Nice place for dinner. Extensive menu, mostly Peruvian but also a lot of pizzas and even some vegetarian dishes. We had the papa chasqui (soup with herbs, cheese, potatoes and eggs), chincarron de lenchón (fried pork) and the vegetarian pasta with mushrooms. The Peruvian dishes were very tastful, the pasta was mediocre but definitely O.K. taken it was actually vegetarian.
They also have a lot of alcoholic drinks, such as artesanal beers, wine and cocktails.
Nice ambience, mostly nostalgic Western music was playing when we were there.
Price range /S 2 (sandwiches) to S/ 45 (ceviche, some pizzas). Average price for main dish around 20.
WiFi available of average speed.

a large lay by next to the road possible to camp here with tents or big rigs. it is possible to hide behind some trees and be hidden from the road, not a great spot but OK in the emergency. no facilities others than rubbish bins. has road noise.

FREE. Homichitto NF has poor signage and roads aren't labeled but we found this spot just south of Bude. The dirt road is west of the hwy and does have a sign there.

In between sand dunes, flat area not too dirty. Acces to ocean, not visible from the road.
Not facilities.
Might not be an easy acces during the rainy season ?

Best "Espresso Doble" and Machiati (each for 1,50$) just in front of the central park. Cakes (1,25-3,75$) are good as well.

From trnc we drove to controls on both sides of this new border crossing and there was no delay on showing EU passports, no formalities or paperwork and just had to show insurance on South side and a cursory custom check. Very quick.

Great Place. Had a roof tent on the pickup so it was still windy - but the view made it all worth it!

Au bord du lac avec poubelle et barbecue à disposition. la route est à côté mais ça reste très calme. On n'entendait que le bruit du lac. Très beau point de vue sur le lac et montagne

They broke the lock of our van here and stole everything. No videocameras on the parking spot! So be aware! It was extremely fast and no one has seen something. No help from the supermarket. A Facebook group told me it has happens several times here..
Don’t park at the end, better look for something in front of the entrance. And we guess that they had a car, watched us leaving, parked next to us and broke the door on their side. So try to find a spot with cars already on the sides.

slept here two nights. Nice quiet place after 10 on weekday. We parked at the dead end, closest to the plaza. Cars were angled parked and we couldn’t fit in with our camper van...so we parallel against the wall later when cars were gone...after 11 when restaurant closed. Leave early so workers can park in morning. Car or camper van only.

Note: no lights or TP in historic building bathrooms.

Thankfully someone had mentioned the garbage to drive through. There are a lot of dirt tracks leading off the roads. the rest is as stated. Almost no noise from the road unless the trucks use an engine brake.

If like me you expected the landscape to change a bit after Puerto Madryn here’s to let you know that it’s still flat and boring and monotonous. Keep those spirits up!

it's really funny this place turned into an iOverlander destination because it is tiny and they will fit up to 7 cars in the lot :-) but we felt right at home with Miriam. wifi was great. really central location. still 5$ pp+1$ for connecting our fridge in the kitchen and optional brekkie for $2pp

The guy stood on the hood of our truck to wash the camper, scratching the crap out of it and the dirty sandy rags scratched the paint on the side everywhere. He worked hard and it was 150 pesos but don’t go there with a new truck.

s/25 for one for bed "with moto". But another guy in the same dorm room with moto got charged the normal s/20. Oh well. HOT showers. Great kitchen. Love the cafe-style tables they set up in the courtyard. Bathrooms range from 'good' to 'great'. Breakfast is great. Location is great.

USA: Make sure to print out all five attachments along with the two-page application. No printed photo necessary in my case. Paid $160 directly to the vice consul, not to the bank (Chinese and Koreans paid $30 to the bank). After printing attachments at the money exchange place down the block, the whole visa process took 25 mins, including waiting in line. MAKE SURE THEY SPELL YOUR NAME CORRECTLY ON THE VISA!!! Also, he was sorta picky about clean bills, so be aware.

As described lovely coastal road, easy to do with a 2wd. Plenty of places to camp overnight on or near the beaches (closer to Puerto San Julian). At Loberia point on the right hand side you can see sea lions on rocks, dolphins swimming by and plenty of cormorants.

We went to the walmart to do some grocerys. We spent a lot of money but they still asked for the 50Q per night.
This is a big mall, the first 4hs are free. We finished sleeping in front of the mc donalds.
