We drove this road today. Nothing happened here. Safe travels

Dump station on outside curve. Plenty of room to manuever but since it's on a curve, hard to get too close. Nice to have dump, fuel, propane and groceries all in 1 stop.

Ok! So we went there by bicycles and it's doable in one day! We left from Caraz at 5 am. Were near laguna at 12. Left 13:45 and were back in Caraz at 17. So be sure to leave early because up there it is wonderful!

Forget the Laguna 69 and go there because it's better and just for 5S! Dirt is not that bad condition.

Small spot aside a little lake. Look like the old road. The access is bumpy and narrow. 2 spots for van ok for a tent. Noise from the road. Seems to be used by locals for fishing. No sign « no camping « .

Like in the Swiss Alps.
Totally silent, romantic tiny river, no mosquitos. A perfect place to relax and enjoy!
BTW: the whole valley is amazing. No tourists, no rubbish, good (gravelled and normal pathed) roads, possibility to see mooses and deers. Absolutely recommended!

Huge parking lot, 5 other big RVs here when we parked overnight. Lucky enough to come on a “loyalty night” and they had a free dinner out and a huge raffle for prizes

Good, Clean ablutions (No hot water when we were there)- it’s run by solar. Lovely camping spots right on the river. Heard elephants while sitting around the fire. As mentioned before T1 highway is 100m behind you so noisy with trucks. Good for one night stop. Ice cold beer available from the Resturant/Bar.

Established campground with 113 sites. $30CAD/night without services. Many nice reservable sites in the forest along the river. 1st come/1st serve sites in an area where the 2015 fire was. Easy floatable river along the area.

Basically a post apocalyptic dump. Trash everywhere. Suspiciously we got a flat shortly after departing that we suspect is related to the excessive amount of debris about. Do yourself a favor, buy a red bull, and drive on.

Restaurant is under construction at the moment, only the coffee shop is open.

Damn, the secret bivouac is out 😅 !
(Or maybe not so secret to the Kyrgyz given the quantity of broken glass and toilet paper around ☹️)

Very nice spot at a lake. Lots of trees for shadow and plenty of room for camping with tent, van or truck. Track thru town is sand so might be muddy after rain but when dry its an easy drive also for two wheel drive. When I was here some local men were having a barbecue and invited me to share their food. This to me assumed it was all okay. Popular spot for swimming so perfect after a day in the heat.

Beautiful setting BUT beginning of August there where millions of locals and Russians making party and hear loud music. Music stopped about 10pm and the night was relatively quite but with a lot of wind. I would highly recommend a 4x4 to get here but locals drive here even with their Golfs and Transits (although I wonder how ;-)). In spring or autumn it could be a really nice and quite place. One big bin next to the lake and almost no trash laying around.

Small port from where the ferry leaves to go to Saryangdo (beautiful island for hiking with impressive views and suspended bridges at the top of the mountain).
It cost us 31000 W (approx 25€) one way for 2 people and our car. It leaves every 2 hours starting from 7am at this port. The transfer lasts 40min only. Big rigs can fit inside the ferry. We did not have to book in advance.

Hard to find nice free camping spots on the island. We ended on the pier of this camping and paid 10.000W for the night (small discount because we were on the pier). Only toilets are included in the price (but bring your own toilet paper ! Haha). Showers are 2.000 W each. Water is free.
Nice view on the bay, nice and clean beach to swim in.

Very nice hiking to do on the island, with amazing views ! Little bit demanding but worth it !

Great place to park for night. Did long trail to Cape Split along with many other hikers. Nice picnic table, watched tide rise and fall on bay. Quiet night as we had rain starting 6pm.

Now 350p/p and kids pay. We didn’t stay as it was way too expensive

There is a turn off that lead to a dirt road just below the main road. You can camp here. A little bridge leads to a walnut orchard but there it seems like the night would have get more damp than I like.

Not suitable for swimming or sleeping in the tent.

This is supposed to be the true centre of South America not the one in Cuiaba. We parked in the dirt lot with another overlander and spent the night. No services but we could pick up cell signal if we stood by the highway. You take a short walk down a dirt road and all there is is a concrete marker that looks like a manhole cover. We went to the most northerly, western and southern so we had to come here before going to the eastern point later on.

We checked this place out but there's very little room to park and spend the night. We didn't stop.

A very quiet standing place at a beautiful beach. Almost no visitors. Their is a bench and a garbage bin.

It is a mall parking lot but it is convenient as it is next to the Canadian Tire from which you can pick up the free wi-fi signal wich is cool. There is also a Rossy, Pharmacy, Dollorama, La Source, Sobey's restaurants.
