Stayed here one night, four or five vehicles when we arrived about 10:30 p.m. More arrived later. An occasional loud vehicle passed by on the street, but it was pretty quiet.

We got robbed at the airport parking lot, we left the van 2 hours while visiting the market when we came back we found a broken window, they took all the values…..so sad. Now we are trying to get access to the safety cameras but the manager said that we need and police order and they don’t guarantee the safety in the “free area”. Don’t leave your van unattended.

Old favourite from 15 years ago, now a ‘never again’ place:
-Tuesday night, thump thump thump music from the huge bar next door.
- Very strong floodlights all over the only flat places to camp, like being in an interrogation prison, hard to sleep in a roof tent, too bright.
- Almost no flat areas to camp, used to be able to camp up top. Only steep slopes.
- Constant late arrivals (21:30!) of two week tourists in rental Hilux’s, who then park next to you and rattle and thump around until 23:30 making dinner with loud conversation
- A lot of noise from Maun itself which is a busy town now…
- Ask how many trucks are due in before paying to camp…
As ever, friendly staff. Nice place for a drink in the bar, but don’t stay, better options exist.

Multiple spots along the road to Dunnet head car park. This one is enough for one/two park ups. Just off the road, quiet and slightly sheltered.

What a lovely desert campsite backfaced to a Mountain range on the east. Each campsite has their own private ablution block. Facilities were nice and clean. Dawie, the owner, was very welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay. Cost was R180pp. Daniel can be contacted on +264 811 223543.

Great portable water location that is easily accessible about 25 ft from the road where you can hook up your hose.

No issue for one night.
Lot of people during day but pretty quiet at night, except the noisy sound of the river !! Many campers inside tents on sides of the river or near the big parking lot.
Pit toilet on this same big parking lot ~100 meters

As described. Really nice spot although road coming in is a bit bumpy. Had out 21’class B van no issues. Be cautious on sand roads f going down the beach. No one here when we showed up and took the first spot at the edge of the peaceful and picturesque.

J’ai eu un peu de misère à trouver, il est bon de se fier à la carte dans l’app pour voir si on approche ou non, le chemin assez magané mais en prenant son temps. J’étais seul, tranquille, belle vue quand la brume et les nuages se sont poussés.

Wild camp site for multiple tents, ground almost or not flat, in a field (barrier open). Easy access from the road via a path. Tiny river along the path. Hidden. Average 4G. Not very good but better than nothing, better here: 63.90878, 11.26737. Leave the place clean!

£10 per night with no electricity for two people and a camper van. Toilets are just OK and drinking water and dump station is available. There is no shower or WIFI. Cell signal is weak.

But it’s a beautiful green lawn you can park on. Our cat loved the area. Gate is pad locked and you need to call to receive a code to open the gate yourself. It’s a little tedious. But for the price and quality, we would stay again.

When we called, the first question to us was whether we were club members, which we said yes. But when staff came later to our van, they didn’t ask for verification.

Huge campground with all amenities. Great showers with water pressure! Off-season there are not that many campers. Be sure to chose a place far from the main road, which is very noisy at night. Price was 4.400 pesos for 2 persons and a camper.

Close to the center we found this place with parking lots (is dificult found where parking) is quiet and have free bathrooms. We spent two nights here.
