The falls themselves are gorgeous and only about a mile round hike to see them. When I arrived around 6 PM on Monday, the place was not busy at all; I could easily park & myself and one other RV stayed the evening. all the signs regarding "day use only" is in reference to the campgrounds (they don't want campers). no signage regarding parking or overnight parking. no hour restrictions at all. However the morning was insanity - it is Tuesday, and at 11AM there was a line of cars behind me, double parked waiting for spots to open up. As soon as I had the opportunity, I left as I was feeling overwhelmed - the people trying to park were obviously frustrated at lack of parking spots and then me trying to back up on top of it all made them angrier. This is a BIG tourist spot.. The second falls down the road were just as crazy. Luckily I found a spot at the Oneonta Trailhead a few miles past that where it's a lot less populated and hectic. It is a park & ride spot for the waterfall trolley, but no signs restricting parking whatsoever. |

Fito has a nice little ranch called cabalgatas „Don Tacho“. He offers horseback riding in the wedlands. It’s a great adventure. Really nice guy, also his wife Susi. You can also swim with the horses if there is enough water in the lands. He offered to stay for the night on his ground and also made delicious local food for us. On the farm there are horses, cows, dogs, cats, ducks, chickens and much more. We really enjoyed this place. Fito also offers other nice adventures like fishing. 💛👍

Not sure if it’s under new management but when we arrived on a Sunday night the parking attendant seemed surprised we were asking to camp. After we told him we would eat at the restaurant and use the saunas he showed us to the restaurant for dinner without explicitly telling us we could stay or giving us a price though we asked. The dinner was really good, well prepared salads, steaks and fish dishes. Bit pricy (120-130) but a fine dining vibe. The parking area was ok and level enough. We chose to stay at the parking area on the north side of the property rather than the south side. Little loud with trucks driving at night and then around 11pm a local backed his car into one of our vans destroying the cargo box. In the morning there seemed to be confusion about how much to charge us for the overnight parking with a lot of phone calls to reception and several people mentioning that we should pay but not having an amount. Very odd. We had a delicious breakfast (65-75) but horrible service especially compared to the night before. We asked for coffee about 3 times before finally getting it at the end of the meal. They took forever to take our order, never cleared the table of the group before us but seemed to cater just fine to all the different groups and guests coming into the restaurant after us. Later we did the sauna for an hour which was really nice with steam from the volcanoes (30 pp. finally when we were leaving, after another 5 min phone call, they decided to charge us 90pp for parking. Really beautiful property and great food but really weird vibe from the staff all around. It seemed more cut and dry with the description in the listings in previous years but we definitely felt like they hadn’t had overlanders in awhile. |

Wonderful country location just outside the charming town of Barichara. Hosted by Helmut and Jennifer in their finca you’ll camp on flat grassy area with access to bathroom facilities. Wonderful nature sounds and very tranquil. Road in gets a lil narrow and steep at times but nothing too severe. Highly recommend! |

Very cheap! 35,000 for 2 people and 2 beds. 1 person is only 25,000! Cold shower. Good wifi and restaurant below is also cheap 15,000 for menu of the day with soup and drink. Same for breakfast. Small shop next door. No fan which made it quite hot and also power went out from about 8pm until 8am, whether intentional or it was just a powercut. Decent place and very cheap. Lots of room for bikes in room. Great views up here |

Passed by here on the highway on bicycles at around 1pm. Area didn’t feel at all dangerous. Lots of cars and trucks passing by. Friendly people waving and beeping. The biggest danger here is it’s quite remote and there are no tiendas plus it was really hot (June 2024) so if you are travelling by bicycle make sure to pack a lot of water as there is nothing |

Great spot. Slept one night on 2nd street, where there are no « no overnight » signs (in doubt lol). We were at list 5 campers in a row in this street, and I’m pretty confident the other streets were full of vans too (as they were when we changed place around 8PM.

Stayed here for a few nights, leaving during the day and returning at night. Typical CB experience - amazing hospitality and a restful night sleep. Each night there were a handful of RVs, camper vans, and cars. Everyone kept to their self. Safe environment. |

An amazing little gravel spot with lots of parking, near the bathrooms, which seem to be open 24/7, across the street in the park. Quiet with not worries, with the next street the main drag, offering a couple little mom and pops shops and food. There are 2 gas stations. |

There are a number of unimproved campsites just south of the bridge over China River North fork. Access is via an unpaved road, just west of the bridge. The only restriction signs are: "No vehicles in the river" and an icon of a splashing ATV going down the river. There were several other campers here last night, some had ATVs but didn't start riding them until later in the morning, and they stayed out of the river. The road down to the river is unsuitable for larger rigs.

After giving a try to the place next to the playground and municipality (police asked us to leave after checking our mobilhome from top to bottom!), we kindly asked if we could spend the night there because it was already late. The guy on night shift said it was not a problem. We could just stay on the parking or in front of the little supermarket next to the gas station. There is WiFi in front of the supermarket and toilets and showers at the gas station. We even forgot our bike outside and it was still there in the morning. |
