pretty simple hotel (kind of a motel), but good enough, a bit rundown. 22$, with aircon, bathroom, fridge and TV.
Parked my bike right in front of the room, gate will be closed during the night.
Some ants in the room, but at least no mosquitoes...

Lots of parking space at the back of the store. Confirmed with customer service that overnights are allowed. Great spot to spend the night. Very safe. Clean restrooms with water filler inside.

Have been able to put my tent up a bit further, in the field next to the power station. In between the bushes, it’s not too wet and it’s possible to stay out of sight.

Spent 3 nights here. 10 bols per night. Toilets, pool, nice spots to camp in the middle of the yunga, very calm nights, kitchen. Francisca, the woman who receive people there is very lovely. Nice location as well

We couldn't get our Visa here since the consul is in holidays for 2 weeks. They told us to wait (!) or go to Bishkek or Astana.

Car Insurance company Rapaht(pronounced: garant). They sell third party car insurance, which is since 2018 mandatory in Kyrgyzstan.

510 som (6€) for one month for our Land cruiser. Make sure they note down all persons who drive the car in the document so you are all insured when you drive. Very quick service, done in 10 minutes and they speak English!

Warm welcome by Saro who talks English. We parked in his yard. You pay what you want. Saro is historian and tells a lot about his country. Perfect place to visit the area. We spent 3 nights here. To find it, pass the old hospital. It will be on ur right. Drive down a bit and turn left untill you see a large grey gate. There is a door in it. Very peacefull to sleep. One can use shower and toilet. Dog was welcome too.

95kwa pppn camping in big rig with electric hook up. friendly, clean, great pool, near big shoprite.
The other Jollyboys across town is much busier, but tree branches might be to low for big trucks.

quite road used during road construction but now no cars on it. gravel pit at one of road. Easy on off. A few locals went by on foot or scooter. great spot with trees surrounding but no shade. Decent 4g data with local simm. Room for many vehicles. you xan occasionally hear trucks yet this is a quite spot.

Good location to arrive in the evening, after a long drive from Kolkata, and stay overnight. Confirmed, rangers will send you out. Ok to stay day time but not nighttime.

For 2nd nighttime we drove up the hill to the actual Tiger Hill observatory and stayed the night there. Then just walk for the sunrise.

In this location there’s lots of sewer pipes all over, but it’s possible to stay by the road. Or even drive to the higher ground with 4x4 or smaller rig. There’s small road on the left, before you reach this GPS location.
I gave our Sprinter van 50% chances of making this tiny road uphill, decided to pass and stayed by the road. Photos below.

Small workshop, owned by two brothers. No English spoken and they don't have all parts in stock, but they were able to help me temporarily fix my suspension and ABS line/wire so I could get to Kutaisi and get it replaced there. Charged me 50 GEL.

Couldn't find the place. We followed the coordinates. Found them exactly on a narrow mud track. No place to park without blocking the track. We parked 100 metres from the tenniscourt on P1 with a bit of green and view. 10.01566 49.72532. 700 metres south-east (as the crow flies) from this point.

scenic road along national park with good chance to see elephants when driving in dusk. we saw two between 8:00-9:30. at this specific spot wild camping 20m off the road. virtually no traffic at night.

Lots of small tire shops here that can repair your tire. They also have a machine to remove the tire from the rim. Most shops just hammer your tire out of the rim.

We paid 50 bir for replacing our valve.

The price has miraculously changed to 10 USD pppn. With a vehicle you can’t get onto the grass. We decided to go to the Steptown motel where we were welcomed like old friends.

Nice camping place 11km from Helmeringhausen. A bit different among the rocks. Interesting showers with hot water available. Very nice couple running the place.
