Right next to the road, a hidden spot to put up a tent among some eroding little hills. Probably only accessible to bicycles.

Got directed here as the other insurance (Penta) has closed down.

Efficient and friendly place. We paid $10 for one week.

it's on the corner of Pedro Leon Gallo and Abaroa.

You can also do it online at HDI.cl

Easy crossing. Exit out of Bolivia took a few minutes.

Entering Chile is, as comments state, a longer process due to the vehicle check but it wasn't difficult.

They do make a pretty thorough check of the car though - made us take everything out of the back, even opened pots and pans, and made us remove the cover from our roof top tent (first time in 15 borders). Oh and they did have a dog present.

In terms of food, if it's already cooked you can cross with it. We weren't sure but took the chance and cooked all our veggies, meat, eggs etc. They confirmed if it's cooked it's ok. Didn't take our dairy stuff as it was pasteurised.

Flat and quiet spot, with an amazing view (like all the bad but wonderful road between Cocuy and Sogamoso passing by Jérico , definitely worth it !)

Place was fine. If you camp there is no entry fee. Some building work is going on next for so might be noisy during the day.

Big rig friendly. There is a 10t weight restriction sign but the staff told me since we were camping it was fine to proceed through the park. Road was not an issue, no bridges or anything so you can safely ignore it.

We saw boards at the entrance saying no camping and no tents allowed but we had nowhere else to go and we saw a lot of people sleeping in vehicles. So we found a grassy spot at the north of the area to pitch our tent and being hidden, and we stayed much more than 8 hours... but it wasn’t a very good night because this place is EXTREMELY noisy with all the huge trains passing all night long and the hundreds of trucks and big vehicles trafic on the highway. May be an emergency option if you have nowhere to go but expect a lot of noise (we met other people sleeping in a 4x4 they said they also didn’t sleep well because of all that noise...). There are a lot of trash cans, hot and cold water not potable, dirty washrooms... Avoid this place if you can...

A nice little park in a neighborhood of Bellingham. There were at least 3 other vans parked in the street and we had no problems. No bathrooms but the coffee shop nearby is a great place to stop.

Excellent place to eat some Brazilian food! Lunch menu is for 15Bs, Buffet for 40.
I think on weekends is a little more expensive, and they also have Feijoada on Saturday. Excellent food and nice staff. Best value in Santa Cruz!

Enjoyed our stay at this campground - everything you need is here, clean bathrooms (bring your own tp), basic kitchen, flat spots for tents. Five minute walk into town. The family that runs this place is very friendly. We did a horseback tour with Diego that we really enjoyed. The horses are very well maintained and easy to ride.

An absolutely stunning campsite! Amazing view and beautiful overlook of the mountains. Will highly recommend this spot.

Follow the road in between the house walls until it clears out and you see the small dunes and the view. Plenty of space for tents and trucks.

This road wasn't too bad on a bicycle. There was a new road parallel to the road in maps.me, which went up the first hill out of town. it wasn't in maps.me yet. I used it and it had a good surface. it was still a kind of steep to ride up a loaded touring bike for me but the steep part wasn't long. The scenery along the lake was nice. The road on the Peru side was paved.

apparently many "no RV overnight " signs have flourished in Kamouraska. this place near the little lighthouse seems on. it is on your left when you reach the river.

A relatively quiet, chill spot on the northern end of Rainbow Lake. The water is maybe not the ideal bathing spot, but the beach area is nice for a night.
Spaces for RVs higher up, but not down on the beach.
A couple of firepits along the water.

Because we were late, we asked the guys here, if they have a place to camp. we were allowed to sleep inside their building and use shower and bathroom. They said there are many cyclists staying here. Very nice and friendly people. There is also a restaurant very close.

Hello
You can find a place for park during the day.
But it's a realy small village and there is so much people with motorhome in this place who try to find a place for sleep (like us!)
I can understand that the population don't like this and the police give fine...
We don't want to disturb the local habitants and also to pay the 200$....so we go away.
We find a place to the overflow parking of green point park.
I hope this post can help you....and economise 200$...

Very nice, apart from the mosquitoes. Even when camping as far from the river as possible (near the petroglyphs), mosquito pressure was high. I saw three different groups begin setting up camp, only to pack up and leave after a few minutes of suffering the swarm. Other than the bugs and some truck noise from the highway, it was fine, with well maintained sites and vault toilets.

5 stars if the mosquitoes aren't flying in formation.

A posto out of town where you can camp the night. Very friendly staff. When we passed through there were 5 camper Van's from Florianopolis sitting on the forecourt relaxing with their washing hanging out. Electricity available, cold drinking water and bathrooms and around the back sink for clothes washing. we didn't stay the night but we chatted to the guys from Florianopolis and they were happy relaxing in the shade.
