Confortable, leveled and lots of space to spend a few nights. Very quiet during the day and night except some weekends when people come here to drink. During the day there are people preparing boxes with vegetables and fruits, so you can buy some fruits and vegetables cheaper. |

katharina_teut | We crossed from Tajikistan into Kyrgyzstan end of April. No problem at both borders, everything went smooth and fast. Nobody wanted some money. The pass between the 2 borders was still covered in snow and mud, so it was challenging riding our motorcycles. It took us several hours for 20km because it was so sloppery and we dropped the bikes a couple of times. Should be better in summer :-) |

Happy Camper | This is NOT BLM land! It is private property which has been invaded by homeless camps. I had a long conversation with a local landowner who explained that the website postings are in error. They frequently put up No Trespassing signs and the homeless take them down. The locals do not have a good way to get rid of them. My husband and I stayed one time, thinking it felt unsavory there. The second time we were stuck for a place to stay so we went but were told by the local resident that none of the places on ioverlander along the dirt roads are blm land. He said that if you literally go overland, with no roads, several miles east beneath the craggy low mountains it is blm over there. But people go out and shoot and make it inhospitable there as well. Do not invade these peoples neighborhoods, they are having a bad time of it. |

compulsorybeauty90 | quite a few spots past the gulch trail head. Perfectly good road, only a few pot holes and rocks to watch out for. 3 bars of 5g VZW. Awesome views in some spots but you can see Pikes from pretty much anywhere. The camping area past this one is currently full of logger trailers and equipment. |

grandpurple88 | Slept here the night before with a couple other car campers after we called and they gave an ok to park overnight. everything was fine the first night. We came back a second night after a baseball game and Denver and got the knock from a Sheriff telling us to leave. Keep that in mind |

gorgeousstencil43 | Really nice spot with beautiful sunrise view. Not too far from Vegas but far enough to get away from others. Lots of space out here and had three bars of service (ATT), some areas with two bars. Spot I stayed at was close to the road and had a fire pit. There was one other vehicle here when I arrived farther up the mountain (they had their lights on, but felt pretty safe. No coyotes but did hear lots of laughing from donkeys. Will definitely come back to this spot if I’m in the area again. |

14honeybadgers | Not a bad overnighter but a little tired. We. Heard the lions during the night and woke up to antelope and a donkey and horse grazing on our doorstep which was really cool. Sadly the place needs attention but it’s cheap and I doubt there are better alternatives. 2/5 |

personalfisherman15 | Good Spot to spend a Night. Best place is prob close to blue house. There was a security guard def used to bike travellers. There is a bathroom by the blue house at the entrance. On the left side of the beach there might be people drinking at night. So was I told by people who drank there. |

plannedfield21 | There are several flat campsites in what looks like a dirt parking lot. Campers came in until 12:30 AM and the place was crowded with no privacy. The traffic on 525 seemed to go on all night. The views were pretty, but I’d not stay here again. I’ve been coming to Sedona for 35 years and have loved it until the last 15. The place is nothing like it used to be. Traffic is awful, you can hardly find a parking place and there are too many people everywhere (including hikes). This will likely be my last stop here. Also, the camping around Sedona sucks. |

Hunter Hastings | Old and poorly maintained playground facility. Spooky in a cool way. I showed up at 8:30 to a locked gate. I called the phone number on the gate and was forwarded to the police. The police gave me a four digit code to get into the gate after hours. Several sites all with power and water. I took a morning walk at about 730 and was greeted by shotgun shots in the woods at a dangerously close distance. on one hand, it's Texas, and not a big deal. On the other hand, why was somebody shooting at 7 AM near a playground? |
