Very cheap hotel in the center of Sivas. Not sure, if the city is interesting but the location is exactly halfway of many hotspots in Turkey, meaning here’s good to spend a night and recharge. Rooms are comfortable, the guys doing the night shift super friendly, and they organized a parking place opposite the hotel, on s residential parking space. You can’t ask for more for 80 Lira/Night incl. breakfast.

Thea charge 40pp plus 5R for electricity. ... but still value for money taking into account that you get on top free access to rhe tuttle project (Admission is 24R each) and breakfast is included

very easy border. we were the only ones there. took about 40min to get from Botswana into Zimbabwe. In Zimbabwe they only have single/double entry visas. No univisa (zim/zam). We paid $30pp for a single entry visa and $50 for our car (Toyota Land Cruiser 80).

This is the home of Hossein and his wife, a nice, young couple who rent out two rooms in their house and offer breakfast in the morning. It’s a charming house, you feel like at home! There’s a garden behind and a river. They speak perfectly English, can answer all your questions and love skiing/snowboarding for those who come in winter time.
The house looks like a small chalet surrounded by trees. 2km before Dizin. Just knock on the door and ask for a price and availability. Parking in front of the house. They agreed being on iOverlander. If you want to sleep in your car, they might agree as well!

Not sure if the bridge is good enough for real heavy big rigs (like ours 18 t). We turned around. Sadly.

Its a bar with guesthouse which is still under construction. No rooms available yet.
We could stay for 1 night camping on the parking lot. They asked 3500KSH for the 2 of us. We negotiated to 2500 incl. 2 beers.
Its music till late. Toilets and 1 shower from the restaurant. Meals on order only. Basic and not very clean.

We stayed here for a night on the gravel parking area just off the main road. Some of the locals came and said hello and were very friendly. They said that the village was nicer but we staye here in the end. The road is very quiet.

They seemed slightly concerned when we told them we had a dog, but when we said that we pick up after her and that we would control her, they we're fine with it. We enjoyed it. Nice beach across the street.

Big parking lot, at the beginning of the strip. Overnight allowed, just a sign with "at your own risk" because no security provided.
A very good place, in front of Mandalay Bay, you can walk on the Strip from here.

Hill top camp site in an olive grove. Clean facilities, washing machine. Owners are Dutch/ Belgium. Quiet site.

As oir truck is too high ( 3.60m ) to go to Calakmul ruines ,we decided to ask for transport . The daughter of the restaurant owner brought us to the ruins for 850 p . The road condition is really not bad comparing with Soith America and Africa , but too many low hanging trees .

nice spot for a night in the fields with great mountain view. no 4x4 needed. Just beside the road.

we could not drive the pass, it was too much snow there. but had great mountain view all the time.

we could drive over the pass (It is a little bit further as the coordinates above. and at 2748m) with our big truck from alamut valey to caspian see.

locals drive here also with small cars. so no 4x4 needed, but we are glad to have it because of rain and mud.

before we could not make it over salambar pass (3200m), it was full of snow.

the road is bride here. only the last part unpaved. it is a little bit tricky in the dark and when it rains, but great experience and fantastic views, absolutely worth it.

Good Sandwiches and ok WiFi, they also have good bread.

Santiago Sacatepequez has huge party for the Day of the Death, Nov.1. Cemetery turns into a rock fest, during the day people are flying kites, eating snacks and hanging out on the graves, in the evening there is a big concert and people are dancing on the graves. Some kites get burned at the end. They also have a competition of gigantic kites (10m high) with complicated designs, where winner is the one that doesn't fall over in the wind. Streets are full of people, different food stalls, bbq 15-20q, beer 5q, shot of tequila 5q... All event was very safe, no fireworks, strong police and military presence, guarded parking on the street for 25q whole day (we were the last car left, they waited for us!). It was crowded but seemed less than the festival next door in Sumpango, where the hwy was blocked for several km. It was a spectacle!

Basic Mexican motel. No frills. 300 pesos single. Car parking only. Pet-friendly.

Car / Motorcycle Mechanic shop that specializes itself in BMW, but they can fix pretty much everything. I had a broken gasket in my BMW motorcycle and they even explained me how to fix that in the future in case that would happen again. They can organize cheeper parts, very helpful and understanding. I don't think you can find a better place in Guate Ciuadad.
The place is run by Markus and Johann, they are speaking Spanish/English/German/Italian.
I left less money than for spare parts for my GS.

Parking lot very close to the Zocalo and all the important places in Oaxaca. 10 peso for an hour, very safe place because the family lives here to. Owner is very helpful, if you want he brings you with his car somewhere in Oaxaca. The wifi works very good. Some people think it's a camping but it's just a parking lot where you can sleep, so it's stupid to complain about cold or hot shower and the wifi. Wifi, toilet etc... is something extra on a parking lot.

25 A$ (4x4 car) - very fast check of our electric coolbox, no check of our bags. The guy saw fresh mushrooms and dry sausage and didn’t say anything.

¡CAUTION! They don't even accept bonds anymore, they only accept US dollars if you are a tourist, which is not legal! Of course I didn't stay.

Super fresh Ceviche. We went for lunch here and the place was packed with locals. Reasonable prices. Ceviche is around S20. Very tasty!

Very delicious upscale breakfast and lunch place. Meals between 75-125 pesos. Very beautiful and clean open air establishment. Super friendly. Best chilequilles we have had so far. Open 7-3. Closed Wednesday.

Beautiful campsites, swimming pools, waterslides, restaurants...

On the side of the lake. Perfect for cyclists. With the lake just facing you for a cold shower or just fill up water. Really quite during the week. don't know during the weekends. beautiful sunset. a bite humid in the morning. really worth it. small Kiosco close by.

we stay 1 night with other overlander, big parking lot, flat, you can move near to the apartments of the casino to stay more secure(the building have a security men).
no facilities, but 3 has station like 3 block of distance.
we pass a quiet night.
