This place on the side of the road is selling delicious, homemade, warm banana bread. They make it right there and it is wonderful. Help this little family out by stopping and paying a dollar! They will bring it to the window, you don’t even have to get of the rig!

After an extensive shipping from Mexico to Cartagena we found this quiet, relaxing place directly at the sea. Perfect food, nice stuff, enough place to park you car secured, nice little huts, very clean. A lot of free space and perfect hammocks. It’s not a typical hotel, it’s more like a open relaxing paradise. Contact information can be found on booking, or AirBnb. Breakfast around 8.000 - 10.000 COP, main dish 15.000 - 28.000 COP.
Bigger and longer rigs should check in advance, car similar to a Mercedes Sprinter should be fine to get there, because of the smaller little street to the hotel.

Despite it is showed in Google maps as possible route to go to Cajamarca, it is closed and abandoned. I took this road to avoid possible armed burglars at the Panamericana before the road 8 and it was 3 wasted hours.

Terrain #4. State Park avec des terrains plus rustiques mais avec service (rv dump disponible). J’aime bien ce genre de terrain. En plus la ville n’est pas très loin pour le ravitaillement et les restaurants.

Super friendly owner chatted with us as our water jugs were filled. Our 9 gallons of jugs cost 20 pesos.

yes, bad road, but nothing too crazy! easier to drive east to west but plan ahead, it takes around 2 hours to pass the rough part. after that it becomes paved but alot of ups and downs and many curves,
slow road all the time

As described, amazing jungle experience on the edge of the Sibun Forest reserve. NOTE THAT THE PHONE NUMBER HAS CHANGED. +501 624 8599. Access is a bit difficult and you must contact Melito to escort you through the Sleeping Giant Lodge property to his place beyond. Low branches from citrus trees prohibit anything bigger than a van or truck with short camper. Melito took us on a hike to see an amazing ceremonial cave hidden deep in the jungle. He is very knowledgeable about the natural environment and the history of the Maya. Great spot by the river. You're boondocking, though he has a pit toilet. Special place if they can get approvals for registering this as an official campground.

Impossible to find the dump. A very friendly person from Balneario San Juan offered to help me with a 40 liter can, I refused.

Went here to get my front rim and oil pan fixed after I ran over a big rock. They said I should come back the next day early in the morning. I went there before they opened the next day but still needed to wait until midday to get a call that they will need help from another shop. As I did not hear back from them the whole day I went there at 4pm to find out that they could not fix any of my issues but decided just to switch rear and front tire. Whole day waiting for nothing. Cannot recommend the shop even though it seems to be one of the few with at least a little bit of equipment in Antigua. Better go somewhere else on Guatemala City!

If you pass the lighthouse thru the old gate, there is a big gravel parking lot for free.
No facilities at all, just some fresh wind and some people fishing from the rocks.
We had a quiet and safe night.
Maybe on weekends more traffic.
After rain a little bit muddy.

This is more than a hostel. It's an oasis and not only because of the green and the pool. Also in a cultural sense. There is live music and other performances going on. Mauro's team is preparing food and drink for these events giving it the quality of a event space rather than just a party at a hostel. Definitely a gem.

Beautiful spot to park your van for the night. Great sunset right on the beach. There’re markets for food and restaurants within walking distance. Also a bar nearby — we’ll see how quiet it is at night

Nice hostel in downtown. excellent location walking distance to major historic buildings. good vibe, cool patio inside, communal kitchen, breakfast included and some free tours. Dormitory and private rooms. clean, hot showers and wifi. guarded free parking nezt building. Dorm bed $230mxn

Great location with camping site in front of the lake and close to the city center. 20Q pp. clod shower and swimming pool. A night watchman is securiting the place. Nice people and a decilous smell of coffee

We'll located hostel. We slept in our van for 100 bahts (1 car, 4 people). You can use toilets and hot shower.
Parking is too narrow for big rigs. Was ok for a VW t3. We could just open our pop-up roof but it was tight.

We bought a 1 month insurance for our VW t3 here. 71600kip.
They have options for shorter or longer periods.

Place where they refill gas bottles. We refilled our gas bottle here. They accepted immediately and had their own adapter.
We paid 31000k for 2.75 kg.

For 250 roepies you can stay on this large parking-area. There is a night-guard and after sunset it is deserted.
Bus to the site is right here, 10 roepies.

We had two really nice days here, enjoyed very good food, clean Pool and a professional and interesting Coffe tasting.
The best first impression we ever had when arriving a "campsite", extremly friendly stuff, welcome drink included!

Nice hotel and secure parking for our motos inside the building. I couldn't get the hot water to work in the shower and it's gotten pricey at 80s for a room with two beds.
