In direction of East End Park. No service but many blue trash barrils. Sandy parking lot along the gulf. Some people pitch their tents late at night. Enough place for big rigs. Free camping.

A nice and safe place to camp. We are cyclists and the bomberos let us pitch our tent in the grassy backyard. We could use their toilet and shower and got some drinking water.
When we met the comandante the next morning, he told us that they are actually thinking of building a shower and sink for the bicycle tourists and overlanders, so that they wouldn't have to cross the bomberos' dormitory to use theirs :)

Good overnight spot close to road. There are some houses nearby but no one cared. Road noise is almost not there. It’s grassy but with stones so not perfect for tents. Can fit big rigs.

Slow to make the insurance. Lack of people to work. They look unhappy and are not so gentle.
Pacience is needed.
Finaly after waiting 30 min we made it for U$ 25,00. Is the nearest place in Colon.

Nice place but lockated in a not so save neighborhood.
Big rooms with slooooow Wifi, hot showers, TV and AC. Wery good Queen Size beds.
Best price of all we looked.
Better make your reservations before through Booking.com
Has a nice restaurant with complete Menu for U$ 5,00. Beer at the bar for U$ 1,25.
We used it when we came to pickup our car that we shipped ftom Cartagena here to Colon.
Beware that almost any keys can open any door rooms. We where in the room and a suspect man suddenly came in and when he saw us he asked if we wanted towels. Do not leave money or every other valued stuff alone in your room.

We spent two free nights here, they probably charge only from friday / week end! We always felt safe and even slept with open back doors because of the warm temperature. There is a faucet at the enter and a shower you can use only when workers have gone that is placed at the end of the parking (where they work during day)

Really beautiful site! They give you a very informative tour showing also the breeding processes and are very knowledgeable! 20k cop pp. the house alone is impressive and the property is quite big. The road is a bit bumpy on the last 200m but doable with any vehicle. But very big rigs might have problems as it has some narrow passages. they have a website www.andoke.com.co - I do not think that you need to make a reservation. We went on a Tuesday, no one else around. Not too many parking possibilities. Recommended

Very calm spot. We were on a week day.
But we found the bathrooms were too far from the camping area, also the electric plugs were the flat, 3-holes ones, not the usual american round double holes (get prepared for that if you need electricity).
Paid 500 pesos for 2 persons and a car.

It's actually called "Club del Banco de la Nacion" and many people come here during the day to jog, play tennis, play soccer etc.

The campground is off to the side, and has it all: shade, space, BBQ, running water, electricity, WiFi (if you're close enough).

Very friendly staff. Shops within walking distance. We came in for one night, stayed three.

Paid 250 per night for two people in a rooftent.

Don't expect a proper hostel with a sign on the wall and a reception, this is more like an old couple's home and they rent rooms and allow camping. The woman (Aunty) runs the show and she's really nice and helpful, always happy to answer any questions, her husband is also pleasant. We stayed in the dorm, 5 bed room all to ourselves for the whole stay, it was low season and we got a discount and payed 15USD per night (2 ppl). The room was very clean and big, with fan and fridge although very hot, but lots of shady common space outside. In think it's a great deal considering the accommodation prices in Accra. We were even offered to print the documents we needed using their pc and printer for free and the last 2 night there were power cuts and it was too hot to sleep without the fan and they offered us to sleep in a private room that was way cooler. Taxis just around the corner, 30C to the centre one way.

really nice, new campsite. lots of space. Camping is 20.000 ppn. bodaboda tours to the lakes and boat tour is also possible. Acess road is steep and better with 4x4. The Manager Brian is really nice. This place is a recommandation of Janusz (Ayapapa) Lodge, because he doesnt have many places for vehicles with the rrt. on the small Junction keep right down the Lake.

Arrived while still light out. Parked beside picnic table, which is in full view of apartments where sheriff truck is. Even though in slightly wooded area, everything can be seen from inside and outside the area pretty much 360 degrees (will try to include photos). Loud because near Hwy. Woke up in morning to other vehicles, truck and vespa, in area, and locals walking their dogs. Besides Hwy noise, decent place.
