Standard Cracker Barrel. Called and asked permission to stay overnight in our camper van and was told that it was OK. It’s a large lot, but there are many areas that are not level. However, we were able to find a level parking space. There are also designated RV spots. All in all a nice stay. There was some road noise from the highway nearby, but it wasn’t too bad and earplugs helped too. One other rv was there when we were. Helpful that there’s a planet fitness down the road. Would stay again.

Nous sommes arrivés trop tard et le portail été fermé. Attention le parc est fermé le lundi.
Nous avons passé la nuit à l’entrée du parc sans problème.

We actually stayed for free about 1km up the road, right on the river after you make the left hand turn for Pozo de Culebra. Two perfect nights of campfires, swimming, and peace. One of my favorite spots on the whole trip.

nice site. room for a few rigs comfortably. lots of open space to run around. National Forest area with 14 day camp limit. water & toilets are a short drive to nearest rest stop and gas just a short distance beyond that. this section is right next to a cattle grate and the road is fairly busy. car passing every 10-15 min ish. shooting noise nearby. none is bothersome to me but may be if you're looking for complete silence. at&t shows 3 bars lte and T-Mobile is at 1-2. Able to stream Netflix with some minor buffering.

Beautiful spot with seaview, quite and no other cars along the road at night (you are in sight of the dirtroad but wont botter you). Lots of birds in your sight. Easy accessible for 2wheel drive, you can find some flat area or use some stones. Added photo for view.

Rigs of all kinds dotted the area. Easy to find, felt safe. Stayed two nights in two different lots. Level ground, some street noise.

You can park overnight here but it is very very noisy! Of course it was Saturday night, but all night long kids with fast and furious aspirations use the road for racing .. and then of course music and parties .. maybe on a weekday in winter it’s ok lol

Right along the beach and close to the road but it’s quite at night and really in the evening too.
There are lots of spots to free camp in this road to the most southern point of continental America

Space for a motorcycle and a tent with a fantastic view of Atitlan.

It's mostly out of view of the road, though it does appear to be a popular spot for locals. I wouldn't expect anyone will bother you.

Tigo signal, don't know about Claro.

Beautiful café on the first floor with balcony. Very good coffee specialities like Cappuccino, sweet fruit cocktails and they also serve small dishes of food. We liked the aubergine chutney with fresh bread.
Opening hours are from afternoon till late at night. Prices are okay, a Cappuccino was about 45 Toman.
Entrance is in a small alley between clothing shops.

Beautiful beach, like most of them in this area if Mexico.
Derick, the owner of the RV's area, is kind and nice. For the first night We didn't had enough space - There are 4-5 spots and the rest (6-7) are occupied by permanent trailers. So he took 240 pesos for the first night (without electricity and water connection) and for the next 300 pesos.
We got WiFi from he's friend Robert which was has great connection for 50 pesos.

Cons: The place is crowded, Toilets has no seat, Showers got salty water.

We stopped here late in the evening desperate to find a place to stay or camp since everything was booked due to a local festival. They no longer allow camping, apparently. We were able to get a room in their hostel for 5,000 arg pp/pn.

We spent one night here, many people come during the day but most leave after sunset. Some people come and go in the evening but at night it’s completely empty and you only hear the noises of the jungle. There are bathrooms but they are disgusting so don’t count on them. We parked to the left under some palm trees so we are not at the parking with everyone. A family came to say hi and ask us what we are visiting. Everyone is very friendly in Santa Rosa.
