This is one of the best camping grounds in Boyacá. Very friendly owners. Wifi is good, also they have very nice bathrooms. Suitable for small and medium size rigs.

Everything as previously stated. We'd recommend to bring plenty of cash to the island. While most dive shops accept card payment (8% fee) almost none of the bars/restaurants do. There are only two ATM on the island and both did not function/ran out of cash while we were there during Semana Santa. Ferry on mainland and the island accepts card payments and there's WiFi inside the office area. Diving on Utila was cheap and good, most places offer free accommodation when buying several fun dives or doing you OWD license.. Not much else to do on the island though besides diving and partying.

Carolina é um distrito de Alfredo Chaves. Um pequeno lugarejo, com 40 casas somente. Todo mundo se conhece. Tem 1 padaria, que a noite serve lanche(hamburguer) e uma mercearia. Entao se for ficar alguns dias, melhor abastecer a dispensa.

Second loop closed, but several great spots available. Beautiful sunset overlooking numerous seals on rocks. Dump station in good shape, $10. Day use, including access to dump station, was free.

Swimming pool is open! 2 for small children and one bigger one by the waterslide. They made a great effort renovating the place. Showers and toilets are working.
Everything is newly painted. There is also a playground, 2 basketball fields and a sports area and everything is free!

Great spot after the border for 5$ pp. I also stepped into a ball of very small ticks. There is no Lyme disease in Costa Rica and they can be washed off in the shower. Still not the nicest feeling 🤣, but pura vida eh?

Coming from Mbeya, turn left. Just before the barrier you turn left again. It's a dirt road which crosses a small river after a few meters. We stayed just before the river on the left. Nobody showed up. We were alone all afternoon, evening, night and the next morning. It's nothing special but seems to be safe and quiet.

Exactly as described. We didn't try the toilets. Parking attendants are there to ensure you don't block other cars but we're friendly and helpful, and didn't charge us anything. We left our van there during the day to walk into town and it felt safe to do so. Football was being played until quite late the night we stayed, but it wasn't too disruptive.
Highly recommended.

The guards are very strict and insist on 15’000 Kwanza entry for camping. The road to the Bay is badly corrugated.
Didn’t camp there.

Great place as discribed - it's ok to reach it with a van, the comments encouraged us to pass the bridge 😊 It rained the whole time we stayed there but still beautiful.

Casino opens 24h, big parking lot, 30 minutes from Miami Beach. We’ve asked permission to stay overnight and were told OK to park in quiet place, away from the crowd. Police guard all night, feel safe, just a bit of noises and not too much bright lights

nice little spot to camp, it was 330 pesos with access to a room just to shower and use restrooms. staff is friendly and there is a pointbreak down with a wave that probably works well with a south swell. the road to access is not too bad. hardpack with some gravel sections nothing terrible

This is now the Ohana Family Cafe with a mixed menu of Hawaiian and typical cafe foods.
There is one other place a block away, on the same side of the road. Pie-O-Neer Cafe. They have a daily special, Sunday brunch deal and lots of pies.

Roberto es una muy buena persona que te recibe con mucha calidez, pues Roberto no va al mundo, el mundo va a Roberto. Hicimos hasta un tour gastronómico con el por Guadalupe y fué un momento inolvidable.

Really nice place, awesome views of the water. Swimming pool, showers, wifi and access to palapas. Monday and Tuesday the restaurant is closed so it was super quiet which was nice. Very expensive though as their price is for two people only and they charge for each extra person, so we paid an extra 75p each per kid for a total of 500p per night.

Stopped here for the night as we were running later vs. schedule. Arrived around 10:30. Security came and knocked on the door and seemed uncertain about us staying. After checking with someone else she returned to confirm we were good staying. Some road noise. Fairly isolated with RV sales lot adjacent on two sides.

Great spot tucked against the trees with the view of the mountains. Large rock fire ring. Beautiful sun from the east in the morning across the meadow. 4 bars Verizon. 40 mpbs. A few ruts on the short drive in but I made it find in my fwd Promaster van.

If you’re looking at the entrance the spigot is in the short “alley” on the right side of the building. Folks were suuuuper nice and even helped me back in, after hours, as they were loading up for a catering job.

Ives Park. We were headed here but mis-copied the coordinates. We spent the night in a Clarkson University parking lot by accident. This would have been much nicer. There are lots of cars parked overnight and a few overlanders too. Good Verizon service.

We have just left after a wonderfully relaxed 3 night stay. Martino and his wife are looking after the place for the moment and were so welcoming and friendly, we had great chats and they offered to take us to the supermarket and beach so we wouldn't have to take our 4x4 tent down.
The campsite is spotless and has warm showers - what a luxury! The beach is a gentle 15 min walk away and really quiet with a great sunset.

Sign at the entrance says it's a designated camping area. Large gently sloped gravel parking area off quiet rural road. A couple narrow overgrown paths lead away from gravel but we did not explore to see if there are spots for tents. Main road is paved, any car can get here (we're in a 2wd Honda Fit). US Mobile has cell coverage but no data, T-Mobile has neither.

Small parking with the River in 20m distance, the road is also close but almost no traffic at night. There are some places to sit and trash cans as well.

Possible to swim in the river or do fishing here (need to buy permit in Wasserbillig 5€)
