Stayed here one night. Quiet morning, a little noisy at night.
There’s a no overnight parking sign but employee said it’s fine just don’t stay more than 24 hours.

Great place to park your vehicle and wander about Los Angeles. For $3.00 you get 24hrs if fairly secure parking for the night. The price point is perfect for my budget and there is a Ralph’s, Starbucks and a Jamba Juice all within walking distance. With Universal Studios and and shopping right close you’ll have yourself one heck of an adventure.

Nice hike, we took about 5 hours (up and down) at a leisurely pace with plenty of stops. Locals and guides know this viewpoint as Inatye. Track is easy to follow, it will get very slippery when wet.

Decent place with a small restaurant - also open in off season, beer is 40 birr - the views and dayhikes are good from here. But we had to park the car pretty close to the road so we prefer Sankabar for camping.

Also, the scout wasn’t allowed to sleep in the hut/kitchen so had to lay in a bush next to the car.

Nice, strenuous day hike from Chenek. Roughly 750m gain in altitude on a 5km trek. Ras Bwahit is the second highest mountain in Ethiopia at 4.427m. Great views!

We took 6 hours (including 2 ibex-watch detours), 4h up, 2h down. If you’re better equipt to the altitude it’ll probably take less time to ascend.

To go up we took the dotted route on maps.me north of the road, to go down we took the shortcuts between the switchbacks.

It’s really the only place you can camp in Namibe. We were charged 2000 pp and had to ask for the toilets and showers to be cleaned. Nice beach and bar! Power at sites. We stopped at the fish market on the way here and had an beautiful and inexpensive braai!

Resort on top of the hills. Road is steep but they plan to tar the road. 4x4 will make it easier to climb up. But the locals go with the small cars.

The campsite is not built yet.

Camped next to one of the chalets, and they gave the key to use the bathroom.

Nice view, beautiful sunset spot.

Swimmingpool.

Nice place but we probably got there in the wrong moment. As we arrive late at night no one was there but the were info that you could enter and find a place, so we did. At that camping space there were more information regarding the place, one of them being keep the kitchen clean which we didn’t find that way nonetheless we clean so we could cook, next morning a lady called Carmen showed up, but didn’t explain really much about the place then left so we kind of learn ourselves were the exterior lighting is figured out how the internet works which didn’t work that day, the lady mention is because the whether, then as we urgently needed internet to upload our blog we mentioned that we couldn’t stay, then we paid one night but the person said that we had two paid two nights as we stayed all day, then we went to explain that in most places the camping charged is for 24hrs, well despite that the place is perfect: great kitchen, drinkable water, clean toilets nice view, we felt that the lady was not the most charming one even though we speak spanish , fortunately we got to talk via WhatsApp with Abby which was at the states at the moment we explain the situation and she was the nicest and apologizing on her behalf, so we are sure if she is around the experience will be nice.

We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful hostel in the jungle. This is also a coffee plantation with lot of land, trails, tropical forest. Oliver and Geraldine are amazing students in business, very welcomed, friendly and super helpful. There is space for tents, dorms, private room and hammocks. Prepare yourself to eat lot of mangos and avocados 😉
From there you can walk to cerro Kennedy, take different trails around Minca to discover coffee plantation, falls and different viewpoint. We really enjoyed this quiet and peaceful place.

Lots of options around the I-80 exit for Happy Jack Road and right before it in Vedauwoo. This spot really only has 2-3 spots for vehicles and then a ton of tent camping options off on the non-motorized vehicle trails. Gorgeous views over Laramie, the Snowy Range, and on very clear days to the Rockies. Spot is exposed and Wyoming is windy so wind gusts can be intense. Excellent Verizon 4G and workable AT&T LTE service. Only about 20 minutes into town. People come out here to hunt so gun shots can be heard occasionally.

We enjoyed our time here! Parked in a spacious area (a lot of mini-buses park here at night) and had access to all amenities (toilet, shower, strong WiFi, hammocks). We paid $5USD for 2 people per night. Very close to the museum and a short drive to the Mozote. Found tasty food nearby as well. Would recommend!

It is a green spot higher than the road. You can put up your tent. There are not a lot of lights. It is perfect if you spend one night planning to hitchhike on the following day. More as a transition spot than to stay for a longer time. (Last minute kind of saving spot)

Nice spot beside a creek just off the Robert Campbell Hwy a bit north of Ross River junction. We found this free spot when we didn't want to pay to camp at a nearby campground. Easy access for a camper but probably not suitable for a trailer. We went right down beside the creek as we have 4WD but an easier upper parking spot would work if you don't. Far enough off the road to not hear any traffic, though traffic is minimal on this road as it is. Saw no wildlife but we're sure it's around.

Turn off the highway at 380km marker.

You'll see a pink building and just behind it there are rooms. Very basic guest house but nice, they can prepare food on the fire. Electricity from 5 pm to midnight. Good stop, nice market and very friendly people. Also a good way to help recover after the Idai cyclone. Room with private bathroom 700 M.

Very nice and friendly place, double room with mosquito net at 400 M. Shared bathroom, it's a bucket shower, hot water provided. There is a bar and they can prepare food for you, we had spaghetti and chicken. They are also a car wash. Light is provided through solar panel, electricity is not available now because of the Idai cyclone. Pool table.
