Chandler | This is a strip of land outside of the Fort Ord National Monument park entrance that is still on BLM land. The park, while BLM closes and does not allow overnight parking but just outside of the park gate is still BLM. Parked here overnight, no one bothered us. |

andrealoboaraujo | We drove alone the firts 250 km, then they escorted until a bit earlier than Samarra. We told them if they could drive 90km/h and they were going at a good speed. Nice people, just be pacient for the passport checking and changes of escorts. |

instagram.com/2bikes4trek | toll cabins close to Anchorena's town entrance. they give as a service inside building, hot water (for mate), cold potable water and toilets (very clean with paper and soap). Water from the faucet is no drinking water (very salty) they allow us to pitch the tent behind the main building and even they have some barbecue, bench and table to use it. covered parking for regular vehicle and space for big rigs. we ask for cellphone signal and they give us WiFi password. also an outlet to charge devices. Nice people! |

Livinlavitoloca23 | Very cute little campsite at the back of the hostel. It’s an olive tree garden surrounded by vines, birds and mountains in the background. Toilets and showers are super clean and quite new and well maintained. Did not see or use the hostel facilities. No wifi at the campsite but good 4g Claro signal. There are chickens, turkeys and some sweet dogs walking around. We managed with our 2.70m height to find a nice spot on the campground. If you’re bigger there is a separate entrance without height restrictions but the place to put your van is limited. Def not suitable for big rigs. We paid 4000ARS PP. |

skinnyangiosperm09 | New info that might be of interest and could be taken into account if anyone might consider extending their carnet in Indonesia - the ADAC charges per quarter, so 1-3 Months 65,-- Euro 4-6 M 125,-- Euro 7-9 M 185,-- Euro 10-12 M 250,-- Euro I heard about an administration fee that the IMI in Jakarta would charge, but I was pretty surprised when they asked for 2,5 million, so 145€. It’s an amount that might be worth considering whether to extend or just get a new carnet, as the next country might not even recognise the extension… |

jenni.davemcada | The lake on one side and snow capped mountains on the other. Birds are singing and scent of orange blossoms heavy in the air this morning. This COE campground is nice but noisy. Reservations at recreation.gov for $30 a night or less with interagency annual pass. |

overlandunderdog | Price is 90pppn, total bargain for the area and the cheapest accomodation we've found, staff are lovely, ablutions are clean and functional. Sadly the deck for the waterhole has fallen apart (termites), but you can just as easy take your camping chair there the sit Infront of the waterhole. |

Csextonoutside | Stopped in to check on the spot last week. We've had a VERY rainy spring in the area and the lake did flood at some point. Either way, there's a pretty decent size mud pit getting to two of the spots and plenty of bugs to go around down there near the lake. It just didnt look great so we went searching for another spot for the night. |

kmaloney72 | stayed 4/21/24, one night in our 35ft 5er & f350 dually. Unexpected festival (Rajun Cajun) on Riverside so thankfully arrived early & got a great spot. Great spot to walk & see all in downtown Memphis. Parking is under all the highways so lots of road noise & trains, didn't bother us, we use white noise/fans/ear plugs. Security & City Police patrol, we felt very safe. We would stay here again |

VanMargrit | Simple primitive camp area. The USFS campgrounds and many of the roads are only open May-Sept so we were glad this road was open. Likely because lots of residences along the road on the way to the camp area. All 2-3 gates were open. |

The Last Place | This is a new campground that opened up in 2024! We have six RV palapa sites that are full-hookup (30-amp electricity, water, septic). Bathrooms with showers and laundry are available for guests to use. Each of these RV sites is generous enough to accommodate vehicles up to 24 feet/7.3 meters long, 10 feet/3 meters wide, and 10.6 feet/3.2 meters tall. Maximum occupancy is four guests and two well-behaved pets. The campground is located in Cabo Pulmo, which is a premier diving location in Baja California Sur. It is possible to witness whales, schools of jack-fish, sharks, and various other marine life when scuba diving or snorkeling in the nearby reefs. |

solarrank49 | We travelled back from Russia to Georgia and it was a walk in the park. Two hours, no interviews, no stress and friendly staff. We travelled with our converted van and this is often regarded as a truck. I do recommend passing the trucks and go for the car lane. If you are eventually directed to go to the truck lane it still saves you hours because you cut in line. Assertiveness over politeness seems to be the order of things in nomansland. |
