We passed by and it was closed. The tourist information center showed which campings were open.

Taking coast line dirt ride to 9 palms from Cabo San Lucas and came up to a locked chain gate about 5km up the road. Had to turn around.

There are two possible places, one is parking for the walk-in campground, the other a bit further down on left. Both have nice views but are pretty unlevel. We did not stay as we could not get level after many attempts.

William is a very nice guy and a well equipped mechanic in this lovely town. We came there for an oil change and some check ups. He did more than we asked for for a really good price. Recommendable! Speaks only Spanish. You can contact him via Whatsapp: +549 260 4237034.
It is possible to pay by credit card.

Awesome spot for a night to check out the ruins in the morning and have it all to yourself. Private, but some people use it as a passageway from the nearby river to the town and there is some construction nearby. All friendly. Note: don't trust navigation to get you here, it will send you over the bridge to the other side of the river. Pull into the big white bus stop, take the left ramp, and go all the way down. Entrance to behind the red building is on the right hand side, no height restriction. Bathrooms in the bus station were fine, free early in the morning, and open all night when we were there. Enjoy!

We stayed at campsite 11, it was a really nice stay. Of course it’s a little bit more expensive - the landscape was so beautiful! Nice pool and facilities. Buffet dinner not worth the money, quite expensive for what you get. Food at the pool bar is reasonable priced.

Lovely place in a vineyard. The camp facilities are pretty basic (outdoor shower, dry toilet hole in the ground) but the solar shower was very hot and the whole place is very tranquilo. Johan the owner is such a friendly guy and we liked the pizza he made for us and the nice chats. A great place to relax a bit, especially if you want to escape music overloaded argentinan campgrounds during the weekends...;-) here it is just the sound of the birds that welcome you!

Beautiful place! The most picturesque camping we have been to during our travel so far. Campsites are spread out on huge area so even if you have a neighbors they will be at least 200 meters away. Long drop toilets, spots have braai facilities as well. Shower in the reception with hot water and restaurant (chicken burger 60 N$, coke 25N$, beer 30N$). Water available only in the reception which is pretty far if you’re staying in the last spots (10, 11 etc.). Bring everything you need and a lot of water if you don’t want to drive to the reception each time you have some dishes to wash. We were planning to stop here just for one night but the sunset and night sky was so amazing that we decided to extend our stay for one more night.

Be aware of the baboons. They even entered our car as we stand right next to the open door. Caretaker brings firewood for now 500KSH, cold beer for 300KSH. Sometimes guards at night but not always.

just to add that for us in October the river crossing between here and the 1st refugio was very deep and wide I had to Wade in water above my knees to shuttle my wife and kids. on the way back ranger net us with boots and full survival suits on but by then the river had dropped to shin deep at the most extreme. I'm sure normally there's very little water to cross but just be prepared. they mentioned plans for a foot bridge.

As previous comment mentioned, Puye hot spring also cost s/.15. So we left.
But it looks nice. There are some tour buses when we arrived at 17:00.

Good wildcamp 200m from the road under a tree. Take the road north of the main road. Look for existing fireplace on the left. Great sunset from here. We could hear a village in the distance but did not see anyone. Quite a bit of insect in the day, but much better after sunset. Road was very quiete. Only 2 vehicles during our time there.

Not too bad for being close to the road. Cul-de-Sac so no through traffic and the highway quiets right down in the night. Spot is in an old clear cut which is recuperating, has a bit of an open feel to it.

Relatively open terrain with large sites and some trees for shadow. Sites are numbered and assigned as such. Like any Queensland N.P. camping sites must be prebooked. This can be done via internet or at the nearby Ranger Station. All sites are fenced off with bollards and fences. This makes it impossible to park a car on the site proper. Park is next to river. Nice 4 km walk from the park. Lots of birds and wallabies around the campsite. AUD 13.10 (2 adults, campervan).

we stayed here 4 days and absolutely loved it!! not very leveled, but you have the whole beach to yourself and the sounds of waves are your lullaby. no moscitos. if you don't want to risk the steep part you can camp a little bit more up on the estacionamiento. we took the bycicles to mompiche each day for surfing, beautiful road of lush green.

pretty perfect overlander spot.
