If you turn right at the yellow gate you will go down to this campground. a little pricey at 25 CAD a night but the free site up the road was full. the owner is a wonderful older lady who invited us up for dinner and to play cards. they also have a day use area and canoe rentals.

Lynch Creek forest service road. Wild camping along a dry creek bed. Scenic forest area with many campsites with fire rings.

RV parking at a casino just off the 5 highway. Great place to stop for a night. Plenty of space for big rigs.
We arrived at 2am and there was a security who came to help us.
No services - dry camping only. But you can use the bathroom and the water fountain in the casino.

Wifi is available at the casino too.

Become member of the casino and receive 10$ credit that can be used at the buffet.
You also get 10$ credit to play in the machine if you’d like to!

As an FYI - the local business community is apparently outraged about the car camping occurring on this street (just google "Morris St camping" and you'll see articles about it). Probably best to stay away from here given the amount of attention on this particular area.

Down in the valley with pretty views. Only a handful of people (Tuesday night) water lukeishwarm. Not bad at all:)

My wife and were travelling 2up and she developed a sore shoulder. We came to Medellin and had appointments with the Physiotherapists at Bestrong and they were great. They have a large area with all the required equipment and we were happy with the result and the professionalism of the staff

So good, i loved! The best place to continuos your Journey, dont go if is more than 4pm. Sleep here. There is in to The Jungle, Beautiful. The People here is very good, human and help everyboad, Peoples simple and honest

Took over 3 hours to enter Russia. Exept from that, all good.

I used this garage to weld my motorbike back together. they were very professional, quick and extremely cheap. I'd definitely recommend! one of the best welders I've found in Mongolia!

Far from a great place, IMO. Road into park is very graded downhill which means any street parking would be extremely unlevel. There are no signs about parking , so perhaps it is legal, but we did not stay and drove to the casino. The road is lined with large houses which likely are not keen on people sleeping in their vehicles out their front door either.

All good. Drive past first entrance and go to the back lot. Many others in the lot by 5pm, but tons of room.

Couldnt find the other spot listed nearby but found this one wich is great, if you are going north from Almaty, before you get on the bridge turn left and follow the gravel road untill you see it. This spot has some shade, quite flat, not much rubbish wich is not common, and just by the river, there is woodfire available if you feel like doing a fire

The garage didn't have fuel. went to the shop of the main street and the unfriendly woman charged 1.800 pesos per liter of gasoline (9.000 for 5 litres )...

Some maps (eg the iOverlander map) show main route 5 heading directly south from here to Salama, but it's not shown on maps.me at all. It is in fact a nice back-road drive. It's good gravel most of the way, just a couple of short, steep sections that might be a bit of a challenge for low-clearance 2x4. Great views and a nice shortcut if you are confident with your vehicle 😀

Awesome spot. This has to be the nicest place to park-up in Semuc Champey. Right on the river. Great little river-beach for swimming. Loved it here. Paid 30Q for truck & 2 people. There is plenty of space for big rigs, but due to the bridge construction angle, very big rigs might have difficulty turning onto the bridge to get over the river.

Good spot. The only train going by while we were there was around noon. Surprisingly quiet and lots of space.

Small campground between highway 26 and Zigzag river. 23$ per night, collected by an employee (which did not show up until we left the other morning at 8:30am). Not much noise from the highway if you take a spot near the river.

I'm a woman traveling alone. After nine months and 20K kilometers I needed someone that would inspect everything and make a project off maintaining my van. I found ruddy who was the most ptofetions and honest mechanic I've seen. For two days he worked only on my car. Drive me around to By the best parts and took almost nothing in return! 4 showers- different hours for men (every not even hour) and women (every even hour) you can look at the photo attached.
Shower token 1$ for 6 min.
loundry about 1.70$ for token.
there are 2 washers + 2 drayers.

we use only the showers and they were clean and we found 1 token in the shower so check first :)

Easy off the freeway. $20.00 a night 30 amps and water.

Two adjacent big gravel and grass turn offs / parking lots with a beautiful overview of the sea. Some cars passing by during the night.
There were 2 more vans staying overnight.
