In this parque you can see a lot of different birds (ducks, pigeons, fasans..). The owner of the parque has build it up 18 years ago and besides the birds in cages there are also free living birds which chose this park to live in because of its beautiful flora

We camped up here the night, just off the side road on the grass. Nice flat spot, beautiful views and quite, but at 4,400m. Off the main road (Pe34c). It was cold so we faced east for morning sun and warmed up quickly in the morning. Amazingly clear sky and stars.

Camp managers allowed us to come in and fill up our water tank for free at the second well house (by the campground host spot, down near the boat launch).

we squeezed in here heading south. there is little or no fuel for many miles north of here be sure to plan.

Beautiful view. Basic gravel lot on cliff. Confirmed open, but gravel hump may deter long wheelbases. State of Alaska land.

As mention before this is a new hostel but as the overlanders spots are no existing in Fortaleza this is the place to come. A small parking on the back can accommodate 4 small rigs. The door has no height restrictions and the price is 20 pp including breakfast and all the hostel facilities.

Pit toilet and spot for rig or tents. Make sure you put your food in the bear box.

Nice new rest area near Jamestown. Big lot for trucks and big rigs to park overnight. Tables. Bathrooms. Wifi. Some vending machines. Nice lake view. Quiet.

Had to make another passport cause mine was stolen in Peru. Flavio was one of the nicest guys I ever had to deal with for any documents. Got instructions and help, and after paying the fee in the bank, he got me a new passport in like an hour.

German going to Argentina for the day: Immigration stamped me out, customs said to hang on to original TIP until I leave for good (still had enough time on TIP).

First wanted to let me in for the day without TIP, when I asked to reconfirm, they issued me one.

After driving through Yellowstone for hours only to find out there were no campsites, this was a gift from God! A beautiful view of the mountains, and located along the river which you cannot see but can hear, and there is a path that will bring you down to view it, pit toilet, near a highway but very quiet and I expect it’ll be even quieter in the evening.

Very pleasant hotel run by a very nice and culturally impressive family. We paid 15.000 clip per adult and half for the children. Not the cheapest but worth the money. Good breakfast, good wifi, very clean and warm. We also had dinner here. Room for bikes and cars and while there is no gate the town is a lovely tranquil place - unlikely to have any problems. Recommend.

We’ve also avoided this police checkpoint in an easy way. Just as senor sepp says. Maps.me doesn’t know the way though.
Coming from the peruvian border turn left after the gas-station. Drive towards the terminal and there you take just before a small concrete bridge the right dirt-road. Drive towards the grey door and turn to the left. Follow the dirt-road up and soon you will be at the carretera to la Paz again! Good luck!

It's an old campground in Vancouver. You can have full hook-up if needed. The campsite is totally ok for one night. Especially the night before you have to give your RV back.

New and clean hotel with secure parking. Near to beach and nearby restaurants. The hotel is in a closed area where it is safe to park. Nice rooms and good prices. Small pool.

People definitely don't exagerate when they say you have to come here early. We pulled over at 8pm and we got the last spot. Self registration at the entrance. If you want to park in Lake Louise you don't need to go that early, we were there at 7am and the parking was almost empty (it's huge), on the contrary, if you want to see the sunrise in Lake Moraine, then you better go there really early, it was already full at 7:20am (they let us pass because we travel with our puppy, and dogs are not allowed in the shuttle buses).

Unfortunately they don't offer the hot showers to people unless you are staying here. The guy at the entrance mentioned that they used to send people to have a shower at a hotel in town, but right now it's been renovated.

NO Overnight Parking!!!! We asked and they said NO...due to city ordinance. Anybody still in parking lot when they close at midnight will be asked to leave.

However, we asked security and they said no problem for 24hrs...and she said her inside person said the same.

Although we didn't sleep here, we came by during the day and the place is amazing, such a great views. We managed to get a good spot around noon. It was pretty calm and with empty spots at around 5pm when we left. There is definitely room for more people here, it just depends on how people park and if they are willing to be nice.

Very nice hostel/homestay. Klara is very friendly and will help you with all her heart! The got a nice shower and even a sauna! We could use her kitchen and had a good stay!
