You need a copy of the certificate of health one copy of the vaccinations

If you have no copy, go right next door (looking at the doors it’s to the right) to the little tienda with no name. On the left there is a young man on a computer. He will enter you and your pet information online and give you a number plus make a copy of the health certificate. About 2.50 USD

Take that number and the copies to the VENTANILLA UNICA de comercio exterior. Give copies only. Pay $10 USD by card only. Wait. Get the official form.

I was told this is the very last step. There is nothing else needed

I was told this is the last step.

This place has a water spigot, bathrooms with warm water and a place to walk your dog. We spent the afternoon here doing dishes and charging solar panels. Open sun up to sun down.

Not going to stay overnight because right next to the road, but a gorgeous location. And 4 bars Verizon!

As said 2 minutes to get rid of the TIP. Super clean bathrooms btw if you need to go before entering Colombia.

*Togo - New Visa Rules !!!*

Here is what I would have liked to know, before showing up at the border today:
Togo no longer issues transitvisa at the border. Since 10 days ago.
Apparently there are 2 options:
- Embassy in Accra.
- Online application.
I will take a bus back to Accra tomorrow to see if I can get it at the embassy. It is faster and cheaper than online.
Will update after I get news.

Gates closed due to high water 4/23/2024. Not sure how long it takes the water to go down, maybe call them before you come out here.

The whole year 'round you can take one of the ski lifts up for 1km for 5000 pesos pp. Pretty fun!

asked customer service permission to stay the night, and their policy is no overnight parking.

Easy access and free. Dump hose reached but their black tank flush hose was too short. Note that this is the Maverik station on the south side of town, not the one further north.

Filled diesel directly into tank for local price.

Entel shop. Very helpful when we had isssues to register our phones.

All said already. Wonderful! One of the most beautiful private campsites I’ve been in South America. Will stay here for all the time I visit the falls. Just perfect spot. Price at the moment: 7000 ARS per person.

Private finca... Really beautifull and you do not need to walk to much to get 8n the blue water.
did not ask the price because the owners kindly let in for free. was raining. And they taught a place do sleep at Bajos del Toro...

They built a structure and a wall between the streets and the small beach, new houses left and right. It still looks nice, but not really an option if you need a bathroom or access to nature for this purpose.
There was a clean and spacious bathroom open - all night, although I was told that it would be closed - in a structure with stalls just at the central plaza.
I finally stayed in a small road leading to the beach walk.
The night itself quiet, but a lot of barking by stray dogs, partly aggressive.
Actually, not a comfortable place, in all, although the people are very friendly .
Probably full of day tourists on weekends.

A perfect place to camp or store your vehicle. Grant and Sarah, the owners, are very welcoming. They also sell our book EXPLORE GEORGIA, a must have for any overlander!

The campground was closed but there is some places next to another lake and that is open ! Very nice view

You can stay up to 8 hours, bathroom, pet area

Hotel run by local people. Double bedroom with shower/AC/fan from 240 GHS including one breakfast. They also serve food. Quiet expensive for this area. Gated parking area for cars.

Still $12 for a single room with private bathroom. The place is kept clean, has a very hot shower, and has good wifi. No problem bringing my bicycle inside the room. Very nice and friendly people here.
