These guys helped us out very well and quick. They have multiple specialties available. Just make a call to this number, they don’t speak English but there’s almost always a son/daughter there who can translate: 0413_6373499 and 0413_6373498

Well organised Museum. You can spend hours doing the underground tour, walking around the big open air mine, visiting the museum on the main building, having a snack at the restaurant...
Bring warm clothes and rugged shoes...

we didnt ask for price beforehand since we got told you pay less than 150.000 Rial for a car wash anywhere in Iran. Usually we pay a bit more and give 2-300 for a very dirty landcruiser.
here the guy in the office asked for 800.000 after the car wash! We denied and they got angry, finally got to 500, payed and left. then the two guys cleaning the car asked us to also pay them some money, not only to the office. really unfriendly and annoying! don't go there.

very nice at night, lots of good places to set up a camp, no shade though except for inside the many yurts around. They also have cold beer, but forgot to mention that prices are in dollar not manat so we ended up paying really much money for our beers. 5$ per bottle, no chance of nogatiating since there is a "big boss" who sets the price. The guy from the yurt seemed really sorry for the misunderstanding though and told us we could come back for dinner, free of charge.

Parada ao lado do restaurante, sem luz nem água. Somente para dormir e seguir em frente. Restaurante desativado, apenas lanchonete e bar.

Very close to the top of the pass is a shelter to stay for the night. It’s rubbishy inside but we arrived in the rain in the dark so it was very welcoming. We laid down our tent on the floor and put our beds on top of it to keep them clean.
Be warned: when it rains a lot water can run into the shelter. We found our self barricade the entrance in the middle of the night.

Whenever you come from a low point (Pacific, Copiapó) to go to Laguna Rosa, Laguna San Francisco or Paso San Francisco, and want to stay over night, this is the last chance to avoid hight sickness. You are here at 2860m above sea level. The next places are 3500 - 4200m. Symptoms of hight sickness: dumb feeling in head, headake, vomiting. The later two mean for you to go back down immediately.
The place here is comfortable, big, flat, slight wind protection beside the road, but no trafic.

Nice stop over. Easy to find (right off the main street, which is also highway 2). On our way to San Carlos. Nice hosts. Family operated. I had a problem with my trailer and needed a part. Edgar drove me to the local Auto Zone to try and find it. Noisy at night (the busses and trucks going down the street). A pleasant/convenient stay.

Nice little spot for a stopover. Didn’t trust the power point. No shade so good for solar. Right next to ball park and community center.

well organised site with a small shop and restaurant open for breakfast and dinner (8-10pm). has some cabins and pods, several hook ups, it may be difficult for very large motor homes to make it up the steep and narrow canon roads. has the most amazing miradors. clean toilets and showers, quiet off season. highly recommended

Left the coast heading back to the desert, Saboba Casino has become one of my favorite stops off the I-10 corridor and just down the SR-79. They have a late night cafe serving great meals and a safe place to park for the night.

New camp, clean, super ablutions with solar power (but power points to recharge electronic devices). Has a lovely Lodge, well disigbed cottages and a swimming pool. Friendly, efficient team. Adjacent to the Nhkotakota Wildlife Reserve with walks along the river

We paid 1000mt for 2 people for camping and other people who stayed here 2 days before paid 600mt for 2 people. No mention of a breakfast. Most expensive we paid in Mozambique so far and for very little. Unfortunately it is the only camping around in the area. We did not use electricity but i did see a plug point. Had a peaceful night. They switch the water on for a shower in the evening or you can have a bucket wash. The people were friendly enough.

We checked both places in town but could not resist the possibility of having a room with balcony overlooking the river and the ancient bridge. Loved the sound of the river at night. Breakfast not included but she made it for us. We ordered eggs with bread and coffee. Perfect.
To reach the hotel you follow the railroad tracks. Awesome. Space to store your bicycles.
Other place looks also good and clean. Bit cheaper but this one has more atmosphere!!!

BOILING HOT SHOWERS! Awesome motorcycle parking, clean room and hot breakfast to boot. Staff super sweat extremely accomadating and helpful. Outside looks sketchy and hoodish but don't let that sway you. Great internet. Clean room and every floor. I negotiated in person $40K for single. Don't do booking.com if ya want the discount.

We spent a quiet night here next to Howler monkeys, white faced capuchin monkeys and many colored birds. There is a portable toilet open but no water so BYO. Someone who works here came in the morning said we weren't supposed to sleep here although the people from the NAN who let us through the checkpoint 10km ahead on the road to here told us we could stay at the muelle but the path there wasn't as good as the road to the fort from where you can get a tiny bit of signal/ internet (Claro & digicel) so we parked in front of the fort. There is plenty of space and gravel for kids to fool around
