Well... no go for us. I pulled in to check it out as a possible spot to park for the night. It's wide and level but feels like you are parked in a vacant lot between two homes. There was a definite sketchy/rapey feel about the area. Then I read the review about the kids beating a cat to death. All set! On to the next one.

Abandoned place with small beach and several tables. Camper/car you have to stop on the parking, with motorbike/bicycle is possible to pass. Very close to the road, but some trees cover you, and no problem for sleeping. I spent one night and I didn't see nobody around.

Sandy gravel road down to the bay, but doable (even after rain) in our 2wd overweight dodge grand caravan. A few flat spots, there were people with tents, boat trailers and tent trailers so it is possible for most rigs to access.

Only gas station along route 4 that we could find that would sell to international plate, at international prices.
May have to do with the road blocks in the area currently but it’s the one other stations directed us to as well.

This is the headquarter of the Aduana in Bocas del toro province. This is the only place where you can extend your TIP in the region. They have lunch break from 12pm to 1pm. You will need to show proof of insurance for the additional month, which you may get at the border or possibly in Changuinola (not sure, got mine in David already). Extending takes 10min and is free. To get here by bus: Coming from Almirante take a bus to Changuinola and change there to a bus toward the border or if possible take one directly from Almirante to the border. All buses from Changuinola to the border stop at an immigration checkpoint shortly past the Aduana office. Get off the bus at the checkpoint, show your passport and tell the officers that you need to go to the Aduana. Walk back 200m to find the Aduana office to the right. Save yourself a long day and many buses that I went through and go directly here. Do not go to the old marker in Changuinola Centro that also pops up on google when you search for Aduana as there is no Aduana office. Also do not go the border at Sixaola because they can only issue TIP but not extend it.

career as a pillar. tourist site in a quarry where multiple stone statues are exhibited. few explanations. price 5 sol pp, free for children up to 10 years old. Be careful to go see certain statues you have to pay an additional 2 or 3 sol. We did not consider it necessary to pay more because we can see the statues from afar. continuing on foot a little further into the quarry I had the chance to see the sculptors working on a new series of statues on the theme of mythology.

We stayed 4 nights at this beautiful and well maintained place. Everything has already been said.
The only "negative" point is the Wifi. They have a separate network for the parking area but this was very sketchy, most of the time slow and we were disconnected a couple of times.

We had the ferry at Porto Vera Cruz, the Argentina customs wrote us ‘out’ but on the Brazil side they did not have customs!
So we drove to Santo Ângelo customs to get a stamp and a T.I.R..

We arrived at 7pm and all 10 pitches were full. No space left. Looked like most were parked for the summer. Lots of permanent looking structures built and well established camps. Is this now a ‘nomad’ free site?

Stayed here for two nights. Entrance to the national park is 60s pp, valid for three days. Camping here is free. Large meadow to choose your spot. Toilets fairly clean and functional. No cell reception. We left our campervan here and went for a hike. No problems at all, friendly staff around.
