Absolutely incredible views. We spent two nights while hiking around the canyons. You can camp in 3 places, above the mirador, in the lot below it, or on the sand bar next to the river. There is a suspension bridge across the river for two hikes. One goes along the canyon, the other (follow the red arrows beginning 30 mts from the bridge) goes up a side canyon to the top of the mesa. Unfortunately the trail up the right side canyon has a locked gate about 2km in. Very clean, even with trash cans. Restrooms are locked.

We parked our US truck camper here for nearly three months. This is one of the places that the large trucks park when carrying loads to Cusco. It is a huge dirt parking lot. We're were able to park our truck behind the office. We're felt it was safe and secure. We paid 5 Soles a day. Much cheaper than Quinta Lala and closer to the airport.

Very chilled spot, space for the Unimog behind a gate. Take a guided walk through town and watch the sun set over the Niger. Great spot.

Lots of RV’ers up the arroyo, beach is really nice, rained hard on Wednesday so the road from Los Barriles is best suited for high clearance 4x4 right now. Lots of stuck rental cars!

Nice safe place to camp. Big grassy area to park. Shade from some large trees and a decent breeze. Take a dip in the water, it’s very refreshing! Paid 50peso to camp and 20peso each to swim.
Clean bucket toilets, no other facilities.

Stayed 2 nights. Really cool little jungle site. Nice pools filled with spring water. Bathrooms are okay. Say tons of birds including a Tucan and some macaws. Paid 80per person per night. Not to hot in the evening this time of year!

To elaborate on the vague description.
There is a narrow strip of land above the beach that is half hidden by some bushes. it's a little uneven for a tent but vans should be OK. The ground seems firm enough but best to check when it's been raining.
Do not drive onto the beach since the sand is soft and deep. and the tide line comes to the top.
There is a house across the road but other than that there is some privacy from the bushes.
The road has very little traffic, cars and no trucks, is asphalted and it's a pretty coastal drive along to Candelara before it steers uphill to ripio.
The. bushes offer shelter from the wind blowing from West, South and probably from the east too. Just exposed from wind coming across the water.

Fuel station with diesel at the edge of Izeh. They have a card.
There are no more fuel stations, if you drive from here to Shoushtar (secondary roads).
Don’t stay in town, if you can avoid it.
Hotels are overpriced and filthy.

Really quite place, huge grassy place with ample space to park your vehicle. Access road not known by maps.me but Google Maps knows. If you're coming from Wartburg, pass the HG garage with Shell pump, then a bridge and after 300 meters you will see the campsite sign on your right. Then follow the white arrows. Price a bit high at R140pppn but the waterfalls are beautiful! Shame we were woken up by the lawnmowers who started right next to us...

The drive there is not big rig friendly, we cut a few branches but your truck will get scratched and you have to do a few drive arounds large trees. 130 R pppn. Campsite was somehow under repair with some cheeky workers hanging around watching us. Very close to beach and a nice fireplace on the beach. We wanted to stay two days but the repair work and all the workers were a bit of a bother. Restaurant and food was good.

The only mechanic in town. He was very helpful. We had a problem with the lit of our fuel tank, he could fix it for a very reasonable price.

With 600 pesos (2 adults + 2 little kids + camper) quite expensive, but recommendable, especially when it’s very windy/rainy. Hot showers and a room with cooking facilities and a fire pit.

This is a first stop if you're going from north to south along the famous Ruta Yerba Mate. This is definitely a thing, created by the sector and tourism components. Includes info about Yerba Mate, restaurants, and places to stay. Check out their website for contacts and ideas. As far as this coop goes, the tour Includes a video, and a 30 minute walk thru. If they are prepared it also includes a tasting. This coop is responsible for brands like Aguantadora, Sinceridad and their organic label Pampa. Ask for Crista, the marketing manager. Many speak some German too.
