We got here on late afternoon Saturday afternoon. Since it had been raining the past several days our solar was not topping up so we asked if we could get power. They let us park along side the yellow posts beside the empty store and plug into the men's room. 110V. 4G Vivo signal. Restaurant was closed. You can only get tokens for shower if restaurant is open.

Police wouldn’t let us enter even though we could see plenty of spaces. Said we were too big: Ford Transit. Told us to park at the BBQ place, which is only day use (almost didn’t let us park here)...no sleeping in van.

Magnificent site very beautiful view of the chain of puy de dome and the plain of limagne, beware there can be wind .

the road is really bad, multiple parts of our camper fell off or broke.

Bad day or complicated border, we don‘t know. But travelling over 1 year that was the worst border so far. First they only wanted to give us the free visum for 7 days. So we had to pay the MXN 575 per person for the 180 days visum.

1. Park car before first building and get the form that you have to fill out.

2. Drive to the second building (imigration). You will get stopped and they will control your car if you have fresh meat, eggs, veggies or rice/beans.

3. Go to the cashier (Banjercito) and pay for the visas. You get a paper which you have to show at imigration. We could start the process for the vehicul at the same time.

4. Go to the imigration (Tourist and Local Visitors) and get your visa. Keep the tiny paper as you have to show it when leaving Mexico.

5. Go back to Banjercito and the will take pictures of your car. When it is declared as Motorhome you don‘t have to pay a deposit other wise you pay up to USD 400, depending on age of the car. You get the deposit back when leaving Mexico. Not to forget that you pay additional USD 59 importation fee.

We had a hard time with the Aduana, because our car paper say it is a Minivan and we converted it our self. If you can‘t show papers which say that you converted it with a professional company they won‘t declare it as a Motorhome. So the car can only be in the countey as long as your visum (180 days) and not the 10 years as a motorhome get.

Great stop to wash the van and do laundry. $1.25 per car wash cycle, able to wash the van with $3.75. Lots of soap comes out in the car wash. Multiple options for the clothes. Did a six basket laundry machine for $4.50 and dried it for $1.25. There’s a place to fill up with purified water two stores down.

Nice winery very friendly people you can do a wine tasting tour or just come along like us. we tasted 2 different wines and bought 6 bottles. good quality wine for sharp prices. we loved this place.

I looked around for a place to wash the underneath carriage of the car properly, and was sent here. Franklin, the owner, speaks English. The lift is rated 4500 kg. Washed outside, underneath and engine (not inside) for 40. Good service. Applied also some oil (I provided) to the carriage.

Great little family run laundry. $90 pesos per load. Very friendly service, and really neatly folded washing. Easy walking distance from the Soriana car park.

Nice campground. $8 a site. maybe 15 sites. pretty close together, but there was only one other group here. pretty heavy ATV use during the day. Pit toilets.

Beautiful view, all was clean and pools really nice and hot. One pool has roof over so itbis nice even in rain. Staff checked the temperature of pools with thermometer, place is well maintained. I liked possibility to dip also into the fjord water. Would say 20 000 cp is bit much as place is small. Still would recommend to visitt anyone who has not tried thermas before 🙂

Liked the place, had conger eel soup 8000 cp and pizza 7500. Was well seasoned and big portions.

It is quite decent but no grass so place is dusty. Bathrooms have hot shower but are bit dirty. Wifi works and the common kitchen is good and cozy. Two power outlets in kitchen, one in bathroom.

7.5 miles on a dirt road. Road in good shape. Nice spot. No cell service.

As described, small clearing in the pines. Not super level, but there are rocks around to help level. Spotty H+(2G) cell coverage, can get texts out/in randomly. Nice trails all around the area. We picked up a decent amount of plastic trash, please do the same!

Free dump, gas and diesel, no potable water.

A modern take on a homemade Ecuadorian meal. Grilled meats that come out on a grill platter, plus a side of veg. See the photo. Delicious! The $5 chicken is great value. A ton of food. The mixed meat dish was a bit fatty, but still a lot of meat for $13!

RV water fill up was free. The hose bib os on the back wall of the gas station’s kiosk. Don’t use the ‘air & water’ station; that water is fir topping iff lead acid batteries or radiators.

Gas station attendant has to unlick the hose bib. See sign on back of the station kiosk.

Very good hostal. Friendly and helpfull staff.
Wifi, washing machine (clothes), garden and very enquiptment kitchen.
We booked a double room for 2.200 pesos (30 euro).

Close to the central plaza of Capioví, grassy alley next to the bicentennial center, very nice neighbours, quiet and safe, panadería close by - perfect to spend a night on the route to or from Iguazú

Paved road but with no gas stations for at least 100km. Road is narrow with not much space for a hard shoulder (space to pull over or stop in an emergency).

This road is very bendy but it's not as steep as it looks on the map. Very nice scenery!
