Indeed a beautiful and scenic place, far away from everything. One of the best places to be!

Good to know: You have to pay for walks as a day visitor.

It is a beautiful campsite on the top of the mountain from a very nice and kind Dutch woman and Kenian men. You are in the middle of real Uganda!
They are still constructing it, but in a few months it will be ready. In the future there will be also bandas.
Now you can camp at there own property and use a cold shower and toilet there.
After Tabagonyi (coming from Mbale) you have a bridge, after a few meters you will see riceplantage at your right and a treefarm at your left. You go to the right after the signpost ‘Kufan Ngoyo Organic Farm’. (See the photo). And then stay right at every road. You will see a red fence and you’re arrived.

Wanted to camp In the jungle but right before the clearing is a fallen tree. Not possible to pass. And quite difficult to turn. Went back to gravel road to park. Didnt sleep there. Walked to the crater rim. Quite fast so it took us bit more than 2 hours. Nice view to the crater lake.

As described before, 100p per night. Cool security guard, safe and quiet place. VERY close to the historic center. Great!!!

The owner offered me a room with two beds for $12.000, but told me I would need to share if someone else arrived. Or pay the whole room, $24.000... I did not stay...

Nice rooms with private bath. Queen + single beds, TV... $22.000 one person, including breakfast. Other rooms (with shared bathroom) are very basic... The woman said she would ask one of the workers to move to another room and share with a colleague, so I could have the room for me alone... $12.000 including breakfast. I stayed on the nicer room.

Nice, good, tasty place. 6,50 bol per saltena. Tried carne, pollo and vegetal. All was good.

Beach Camp was full so we went back to Mex 1 and took the first trail towards the beach. The trail is in a dry river bed but can be driver with a 2wd. Once at the beach, the trail splits to the left. And we found a nice spot there. This is essentially right between Beach Camp and Rattelsnake beach. Free

we stayed two nights here, after asking and having had meals a la carta (12-15sols now). showers are all cold but no problem according to the weather. water is potable. no wifi, but movistar lte reception. sunday afternoon lots of people playing volleyball.

This place doesn't have parking anymore!
we wanted to stay there but they didn't allow us to park the car inside, so we had to leave.

Very nice place. Very hot shower, gas powered I believe. Wifi only near reception. 7000 pesos seems to be the high season price. Lots of trees which means lots of bird poop. The sites are small but each comes with a picnic table power and light. Recommended

Open 24 hours with card system so cheaper then quarters. Also dry cleaners office hours. Friendly and helpfull staff
