Keep right for large trucks and RV's. Keep Left for cars and pickup trucks. Outdoor picnic tables and ramadas. vending machines inside. Pet area along back side of truck parking. Restrooms are clean and have an interesting large wooden gear display.

Do not come here to walk around or let your pet walk around. There is broken glass everywhere on the shore and in the water.

Great water spot, the hose is a bit leaky and duct taped so probably better to use your own with a filter.

As mentioned in other posts, the water spigot is right next to the bathrooms, easy to locate.

Park was empty on a Saturday afternoon this time of year so we took advantage of the path and let the dog stretch his legs as well. One person came to walk their dog in the hour we were here. There are dog waste baskets at each end of the park with bags.

Spigot next to pump 15. Easy fill up after fuelling. Asked the attendant and said it was ok. He was not sure it was fully potable but its the same water system. I'll report back if we had any issue but I doubt it. Thanks racetrac

Lots of penguins still in April. Like thousands.. The adults are changing feathers before migration. You can see then from very close and there is a cool path you can follow to cross the colony. Make sure to ask the rangers about their behaviour and how social they are with each others. It’s fascinating! Totally worth the effort!

looks like you can still stay there. a few motorhomes tucked in the pinion pines. many little spots to tuck in. you can get a ways off the highway. asked permission at the Hopi cultural center. they said, free in trees, they charge if you park on the pavement. saw a juniper titmouse here.

Road from Aspen by Sopris creek road is closed till 15th April even if there is no snow anywhere around. So it's not possible to enter the camping. The same from other side, there is a sign that road is closed 1 Dec - 15 April. The closure is right in front of the campings from both sides.

Basic hostal (in front of Zarate 3⭐ fancy hotel) with small inner courtyard with lots of plants. Shared WC and bathrooms. Everything seems clean. There's WiFi, hot shower. Beds are NOT bent. Unlike other basic hostals where I really doubt it, here they wash the sheets because they have big modern washing machine. Rooms are tiny but clean. Our bicycles stayed in inner courtyard. 25s for both in one room with one bed.
Helpful staff 🤙
The place has a restaurant open at night.
In the morning we received apples and bibles for the road.
We really recommend !

In front of this hostal there's another one, older, dirtier, without WiFi, 30s for same I asked.

Ok back again with an update - if you’re trying to get to Lanquin/Semuc Champey or Coban from Flores, I 100% recommend taking the other route, which is road PTE-11, and of course avoiding Road 5, taking AV-9 instead near Coban. This road from Lake Izabal heading towards Lanquin is insane and you really need a 4x4. Our Ford transit with all terrain tires couldn’t handle it plus it was just super uncomfortable to be rocking and driving soooo slow for sooo long. It was too much. It’s crazy to those who made it here without a 4x4 lol really wild. Just saving you a headache. Unless you like that type of adventure then go for it 😅

Cheapest room was 40 soles now. I had to change rooms, because my room didn’t had water. In general water pressure in this hotel was low, I had to wait quite long to get warmish water. WiFi is medium speed. Beds are ok.

I could put my bicycle in the room. But it took some time to find one where I could fit it or enter the room. It’s all small spaces in this hotel.

Nice camping place. There are shelters for tents, enough space for big rigs, a cabin to hang out, fireplaces and electricity. Bathrooms and showers good, altough the water was often boiling hot.We did the tour to the marvel caves (32k pp for the tour including one night of camping), which was really nice! the tour takes around 2.5h

Nice stop in Lanquin. 120 qtz for two people with electricity. Parked next to the reception office. They have a nice restaurant which we ate there almost everyday. The food is okay, rating it 7/10 but decent price. friendly staff. Dog friendly. Our dogs got to play on the river below their dock and that was nice. They have a swing rope too. Showers and toilet available.

We showed up without reservation and spontaneously went on a tour, because a lady there speaks english. After the Tour she explained each wine in the degustation-room. You will receive a card with which you can get wine from the machine by yourself. The payment is per glass at the end of the tasting.
We liked it and recommend it.
