Stayed at campground - as described and still $20 for camping with no hookups. Decent deal considering it includes showers and is a pretty remote location. Very cool bar - old photos around the room tell the story of the ‘Mad Trapper from Rat River’ and how he met his ultimate demise.

A smaller area than #1. Some tree coverage, good for NE winds.

Road is still closed. The military will make you take the detour by the East. Not sure why though

Although the campsite is extremely basic, the location is perfect. The bus into Montevideo stops outside, the supermarket is a short walk and the beach is mint. Christian’s hospitality is wonderful. We used his ok WiFi and electricity but used our own shower and toilet. Christian even did our laundry for 100 pesos for a 5kg load. No drier but washing line with pegs behind the house. For the price and location, it’s hard to beat.

Great location, right on the beach (though you are within a fenced area). Hot shower, no wifi but really pleasant owner. We were there off-season and by ourselves. 15,000 Clp.

This place is good, not sure what maiantance is needed, but after being in Angola where campsite basically don’t exist this is great. Warm clean showers, power, light sink and braai at each pitch. Plus a little grass to sit on. Nice pool and great gym! Free WiFi 140N$ pppn

Beautiful home, beautiful location, beautiful family! Situated on a rushing stream with gorgeous views and beautiful outdoor lounge space. 25,000cop/person for a room. Covered parking for a few motos + a long driveway for a few cars. They also make delicious breakfasts for 10,000cop. Hernan provides an amazing tour, 80,000cop. 2+ hours of horseback riding through gorgeous landscape to see an enormous waterfall, lunch, tour of his panela farm/manufacturing shed, coffee. Highly recommend staying here!

Great views and great fun with a motorcycle. Hardly any other cars on the road with us. We originally planned to take the more straight road just to the east of this one; but as far as we could tell it does not exist. There was absolutely no fork in the road where google maps said there would be.

Stayed 4 nights here in our car. Had an amazing view. The owner are very friendly and Jairo was very helpful in any issue.
Were allowed to use the bathroom, the kayaks and his moto (everything for 30.000 COP)

Bob’s Welding has a laundromat, shower, and pressure washer!

3 washers and 3 dryers. Coin operated. $5 CAD for wash, $5 CAD for dry. In the blue building downstairs from office. Nice people. There is a change machine outside in the pressure washer area.

We stopped here for dinner and checked it out. Decent spot with room for several vehicles. Lake is pretty large. There was a steam roller parked there for road work, but it looked like a decent place for a safe night of sleep.

OK little gravel pit. Nice fire ring and pretty level. Reasonable far from the road. It was a safe place for the night but it can get pretty windy.

Gravel park near an old sport complexe in the mountains... In the middle of rice fields.
A water tap is available near the old sports space.

Great spot, the view is amazing and you won't hear any traffic. Perfect for acclimation!

We stayed at the upper sand flat (couldn’t accurately locate the gps coordinates for the pullout) but it’s under the same name, just almost at the top of the hill.
At the upper sand flat, there is a large flat concrete area to park, along with a turnout. The road is fairly peaceful.
The best part is the killer view of mount shasta!! And verizon service.
The lower sand flats area is down the mountain in the trees. Looked very nice but I prefer the upper with the views.

Campgroud is small and private, lots of trees and gras, toilets are not clean at all but are still okay for one night. Really close to the provincal Park!

Reasonably cheap hotel, the only one in town. Its the colourful building with a bar out front. Reasonably clean, bucket shower available. I paid 15,000 shillings after haggling but later found out that locals pay 10,000. Loud music is played at the bar until at least 10pm when I fell asleep, not ideal if that will keep you awake.

When We came up here the weather was very bad and it was already dark. You could not see the mountains or down to Stepantsminda. We stayed at the parking area of Gergeti Trinity for one night. There were a lot of other people coming and ging the whole night. Very loud.

Beautiful place! A great place for climbing. Llamas everywhere and the people are very nice. Ask for permission to camp or stay at the shelter.

Overnight parking in an old gravel pit along Nass River Road to Gingolx. Close to the road but quiet and clean.

Filled my Gaslow tanks. Can fill any bottle.

Has small disposable tanks also several kinds of small refillable tanks for sale. Very efficient. Facilities very modern.

Nice spot under the road by the lake! Fire rings! :) Quiet at night!

Campground with a good price for Cyclists and Motorcyclists (120SEK per night, prices for 2019) if you just pitch your tent.
Shower is 5SEK/5min.

Next to the road, decent droptoilet and grass with trees. Maybe suitable for cyclists.
