There is a parking, restaurant, laundry, soccer zone, car wash and more. It's small but is ok, and so nice staff. Change us 20000 by day and we get energy in barber shop with Fernando.

Left hand side of hwy on Fogo island. Beautiful clearing with fire pit and no other amenities. No signs posted and no one bothered us. Very clean with view of ocean. Only downfall was sewage smell with wind from the houses? Great spot to relax after the ferry.

Great place to spend the sunset. Great views of Honda. They were closed when I visited but the neighbors told me I can walk and see the sunset views.

This water fill up is out of commission. There are three machines and they are all not working

It's a small and quiet campground with 10Amps hydro, showers, wifi, some hiking trails. It's about 20-25min. to the Malecon, 35-40min. to the pacific if you love surfing and a quiet place after that. You do have the mountains in front of you for hiking, exploring or whatever. You can come with your Camper, or own tent, or you can rent their big tent with two beds. Motorcyclists are welcome too! They have dogs, and because of that, other pets are not aloud. Many different birds are coming to this place, because of the water place they have for them. The whole place is a bit here and there under "construcion", they just opened it a few weeks ago, and need to finish few things, that's why the low price of 200 pesos per night (June 2024), which will change at some day, once everything is finished.

I took the ferry and there were quite a few people on it. Midday on a wednesday.
Paid 30,000 guaranies for me and the motorbike. Police told me it run all the time.

a much better alternative to the paid campsite! take the penitente loop road and keep going past the water point. plenty of dispersed camping spots with fire rings all the way to witches canyon

This is a PCT campground/stopover, but if you ask the owners, you can car camp in the parking lot overnight or go to the Kennedy Meadows Campground a mile down the road.
Grumpy's has a restaurant and bar. Free WiFi, free tent camping for hikers, free laundry, free outdoor showers with one temperature but it's warm, bathrooms with running water. We're off grid so generators go off at night, no access to showers, etc once the generators go off. Please consider donating in the jar inside or at least just go have a burger and a beer for the stay. Scott and Kendra are amazing. ❤️

Might even be called Gull Lake rest area as it is just past the town when heading East. Compared to many spots this is the best . All possible others, including paid campgrounds are between the highway and the train tracks. At least this is free. Has trees, a breeze and a lovely view of farmed fields . Two other campers here tonight. Use earplugs .

Very nice laundromat open 24 hours. Very clean and decent prices.

Beautiful and comfortable stay for the night. Friendly town visiters. The grounds are well-kepted. Lots of space for a quiet night's rest. Swimming pool not open yet.

We stop for a nice and super clean hot shower. $11,50 tx included. They have towels and you can share the shower with someone !

At this time both bathrooms were locked up. There are a couple of spickets outside but you need pliers to turn on. We didn't have any.

full service site but not well developed. power only at far rear site. water and sewer everywhere. Roughly level site.

Awesome ! Un endroit directement sur le bord du lac, tranquille, peu / pas de moustiques, plusieurs emplacements avec des spots à feu et un bon signal cellulaire. Plusieurs autres véhicules à bonne distance. Bien mieux que l’emplacement directement derrière la brasserie.

Primitive campsites are very tight. We do not recommend over 25’ ft travel trailers.

there is definitely potable water- the sign says it's potable and the city worker who was the when I was confirmed it's city water. the other tall taps are for the rv flush. also a dumpster to empty garbage and a very big area with 2 dump sites and tapes of both types. they're is also a lovely paved trail and a place to walk your dog. fantastic service provided by the city of Cranbrook.

Backed in with our 27’ Airstream so had dining room windows towards the river. Didn’t have to unhitch. Listened to the river all night. Great quiet spot!

We stayed here for 2 nights. There is local traffic as mentioned. Quite more than you would expect but not too bad. Everyone friendly. The night is 100% quiet. Road is bad but okay.

EDIT: In the second night we stayed here there were drunk locals driving up and down the mountain road. They even stopped and slammed at our door driving away laughing. That was 3am. So not very cool. My girlfriend almost had a heart attack

Josh is an absolute savior, great guy and willing to help people traveling through town. He helped get our fridge working in under an hour and got us back on the road. Highly recommend!
