BEST ITALIAN FOOD HERE! We‘ve been traveling for 1 year now and we were blown away by this cuisine. Loved the vibes and the (fresh hand made) pasta has a good price. Can recommend this 100%!

Stayed here for a night, absolutely gorgeous view. Very quiet and plenty of spots, many overnight campers here that were gone by the time I left around 10am. Gorgeous waterfall hike as you come in (there is a pull out and a gate that says “no parking”, that’s where you enter for the hike). Clean pit toilets, spotty T-Mobile service depending on where you are. Would’ve stayed longer if I had the time! Make sure to come to Amanda’s cafe one town over, delicious homemade food, very cute place and very kind!

Huge place. The spots are a bit close though. Lots of trees and shade. Great Lake, many trails. The shower/bathroom facilities are a bit old, not very well maintained. Hot water on the shower. 13USD per night. It was just me this time.

Huge more or less flat area. I think during rainy season it is a lake. Next to road, semi hidden, but not more then 10 cars a day. Some shade. No signal. Very few mosquitoes in dry season.

Rudimentary and outdated YPF. Expansion work in progress. Stray dogs. Good for one night.

We do not stay here, not for big rigs, too tiny, and not the best Look around.

The road was fully packed, lots of Activities around, too busy in our point of view, difficult to turn for bigger rigs

We stopped there by chance, looking for an open workshop. The mechanics were super nice and helped us with our broken diff (Toyota Landcruiser). They helped remove the front drive shaft and did a differential oil change so we could keep going until we find somewhere to repair our diff. We paid 200DHR, which is a very reasonable price. There is also a car hoist (not for heavy cars though).

spent the afternoon and night here. lot of traffic coming in and leaving. seems to be a place to hang out. Some bicyclists park here to get on bike trail. Not bothered entire night. Had a good sleep.

We stayed here for the night super quiet and calm. We parked in between the Canadian tire and the Walmart as there was less light from the parking lot.

Grand parking très tranquille, bon réseau cellulaire.

This is the 2nd night we spend here before and after visiting Victoria & Sooke, we love it! Very quiet, except for birds and river, friendly fellow campers and locals, close to pit toilets, relatively low level of bugs, and a cute lil bunny hanging around as well. Some bikers warned us that a bear was in the area, we saw no traces, but there are indeed huckleberry bushes around. No garbage bins. The only downside was someone who used the trail to go down the river as a toilet area and left everything just in the middle of it...
Let's respect this great spot, pack everything in and out, not only out of respect for locals but also so that others may enjoy it in the future! :)

PS. the gated parking lot is apparently never closed, even though there's a sign saying so. Heard it from someone who's slept there several times. It's bigger and more levelled, closer to the outhouses & picnic table, but more frequented by bikers & hikers during the day.

Once you turn right off the main road, off-road gets bumpy and it took us 30 mins to reach the camp on our 30 feet

We were told that you need to reserve to stay here. Appears to have mostly long-stay guests. Working on a bathroom situation. Great views. Rates are now $75 a day full hookup. Call Don 907-299-0472. We did not stay.

fuel was expensive at $2.26 but store has good selection and clean bathrooms

we loved it here! stayed for the night and it was very quiet. we got blessed with a small storm in the night. didn’t see any goat-heads, walked around barefoot just fine. the spot fit our 29ft rig. there is a big CAT machine but it looks like it’s been here awhile. highly recommend

Pasamos una tarde y una noche. Paramos justo antes de la bajada 3 enfrente a Restaurante Marquinos. Repitiendo el comentario anterior: hay una panaderia a 300 mts por esa calle del restaurante hacia arriba. El agua de la playa templada. Buen lugar.

Nice rest stop with dog run and clean restrooms. No drinking water. Signs say water is contaminated with E. Coli bacteria. Good Version signal. Fair amount of truck noise running their engines all night, but it was nice for a night.

Came as a cyclist. Bomberos don’t welcome travelers because the station is so small. No space available to sleep there.

Here provided me a classroom to sleep in and a toilet with cold shower. Good enough to spend the night. The people very kind.

On a dormi une nuit ici… visible depuis un sens de circulation. Spot tout à fait correct le long de cette longue route.
Aucun passage de voiture la nuit.

this is not a good spot..an officer came by at just before 11pm and told me I couldn't stay

Great little spot off the side of the road for a great nights rest. We stayed for 1 night and had a very quite and peaceful night with no issues or problems. We pulled off the main road across from the estratos walk and found an old paved road which we stopped and stayed on for a level spot. It was absolutely beautiful with all the mountains and red rocks surrounding us. We would definitely recommend.

Stayed the night. Two others here and one down around the corner.

We stayed at a designated site farther up the road and had a wonderful night. There are several sites (at least 9, possibly more) along the 6-mile stretch. Many have fire rings and privacy off the road.

Llegamos Gasolina y nos dieron tickets para tomar ducha. Los baños son gratis. Pedimos apoyo con un pinto de electricidad y nos permitieron conectarnos gratis al fondo al lado de un garage. Excelente lugar gente muy amable.
