Wild free camping. No internet, no toilets, no water no people. Beautiful canyon clean and wild!

There is a parking lot that’s appears to be under construction. No signs of no overnight. The only problem is that during the week there are to many trains crossing up to 2am. On weekend it was more quiet. The spot is beautiful and there are clean toilets and playground for kids

nice and quiet, nice walk to the waterfalls. plenty of space to park, almost flat. other parking lot further up is not flat. btw the tyrolesa seems to be nicer on the other side !

On the road there are a police station. I spent the night here camping behind a tree. I used the freezer during the night to have enough cold water to cross to Casa de Piedra.

There are a bar/shop 20 meters of this point if you need food.

Good surprise to meet, Julio Toaguiza Tigasi in his gallery. Julio is a world famous andean naive painter.We've been explained the story of some of his paintings and Julio even played a piece of song of his music band.

No water available today?!?! May be a temporary situation, no-one around to ask.

Really nice place, cats made some noise at night. Hike up the Wadi for a swim in the amazing pool near the watersource. Keep to the right, the entrance of the path is a bit tricky to find.

As the others described it. I was the only one. Quiet. Beautiful. Close to Joshua Tree Park but also only 3 minutes from highway / gas station. Recommended

It is only a Car parking with small capacity (4 cars)

Nice campsite including picnic site stretching between river and ocean, where the very friendly owner authorized us to camp. Fantastic view, quiet, secure and only our 5 4x4 for the night. Only 5000 p/pers for us but normally 7000. Hot shower in the camping but only cold one in the picnic site (3 km between those 2 places...). Large Picnic site shaded by big tree. All facilities. Highly recommended.

turn to the left more or less 5 km before arriving to Futaleufú. road not accessible with a vehicle maybe a 4×4. down the road and once you're on the river side go to the left. nice very small beach, very quiet. small fire pit with two chairs. you can't park so good for bikers or by foot

On the road passage at 4807m like if you where on the top of the Mont Blanc

Beautiful and perfect place to camp, relax and make a woodfire. The unique problem is that the river / waterfall that little will be possible will be able to see and enjoy. Agriculture is using the water from the waterfall and now when we were not had waterfall and almost nothing water in the waterfall, very slippery to get close to where you have water. I believe that has other waterfalls with water and beautiful also in this region that can be able to harness more!

Did not get into the yard of the subprefecture but did camp in front of the police station across the road. Police commander was a really nice guy keen to practice his English. He also took us to a place for the best spaghetti and omelette ever (across the traffic circle). Maybe we were also very hungry. No toilet or shower available. Two night clubs competing for most distorted music (both winners for sure) played for a while but after the road of the day not much was keeping me awake so not sure what time they shut up shop.

General trader next door sells Airtel SIM cards and data.

Good safe spot after a tiring day.

Arrived right as closing (5 pm in off season), and much later and the owners might have been gone/gate closed. If tent camping, not the best spot as the parking lot (where we got permission to camp) is mostly stony and has limited wind protection. Choose between gravel/not pegging your tent or wind with less gravel.
Still, glad they let us camp and checking out the cafe and museum in the morning.
Low season hours 11-5, closed Wednesdays and off season.

We stayed one night without any problems. The lot fits aprox. 50 cars. We arrived at 7pm and found a few spots available because there were games going on at the park. Once everyone left, more spots became available so we moved to a spot that faced the park and was below a street light. We left around 8:30am the next morning. At that time, you can already hear people exercising and enjoying the park.

It os closed ay the moment, apparently. :(

Worth the visit. A great collection of fabrics, clothes, feathers, masks.

Simple but nice and very clean hotel. We made our coffee and breakfast on the tables outside of the room. This was fine for them.
Only small cars will fit inside the gate.

Ramio is a very friendly and helpful mechanic. He has a clean garage and good experience.
Recommended by the local Landrover group and we got a perfect work on our Defender at very good price.

at the back of the copec there is place to park your car/van/tent. the people of the copec say its oke to sleep here

They have good prices, but it's kind of like a Costco : on most things, the portions are huge! I love olives but I don't have room for 2kg of it! They also only take their own credit card, so bring cash.

You'd need to be pretty desperate to sleep here... The grass is full of trash and the toilets are filthy! Just do yourself a favor and drive the extra km to the lagoon.

Not a bad spot, but manage your expectations, it's nothing special. You probably saw dozens of much nicer beaches if you are coming from the north.

Edit : Writing this at 8 am the next day. Avoid this place in the weekend! At night it turned into a discotheque with 3 different parties competing to have their music the loudest and as of right now, the party is still going. I thought the cold would chase them away as it got cold at one point, but I get you don't feel it when you are dancing high on coke.

Great place to spend the night in the center of the city. Just a toilet, no shower. 2,60 meters of high. Staff friendly.

An update; March 2020. Still a great place with very friendly people and the best food we’ve had in Egypt so far. We paid LE 350 per night; we slept in our own truck but got a room for using the wc and shower. The Stella’s are still cold and cost LE 50/Euro 3,15. The diner is LE 110 for an amount of food that can easily feed 4 pax. Luxor might not be as busy as Cairo and Alex, but it’s still a noisy city with lots of traffic and combined with the heat, it can wear you down. But as soon as you enter the gate, it is cool, the noises fade away and the lovely, relaxed staff does not hunt you down. And it has enough room for our 8 mtr rig.

This is a luxurious very exclusive campsite. It's not allow to camp in your camping equipment. The price of a romm is 13000 NB around 850 usd!!! But it's amazing! :)
