Perfect to get away from the touristy view point and camp all by yourself. Didn’t had any internet, so location might be a bit off. When you have the touristic view point, drive up and take the dirt road to the right.

IOverlander isn’t taking the right coordinates, these are correct: (43.4055636, 54.1078313)

Sushi/asian-ish place with interesting food and several vegetarian / vegan options, typical old-town prices.

Camping area not open. As of this posting, the Army Corp of Engineers website did not provide a status of the camping area either open or closed or scheduled dates. It does however correctly indicate that the boat ramp is open and apparently the few sites in the parking lot area are available for dry camping. Dump station has concrete barriers preventing use and appears permanent with weeds growing up all around.

We arrived after the gate closing hours (around 16h), so no ranger at the entrance, but when we arrived at this parking lot around 17h (the only one you can stay for the laguna 69 hike), a ranger went out of the house and made us pay the entrance fee so we just think that the season started and now you will pay the entrance whenever you enter the park. And when we left our van at 6h to start the hike, the ranger was already out his house so he would have made us pay anyway. But it's a nice place to stay for the night and a wonderful and accessible hike there.

Unfriendly receptionist. Cheapest Room is 7000 CFA now. Rooms were all “full” (you were able to see multiple open doors of unused rooms) when I came there. No option to sleep in the parking - the space is needed for the vehicles.

Came there another time in the evening and asked if it’s possible to use the wifi. They first asked for 5000 CFA just for using it and then got down to 2000 CFA, but I refused.
And there was not one car in the parking area ^^

This place does not exist or has a wrong location. There is nothing, that could be a copy shop near the GPS coordinates.

They do a good job, they repaired 2 lights and a door lock. Indeed already be there at 8, we were here at 09:30 and had to wait 2 hours before anyone could help us, but we could work on the van ourselves meanwhile in their parking lot.

We used the services of Roberto while doing the Santa Cruz Trek. He brought us at 5am to Cashapampa and picked us up 3 days later in Vaqueria. He is very reliable and even brought us some sandwiches when he picked us up at the end of the trek 😍. Paid 300 Soles for a the Taxi to bring us to Cashapampa and pick us up in Vaqueria. He also drives you to other lagunes eg. Laguna 69 if you want to do a day trip. He will wait for you until you'll be back. He drives very safely, not like the other crazy Peruvian drivers 😃.

Nice sites not too close, bathrooms are very clean, showers and laundry are nice. Great place to put in our kayaks at the beach.

Made the tour for two people as part of a round trip. Our guide made the agreement and afterwards we paid 20k for the two of us (Boat with local guide and tasting of palm wine and handcraft show). The the only answer was that Benin is expensive. Now I knew iOverlander. Think that this will help us to save some money, thanks!

Established campground, but from October to May 15 the campground has no services and is free for winter camping. The lake is gorgeous and on a beautiful weekend in May the campground is almost full and the sites are close together. Don’t miss the Lussier Hot Springs! Wonderful, rustic, natural hot spring that feels real. On the river, with three pools of different temperatures.

Now, we are traveling around South America about 15 months and we can say Lavanderia Suiza were one of the nicest hosts we have been. Ruedi's bakery bakes the best bread yet and Miriam does laundry for you. The conversations with them were interesting and surprising at the same time. We would have loved to stay longer. Thank you for everything.

It’s just a huge levelled pullout above Rio Intag besides the street shortly after a small settlement coming from the south. No infrastructure, a nice view towards the river and no traffic during the night. Cows in the morning.

On our way from Mindo to Otavalo we turned left at Nanegalito and took the smaller roads. Until Nanegalo the road is narrow but paved and in good condition. Then follows a ~ 55 km long stretch of unpaved road with potholes but often beautiful views. After crossing Rio Pamplona we turned left and immediately crossed Rio Intag. The whole stretch of unpaved road took us nearly 3 hours. There aren’t many options to spend the night along that narrow road. We were glad to find this spot.

Lovely and clean place, great hot shower. We didn't use the outdoor kitchen, but it looked good. Beach only a few minutes on foot. Sabine speaks german and english and is very kind.

Gravel lot on the side of a small road. Near the lake. No amenities, but good cell reception. Haven’t tried but guess it would be a good spot

Stayed three nights in our Ekko (class "B+" style motorhome). Did not check in or anything. There were a number of other RVs of widely varying types, from vans to big class A's, to trailers of varying sizes, mostly congregating toward the SW corner of the southern lot. The lot is well lit, not exactly quiet—it's a casino after all—but clean and safe. Potable water and sewer dump a block to the south at the Chevron station. This place is a real gem, and it's otherwise difficult to find good places to stay near Spokane. Please be respectful, keep the lot clean, and patronize the businesses to thank them.

Campground down the road was full, so we opted to try this Boondocking spot. Spacious pull out. Lovely creek views & bubbling audio, although hard to get down to creek. Road is busy with bikes and convertibles enjoying the cool air and twisty roads. Traffic will slow down at night. Some houses nearby so keep this clean & be respectful.
