Nice place, just of the sand path. Flat area to park, view on mount Athos. There is space for 2 or 3 cars/ tents. You will need a 4x4 to get here. The path is not used very often (overhanging branches) Nice and quiet place, with lots of birds singing. We stayed one night with a defender and rooftoptent. 4G T-Mobile was working. Possible to take a shower at the beach Salonikiou (10 min by car) Enjoy!!

Please take back your own garbage, and if possible pick up any trash you might find around. It was very clean when we came around. Keep it that way!

Very friendly people run this small restaurant with outdoor seating. They serve local dishes for reasonable prices which is really tasty!

Very nice block to parck and sleep at night. Was a little noisy up to 10 pm but then its okey and feel safe.

This is where you hop on the ferry from Lwozi to Kimbemba.

22,500 Congolese francs for medium size vehicle

Ferry times vary - I’d come and wait in line. We couldn’t fit on the next departing ferry so had to wait an additional hour for the next one.

Nice place to rest up after the Londela-Kaye border crossing!!! They let us camp for free with use of a cold water shower and toilet that has a toilet seat and toilet paper. We donated 5,000 Congolese Francs for letting us stay.

A lovely wildcamp spot, just off a quiet side road. Similar to the other “wild camp with nice view” just down the road, but we preferred this one as it’s flatter and has a better viewing area (I.e. less long grass in one spot so you can see the hills and sunset clearly). Only a couple of passerbys by foot - they didn’t stop or disturb us at all. Highly recommended for one night.

Basic hotel. Feels like it was maybe a love hotel at some point. Small but functioning rooms. Private bathroom. Hot water. Includes basic breakfast. 90 $R if you book on booking.com or 100 $R if you just turn up. Portuguese only spoken. Friendly staff. Close to centre but on quiet street so no real traffic noise. Opposite mosque.
Lots of people walking around in the evening, felt quite safe. Many food options close and supermarket in main square. A cheapish option compared to most others. A little cold on a cold June evening as no heating and our room had slight draft through window. Appears no air con either. ? fan available in summer.
Secure parking although height limit so only cars and 4x4s without roof top tent will likely fit. Kitchen with water filter, sink and microwave however no cooker etc so basics only.

Super friendly and nice woman with really tasty empanadas and other food. Super recommended. Very cheap.

A small alley, the guys at the restaurant la Esquina were happy with us staying and invited us in for dinner.
low branches and road not too big so not suitable for big rigs, better for vans

You Can stay parked for a long Time.

There is no facility at all, you will be closed to the River and 5 to 7 minutes to 2 subways station.

You have shadow under trees so you won't suffer from heat! Enjoy your stay.

Maabwe Bay is a fantastic, beautiful and peaceful place on the Lake Kariba.
Margot and Richard are excellent hosts.
It is worth to visit this little Paradise.

A bit of a rough road for 100m to get to the beach road but I managed just fine with my 32' RV.

It is a big parking made especialy for campeurs, dump station and water. Free.

Big dishes, good price for Villa Angostura. 330 arg for a trucha with salad... 330 a personal parrilla with fries... 100 a 1 litter quilmes. They gave a nest with a lot of bread , be careful! Wait for the main dishes jajaja We ate everything and we finish like balls rolling on the street jajajaj very tasty, a lot of locals (they always know Where to go!)

Secured carpark close to center. Well lit, but couldnot see cameras. It is a place for people to park, when they go out at night. 1€/hour,or 10€ for the night.
Not a bargain, but seems well organiced and very central.

Narrow road to reach it! Be careful with big rigs! Depends on parking cars in the streets.

You can also spend the night here. There are cabins and a treehouse. A cabin (basic, own bathroom and patio) for 2 people costs 460 bol and includes breakfast and a tour. The bear-tour costs 30 bol pp extra. All the profit goes to the animals. Very special place.

Love this place! Nice family runs the place- we had it all to ourselves on a Tuesday evening! Very relaxing and pretty well maintained, definitely recommend stopping for the night!

Quiet walmart. Closes at 10pm, but Tim Hortons next door is open 24/7.

Large, grassy place. 2way and 3way service. 2way: CAD 40,25 inkl tax. Nice lawns, little playground.
