Nice forested campground within walking distance of the village with a shuttle bus up to lake Louise and Maraine Lake ($6). The showers are warm and the toilets are clean. The whole.campsite is surrounded by an electric fence to keep out bear. Lots of cute little gophers around.

As described. We arrived about 8:30 on a Tuesday eve. Still two slots available and the tent site lot was empty. Seems everyone was already in for the night.

As stated - super easy to access with a number of pullouts in the first mile of the road. Nice and quiet. The coyotes must be pretty close to this pin as you can easily hear the pups yapping. No ATT reception.

Impossible for big rigs to get in here. Quite a walk into town.

We traveling by bicycle and took this border from the Guinea side to SL. In Koundou we got the exit stamp with some problems. The border river you have to cross with a small boat (motorcycle also possible).
The entry stamp we got in Koidu in the immigration office.

We crossed the border at Kirigbèma and got the entry stamp on this place.

nice to chill, swim and rest for a day. water is clean and there is shade.
locals can be annoying playing loud and horrible music.
about 5km of bumpy potholes to get there. no problem with 2wd. paid 10000 per person.

Quiet place behind birch trees 1km from main road. Good for all vehicles but no infrastructure. Flat gravel ground.

Nice place to wildcamp in the bush! The small fence is broken down on this road stretch (we entered more or less opposite from Klipkop Farm) and you‘ll find plenty of space to go in deeper until the new higher fence begins. We camped right in front of it. Warthog and impala will make some noise at night and you‘ll still hear the road but no person will pass by and there‘s a lot of wood to make a fire. Take care with the thorns though, when you push in the bike and pitch the tent!

Large fairly flat parking area just before the gate to the military base. The guards wanted us to park near their hut (for increased security we presume). Cell tower nearby so great 4G reception.

Airtel shop for local simcard Jammu & Kashmir as Indian simcards don’t work in this state. Bring passport and visa. 360 INR for 28 days (1,5 GB per day). Should be active after 30 minutes... However it took 3 days to activate and then the internet package was not activated. We needed to go back to the shop to activate it. Not sure if they tried to trick us or they made a mistake...

Fairly large Subaru specialist garage. We went in looking for an air-conditioning re-gas. They didn’t really speak English but it was quite easy to communicate with them. They quoted us 15,000T for a full re-gas using DuPont 134a gas. When they realised we only needed a small amount of gas, the price came down to 2000T and when we posed for a photo with them in front of the car, the money was waived. We were in a 2002 Land Rover Discovery with standard air-con valves.

Very nice fishing village, we thought about camping at the ferry on the Rio, but the police advice us to be secured in the village. Very quiet.

Nice hotel runned by a friendly family with a garden to hang out. We stayed in the car and paid 200 INR. We could use the toilet and a hot shower (100 INR if you are not using toilet&shower). It takes a 15 min walk to reach the main bazaar (passing a lot of restaurants, shops and tour agencies). They were very helpfull and arranged al the permits we needed for the Ladakh region.

Boat for Limassol for a 150cc VESPA is 300€ + 300shakel. They don't take passenger anymore since 2 years.
Miss Galina is very helpful.
You can leave your motorbike to them.

Ps to go to Cyprus I suggest to go by sailing boat from Haifa Marine or Hertzeliya (only during summer).

Very very very good humus. The restaurant is bit in a hidden corner, but it worths a visit, maybe while are waiting for papers to ship your car ;-)

Very busy with nice weather. Everybody in holiday mood.
Don't get to close to the water, you will h get stuck (like us and 5 others in 20 hour).
If needed, there is a tractor hanging around(shops near the Bridge) to get you out, cost 600.000,-

Dont buy Sim card here. Go down the road to MVS store.

I bought a 10 day, 5G sim for 6000 dirhams here. Turns out to be very expensive and not good.
They dont speak English and have people on the street hussling to get clients. That should speak for itself.
Later I found out that a better package down the road at MVS is 2800 dirhams

Beware they overcharge. They sold me 5g for 6000 dirhams. Further Down the road at MTS they have a much better package, also 5g for 2800 dirhams and a very professional outfit. Strongly recommend using the MTS shop.

a full view of 7 bulls right from the window. friendly and helpful owner who speaks fairly good English.
Downside is common toilet with hotb shower. spacious parking and Good Wi-Fi.
