recommendable. In March the lake is almost dried out and barely visible. At the entrance there is a sign stating to leave between 8 pm and 6 am. Also the road is super terrible to get there and the locals are so so. Some seemed to dislike us being there. And they want to prosecute you according to the „village rules“. Come on...

We drove further on the beach and found paradise. Quiet, no visitors in the morning only shade from the trees.

At the moment the rate is 100bir=180sudanes. This is the real rate for locals. Push to get it.

Nice Restaurant with possibility to camp overnight. Clean toilet, good internet, no shower.

Nice little gem with good coffee, good tasty food and CLEAN bathrooms. Also provides excursions and tourist info. Nice people! Close to the camping area, we enjoyed breakfast there and fresh fruit juices.

Beautiful park! Stayed two nights but were asked to leave this morning. We were told by the police that there is no overnight parking. That there was a curfew. When we arrived we asked a park employee about overnighting an he said it was fine. So I guess you would be taking a chance but we surely enjoyed it.

Super friendly people. Bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended stop before crossing into El Salvador in the am.

I got my visa in maybe 20 mins. I was asked 30.000cfa for single entry, 60.000 for double entry, both valid for a month. I also had to submit two photos and a photocopy of passport and vaccination card.

This hotel offers very clean rooms and also a place for overnight parking for big overlander trucks at 100birr/pppn (they give the key for hot shower and toilet). Camping in tent is also possible. The site is 200m from the main hotels of Lalibella so it is much more silent than most of the places. Rooms have views to the mountains with terrace and European toilet with hot shower. Single: 580birr, double: 780birr and Twin: 870. There is also restaurant with long menu.

Today I asked the price for leave the van 15 days.
100 dolars entrance plus $17 for driving, plus $10 per day.
Uau. I run away.

There are only 2 formal RV parks between Guatemala and Panama and this is one of them ... very nicely groomed and secure , great place to leave your rig and tour other places , this is my second time here , gates closed at night and closed Monday and Tuesday , if you are there before they will let you stay ... only two down sides , it’s close to the hwy so there is some noise and it’s very expensive for Guatemala at $20 pp ... in my opinion it is worth it

Nice place to spend a night.
There is a flat space juste at the light on the top right of the parking.
Many people during the day so it can be hard to park but no one after 10pm.
