Excellent spot not too far from the south entrance to Yellowstone (20mins drive). Very pretty, on top of the river.
The place says 4 spots only, but there were many more people here. And the ranger said it was alright. They may transform it into an organized campground but for now it's free.
Nice attached toilet pit as well.
Very close to some hot springs.
Also, the nearby lodge has a really nice restaurant for good affordable breakfast.
No signal whatsoever (though you can get wifi at the nearby lodge).

Maintained provincial campsite the park ranger is very firm in no party or causing a ruckus so behave. Nice spot and it’s a first come first served spot so don’t send 3 people to try and grab 3 spots

Sign says RV Dump Station closed until further notice.

Sticky rice Thai food one of the best in town staff super friendly

We were directed to park in the back of the casino. Lovely quiet spot as it is a little further away from the highway than the front. Passing through on the way to the UP. Right off US 35. Verizon isn't working but AT&T is great.

the washboard road coming in mean drive slow and enjoy the
veiw want to note there is not electricity at site and I do have limited cell service
into the outback in the morning

Rose, our host, and her staff were very welcoming. Although we intended to camp for R150pppn, we stayed in the tented camp instead for R400 for the tented room. Although a rustic seeing, the facilities are clean and neat. Highly recommended. A very good experience. Traditional dancing and meeting the local residents.

As previously stated. Nice beach, quiet at night. Trails are a worth a walk. 2 other vans came after us. Plenty of room for a few more rigs.

Slightly impressive sight to see about 40-50 RVs and vans parked in the lot of the Walmart. We arrived shortly before 10pm ans the lot was nearly full. Quiet despite all the vans!

Nice place next to the beach, very quiet at night, you can sleep here.

Nice area outside of town, old cement structures around, looks like old cattle area from way back. Good grass on the Northside, LTE is 1-2 bars on vodaphone. Nice trees, overall a good stop for a night.

Really nice place. You can put your tent/van right in the forest or just in front of it. Many local campers and fishermen. Barricade was open when I arrived.

Water fountain in the middle of forest, near the picnic park in Portuguese called (Parque de merendas). Near the road, birds singing a lot very beautiful. The entrance is closed picnic park before when you go down to.

A quiet site for parking any vans less time limit, 2 gas stations so close (50m) with bathrooms.

Is a 24 hours gas station doing my Route 66 drive in this area for the 66 passport but got here late everything is closed this is the only one open ask the guy inside if I can park here for the night he said ok

Parking near the lake beach. You cannot enter if your vehicle is higher than 2 m. We spent the night here with some other vanlifers. There are public toilets, trees that give you some privacy and camping tables.

Couldn’t find the fire rings and cleared spots mentioned, although I arrived after dark. Slept in my CRV in a gravel pullout. One car passed during the night, but no one bothered us. The sound of the creek is lovely.

Beautiful! Nice and quiet. Just like the other comments described it. We are here for a break on our way south. We‘d definitely stay if we weren’t short on time.
