we confirm previous comments: best is to arrive in the morning before it gets busy, fills up quickly in the afternoon and is full in the evening, empties after 10pm.
Dont expect a quiet night as it is close to the busy Motahari St.
We paid 600tsd for two nights (big rig)
Friendly and helpful warden.

Great place to stay overnight and really close to town. Beautiful view over the beach. If it wasn't raining we would have had a sunset.
Electrical sockets on the nearby lampost. Picnic benches and skateboard park. Very busy with locals in the afternoon enjoying the sea breeze.
We caught the bus at the station to El Avion restaurant and after lunch walked into Manuel Antonio.
Quepos is a busily little town with lots of restaurants, shops and friendly people.
You can relax here and dream about owning one of the many boats in the marina.

Nice and clean rooms w/ fridge and optional w/ own bathroom and a little balcony. Not sure if AC is available but fans in every room. Also rooms for 3-4 people. Furniture and installation are simple and old but clean. WiFi is not useable (too slow). Location is really good: right at the corniche, lots of cafes, Imbiss (Gads) and Restaurants in walking distance. Port, Immigration and CFS are close by (15m walking distance). Really good value for your money (especially compared to other hotels in Alexandria). We paid 475EGP per night for a double room with own bath

Nice spot for moto and bicycle tent campers. Good hidden patch about 200m south of this marked spot, completely hidden from the road.

Truck noise from the road and dog barking at night, but great when you need a place!

Saw a guy walking his dogs in the area in the morning, but he didn't seem to care I was there.

It's not so much the lake, but the whole track from Polovragi to here is one big wild camping area. The best campspot is at Curmatura Oltelului viewpoint at 1650 metres, 360° roundview over the mountains. You can also hike from up there, or drive to the 67c. At the track from Polovragi to the viewpoint are several campspots alongside the river. From the lake you can drive to Ciungetu and on to the 7A and subsequently on to the 67C to do the best part of the Transalpina. Nice drive all around!

I found this small basic posada that excepts overlanders to camp at 30 R$. Nothing fancy but has all the basic and it is central located. Friendly owner

Park just after the bridge on the side of the road. There is a path on the north-east side of the bridge to the river. It isn't much of a place, but the river is warmed by nearby Arenal volcano.

Locals use this spot. It's comfy for a quick soak.

The military guards did sent us to the obviously vakant municipality building across the village green, where we parked for the night. Quite. At the side of this building, there is a water tap.

Beautiful place and canyon. We pitched our tent at the "parking spot" at the end of the road leading to the canyon. There is as well spots for a tent next to the river. Drinking water fountain is right up at the main road.

Free parking right next to the beach in upscale neighbourhood. There are guards watching the cars and police on bicycles patrolling. Great place to leave the rig while surfing, getting some beach time walking on the promenade, eating in a restaurant or even shopping for groceries.
