Such a great spot, large area, beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, quiet night, we stayed one night here with few vans as well, enough place where to make a fire. Totally worth it.

This company has two shops in Santiago and this is their biggest one. Parking is easy near the street, plenty of room. They sell almost everything you need for a campervan including waterpumps from SeaFlow and they are suppliers of diesel heaters from Autoterm. They import straight from Germany and have a lot of spare parts and heaters in stock. We found all the gaskets and a glowplug here for our 2D heater. Almost the same prices as in Europe! They also sell electronic parts, cooking stuff and much more. Friendly people who were very helpful.

I stayed two nights here before and after dayhiking Canyon Creek Lakes Trail (highly recommended). It was flat, quiet other than the river, had a fire ring, and starlink worked great. No cell reception.

Great place for moto riders and anyone. Camp, shared rooms or private. Secured parking. Close to town. Well run and friendly. Also well connected for repairs or anything needed. Great place to meet other riders. Find routes to travel. Get GPX files. Take riding riding lessons. Join planned tours. Soon study Spanish. Great internet. Food fresh from extensive garden. A must stop as you travel the pan-American. Unload stuff and store it safely here, to travel lighter. Lots of options. Its quiet as well.

Probably my favorite campsite. FCFS. Maximum 3 night stay although nobody seems to be monitoring it. $10 night ($5 with senior discount).

Lots of vault toilets, dumpster, well water (but you can’t fill your van, just containers).

We had site no 8. In our opinion this was the best site as there was a path directly to our “private beach” on the edge of the creek. So beautiful for breakfast and happy hour.

Great biking/hiking from camp. Paved trail to Ketchum. Excellent cell coverage

We arrived on bikes just as it started raining. The first guy we spoke to wasn’t so keen on having us and he was not very friendly which was a bit off-putting at first. All the rest of the staff there were really friendly and welcoming , the first guy maybe was having a bad day.

They let us camp under a roof of a building that is currently under construction which was dry all night. Electric plug and water available inside and we could shower too.

We were told that it’s possible to sleep at the church over the road but we didn’t confirm.

ENGLISH
- We did it WITHOUT GUIDE, we started at 8am and only paid 50q. pp in the trail. There are resting areas with roof. After the little restaurant "EL CONEJO" there is a path intersection, take the one on your RIGHT, so you avoid to pay another 50q. The path is steep and in zig zag. Then you arrive at the rest area called "LA Y", where you have to take another path on your RIGHT, wich is mainly flat, and after 1km you arrive to the camping areas, you will see A frame cabins and white tents; you will find free platforms to pitch your tent with excelent view to El Fuego volcano.
- We arrived at 13.30hs and there was nobody, so we could choose our place without problem.
- We used the cellphone location and Maps.me all the way up, to see the resting areas, the trails más the altitudes.
We brought 4 liters of water más food, an stove for the cold and for preparing a tea or hot chocolate, also warm clothes, sleeping bags, camping mattreses, tent and water proof por us and for the tent.
- It was a BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCIE, the path is wide and well marked all the way, you can come without guide and without groups of people listening music next to you...

We did it WITHOUT GUIDE and slept here in our tent, there are free platforms to pitch a tent in this area, excelent view to volcán de Fuego. We only paid 50Q pp in the trail. It took us 5.30 hours of walking, carrying all our stuf, water and food, clothes and camping stove, water proof protection for us and for our tent!! We arrived at 13.30hs and we were alone so we could choose our place for camping, (anyway that night there was no one else sleeping in a tent).
We came in mid June and it rained almost all night, anyway the sky cleared out and we could see the eruptions, amazing!!!
We wrote the indications of the trail in the pin "start of the hike" to come up WITHOUT GUIDE!!

Espectacular!

We stayed with 4 tents not at this place but 200m further, after the soccer field. That further, less visible and probably more quiet. We asked permission to the people chilling at the soccer field.
Water is accessible.

Road was manageable in a Audi A3. Higher clearance would have been good but we made it. Beautiful spot in the meadow with a amazing view of the mountains. Can recommend if you wanna wild camp instead of going to Teth.

We found that it was a bit exposed, so we went a few meters further into the street and camped in the field right behind the bushes. It was a freshly cut grass field.

Private and secure camping and vehicle parking area. It has bathrooms and a restaurant. a few meters from the main attraction the Palestine Caves, a spectacular circuit of caves where guided tours are offered. A very quiet place surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes. The owners are very friendly people. Bring mosquito repellent.

There are a few spots to camp tucked in behind the badland formations as long as your rig can get across the small wash just after the car park area. Much quieter than the car park which will have walkers and overnighters coming and going.

It’s half abandoned park with a restaurant. There is a few flat concrete spots for your tent (so only self standing tents)
The owner was completely fine with me staying a night, didn’t ask for money and even offered me some fruits.
At that time it was Friday and some people were having dinner there but no loud music and etc.
If also has a toilet and water tap.
Sorry for no picture

It’s a bit trashy area as you can see on the pic but was no people at night and completely quiet. Also bushes from both side good protects you from the wind and you have a small access to the water right next to your tent.
There is another place near by for a car, but I’m not completely sure about that
